I met him at the house and he came in, looked at our torn couch and gave us several solutions to remedy the repair. He is a true artisan and can fix just about anything including a cracked car dash. Great customer service initially. Needed cushions refilled…read morewith FIRM foam. Give samples that were many years old to choose from. Turn around time was great and I didn't mind paying more. Cushions were filled with foam that felt like what I had before. Emailed twice to share feedback and ask for suggestions. Ignored both times. Person who ran my debit card tried to illegally charge a fee for using a debit card and was quite argumentative. Initial fee for credit card was 4%. Most places charge 2-3%. You're not allowed to make money off cc fees. Overall, cannot recommend bc I didn't get what I paid for. Replies to business response: Would you like to clarify how old the samples were that I was given? I said I wanted something close to cement but with a little give. Given that the samples provided were so old (you stated his multiple times) I thought what I would receive would be much firmer. You also shared that the most firm sample wasn't much more firm than the one I chose so why pay the difference. Regarding payment, I absolutely used a credit card for the first payment. I had to ask for the breakdown as it was not provided by you initially. When I paid the remaining balance in person it was with a debit card. It IS illegal to charge a fee when paying with a debit card and I made the person checking me out fully aware so that hopefully you change your business practice so that a future customer doesn't report your business to the AG. I did not threaten you, your company, or the person who handled the final transaction. As far as questioning what could be done after having spent approx $350 on foam that wasn't any better than what I had previously, I was looking for communication, but after ignoring two emails I decided to write a review. Maybe try communicating with folks rather than ignoring them.

We gave the "Family business" a try as they had a nice story and seemed reputable. I should have…read morechecked prior reviews first. They were to recover an 100 year old antique chain with fabric from Calico. The chair was missing a wood wheel from one of the four casters and we explicitly discussed trying replace the wheel but do no remove the casters. The sister Anna agreed that removing the caster on such an old chair was not recommended. They picked up the chair and another item to be covered and we were told it would be 2-3 weeks for completion. After waiting for a month we called and were told they had someone quit and were delayed, at two months we were told COVID and other excuses and when we approached three months I told them I was coming to pick up the items and take them somewhere else and Anna said they were almost done. Another two weeks go by an finally they set a date for delivery. At first Anna apologized an offered a 15% discount for the 3 month delay, problem was she increased the total price by $100 and added a $40 delivery fee so the revised price was the same if not higher than the original. Play cards much? I was so done with these people and the lying I wrote a check to get them off my property but then noticed they removed the rear casters on my chair put felt pads to cover the holes and then put those caster on the front legs and cracked a leg. I called immediately and Adrian ( the brother) agreed he would cover the cost of a proper repair by another shop. We all agreed not to remove any casters and instead they remove all four, throw two away and fake the repair by putting the incorrect rear casters on the front leg. I am now taking the chair for proper repair to furniture care of texas and taking them to small claims for the repairs because they never answer the phone. Beware of people in business who never answer the phone and don't believe a word they tell you as they can't stick to the truth and make endless excuses. This chair has been in my family for over 50 years and is over 100 years old and they could care less that the broke the leg and screwed it all up. Many reviews have similar problems and I wish I had read them before entrusting them with such an important piece.
