Basically, I have a trip coming up in April, and I called LaserAway to see if they had any specials going on right now for Botox and filler. When I called in, the representative transferred me to the manager Amanda to talk about the specials and to book the appointment. We then booked the appointment and I immediately paid for the service because Amanda said that the discount would not last long, so I made sure to book it so that I wouldn't miss out on the discount. Anyways, a few days went by, which allowed me some time to think about the purchase, and that's when I realized that I should call to cancel the service for right now and request a refund. I get work done at LaserAway all of the time, so I could come back at a later time to book something else if I choose to. Anyways, I spoke with a representative about canceling my appointment and to request a refund. The rep. reassured me that a refund was possible as well since I did not use the service at all, but she told me that I would need to speak with Amanda since it was her that scheduled the appointment. I then spoke with Amanda to cancel the appointment and to request a refund. Amanda told me that she can give me store credit, but not a refund. I asked why she didn't tell me about the no refund policy before charging my card and she really had nothing to say about it. Overall, this is horrible customer service! Be aware of this place and of people like her because they're incredibly desperate for money and will scam you for anything.

The staff on the phone, male, told me the earliest they can schedule was at least 2 days from the day I made the appointment since I was a new client. So I went with the earliest date and time that was available for me and made my appointment for that date. On the day of, I came in and the front desk staff tells me, "oh your appointment was cancelled because it's too soon for the technician to see you". I had already driven for 30min to get here, took time out from my work. They had the time to call me but pretty much waited until I got there in person to tell me that they cannot. I left right away because I didn't want to waste more time away from work. Once I came back home, I called the office asking why they couldn't give me a call sooner that they cannot have me in. Their answer: "we had a technical issue so we couldn't call". Such BS. Then use your personal mobile or something to call your client. I pretty much cancelled my appointment on the spot, never returning. Clearly, the staff here are not well trained. One staff saying one thing, and the other staff telling me different response. I ended up going to a different laser removal business and they were able to have me in the day of so I don't know what their deal is not letting new clients to come in two days later from the date you make an appointment. Don't waste your time at this Yorba Linda location.

Most recently, I've been focused on clearing up my back because I've struggled with breakouts. It's killed my confidence. Sydney suggested a series of chemical peels. We did the first round 4 weeks ago and OH MY GOSH. My skin is almost entirely clear. Between the chemical peel and The Perfect Derma Body Wash, my skin looks amazing. I'll never use Proactiv again. It's a huge waste of money. The week of peeling following the peel is worth it. I'm shocked at what a substantial difference even one treatment has made. Simultaneously, I've been working with Brandi and had a microneedling series done. My skin looks more youthful.     I went to Alcler exactly a year ago in November 2024 for Ultherapy as I was told by the consultant…read moreand nurse that it would not burn any fat on my very thin face and give a "lifting" effect, if the settings are set correctly. I trusted them so I proceeded. Fast forward a full year, I can confidently say it absolutely DID burn the very little fat I had on my lower face and left deep vertical lines (like indented grooves I can feel) on my cheeks. My dermatologist confirmed this too. Knowing I couldn't easily get to Brea as I live far I didn't reach out to them immediately after the procedure as I wanted to be fair and wait at least 3-6 months, at which point the fat loss and vertical lines became more significant. I sent Alcler photos of my fat loss and deep vertical lines on November 1, 2025. Everyone's experience with Ultherapy will be different, I understand that but when I reached out to the consultant, she at first was nice but then turned condescending toward me and even sat there with a patronizing grin while I explained to her it was not easy for me to go back to their clinic to then possibly be told they can't help me. And to be fair, I was upset so she reacted in this way, but this is an unprofessional reaction nonetheless. You can't reverse the fat loss from Ultherapy! I only called them to inform them that the Ultherapy burned my fat and caused deep vertical lines to form on my cheeks (shown in the photos I submitted). I also requested a refund and they said no, that I needed to come in so they can "see what they can do" but at that point, I didn't want anymore procedures done there. I asked to speak to the owner after this peculiar experience with the consultant and that went even worse. He asked me to come in so they can take more photos and see "what they can do," once again. I didn't want anything else done there based on my terrible experience and I wasn't going to drive an hour and a half to be told they can't help me. So then he hung up on me while I was still talking. He sounded older so it may be a generational thing, but what kind of customer service is that? This review is primarily to share my experience with Ultherapy, everyone is different so results will of course be different, and mine did not turn out well at all. I really regret doing it now, but I trusted them at the time. I strongly believe the settings were set too high and my dermatologist believes the same. And this review is also to share the negative experience I had with the consultant and especially the owner, I've never been treated this way for a service like this. Never. This procedure is not cheap either ($1,800 at the time) so this is only my loss, not theirs. Having said all this, at least the front desk staff was professional.

She also recommended using a melanin inhibitor beforehand because it would make the laser treatments more effective. I asked whether the products were vegan and cruelty-free. She said she'd go ask, but she came back without an answer. Before leaving, I scheduled my first PicoWay treatment for the following week. When I returned for the appointment, I saw a different PA, Sheri, who gave me different information. She told me the brown spots on my leg actually could not be treated with the laser after all, and that I would likely need 6-12 treatments rather than 4-6. She also did not know whether the recommended products were vegan and cruelty-free. Additionally, she explained that I was supposed to use the products for several weeks before beginning laser treatments -- something I had not been told during the original consultation. The first PA had mentioned the products, but never explained that pre-treatment use was required before starting the laser. Sheri contacted the product representative to ask about the vegan status of the products, but the rep was unsure and could not provide any timeline for getting an answer. At that point, I left without receiving treatment. Both PAs were friendly and professional, but I was frustrated by the lack of consistency and communication. I would have appreciated someone following up about whether the products were vegan before I came in expecting to begin treatment. Instead, I wasted time coming to an appointment that ultimately could not proceed. It also concerned me that the providers were not on the same page regarding what could actually be treated or how many sessions would realistically be required. It has now been about a month since that appointment, and nobody ever followed up regarding whether the products were vegan, despite assuring me that they would. I ultimately went to a dermatologist, who explained that the mole and brown spots should not be treated with laser in the first place. She excised the mole for less than the estimated cost of four laser sessions. Based on my experience, I would recommend seeing a dermatologist for concerns like these, since they are medical skin specialists.
