I have not been there yet but I have a great person who does excellent highlights on my hair and he recently started working there.

THE BEST BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS IN BOSTON! It took me years to find someone I trust with my hair after I moved here! This is the second time Priscilla has rocked my world - refreshed my highlights and added some more layers and long bangs. LOVE. Priscilla is incredibly knowledgeable and offers great advice on hair care, product, and healthy maintenance. Since working with her, my hair has transformed! Finally, after a bad cut and color from two different stylists, it's strong and healthy again!! She has the sweetest spirit and great personality. I adore the conversations we have while she works her magic. Forever the only hair stylist I will ever go to in New England! read more

I've been seeing Priscilla for many years and her highlights in my hair are so skillful that everyone thinks I am a natural blonde. I can't imagine ever going to any other colorist. As a person, she is warm, delightful, and a great conversationalist with a loving heart. I have great respect for her as a business woman as well who treats her clients with kindness and always "goes the extra mile" when necessary. I think she could open a school to help train hairdressers to do their best work as well providing a professional and caring atmosphere while working. I have read some of the other 5 star reviews (raves) and I would have to say "ditto"! read more

Priscilla is the most talented hair stylist and colorist I've ever visited. After not coloring my hair at all for 3+ years, I went to Priscilla for a fresh look and I am BEYOND thrilled with the results. I'm a new mom who doesn't have a ton of time to spend on hair up-keep, so it was important to me that whatever I did to my hair would be natural looking and easy to maintain and Priscilla absolutely NAILED it. She did a 'high lift color' and 'baby lights' on my brunette hair which to be honest, I had never heard of before, but that's another reason Priscilla is so great; she is SO knowledgeable when it comes to hair type, texture, how it works with your skin tone and eyes, etc. She added some much needed dimension to my brunette hair and I am so glad I found her!! read more

I now believe in magic again and her name is Priscilla! Had a wonderful person I went to for 10+ years, moved to Boston about 6 years ago and it was one bad hair experience after another one - expensive salons, private stylists, from beacon hill to the burbs....no one could get me back to what I wanted to be - blonde with highlights! People tried to sell me balayage, did fancy things...but it always looked terrible right after or 2 weeks in. These horrors are in the past now that I found Priscilla - she listened carefully, looked at the photos and got exactly what I was going for. There are more than 50 shades of blonde - trust me, but she nailed it! Never again going elsewhere. Her salon is wonderful - bright, clean and in great location. I felt safe going there even during covid. Good luck ya all blondies out there! read more

Priscilla Collins gave me the best dimensional blonde highlights I have ever had.If you're looking for the best and most beautiful blonde hair, she's the one. She is the best corrective colorist. She corrected my "blonde nightmare" back in 2012 and I've been with her ever since. She considers ones skin tone and eye color during her expert consultation. She has been voted Best blonde highlights and corrective colorist in Boston for 6 consecutive years. I drive from NH to Boston knowing that I'm leaving with exceptional blonde hair! --Ashley L. read more

After 20+ YEARS of seeing her, I had to get corrective color for HER post-pandemic "corrective color." NOW my hair looks EXACTLY the way I want it to, and for MUCH less than her extravagant charges!!! read more

Pricilla is amazing. She does my normal haircuts and always does them perfectly, but as of recently she did my hair for my wedding. She did it SO short notice and without having time to do a trial. My hair was perfect and she did exactly what I asked for. I couldn't recommend her more. She is so professional and so so so talented. read more

Priscilla is absolutely amazing! She has transformed my brassy blonde damaged hair into healthy, shiny, and perfect shade of blonde to suit my skin tone. I've been to hair stylists all over Newbury Street and no one has been as consistent or can even come close to the level of expertise that Priscilla has. I also had awful layers that I had trouble growing out and over the past three haircuts she has transformed the shape of my hair into something more manageable and much easier to blow dry on my own. I've never gotten complements on my hair until I started seeing Priscilla either. It's great when I am asked where I get my highlights done. I highly recommend The Modern Priscilla for highlights, corrective color, and styling! read more

Priscilla is the absolute queen of hair (and blondes)! Beautiful color, cut, and style- she really thinks about every little detail about your hair, skin tone, what will compliment your face. It's so comforting to sit in a stylists chair and TRUST that your hair will consistently turn out beautiful every time. Any blonde knows how exhausting it can be to find the right color and Priscilla made my hair my dream color my very first appointment. She is meticulous and a master at her craft and really listens to her clients. So thankful I found Priscilla after YEARS of trying every stylist on Newbury. read more

Priscilla was the most amazing wedding hairstylist and became a true friend! I absolutely recommend her for your wedding. She was very friendly, very flexible and very professional. I got to know Priscilla over a series of phone calls and hair trials. Priscilla is very special, because she doesn't only think about your hair, she thinks about how to make your wedding day preparations as relaxed and stress-free as possible...not to mention fun! Priscilla did a beautiful high bun, where she added hair extensions to give my hair more volume. It stayed in all night, and worked perfectly with my veil and dress. She also did blow outs and up dos for my bridesmaids, my Maid of Honor, my Mom, my future Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-laws. She was super fast and efficient. She even came back and helped me put my veil on. That's what I call commitment! Book Priscilla today! read more

I am so excited to write this review, as I can't say better things about Priscilla Collins! I met Priscilla years ago when my mother told me it was time to get a true professional to highlight and cut my hair. I had many terrible experiences with others in the past and Priscilla promised to turn it all around....and boy she didn't disappoint! Since the color correction on my first visit, Priscilla transformed my multicolor highlights to subtle perfection that looks as natural as my hair used to as a kid. She's truly talented. I have sent over half a dozen friends to see Priscilla and all of them have made her their exclusive stylist as well. Of course it should come as no surprise that she also did my hair, as well as hair for my seven bridesmaids AND my mom, on my wedding day. It was no less than eight hours of standing, rolling, styling and smiling and she made it look easy. Everyone was in love with what she did for them and everyone's style kept throughout the night. I will never forget her kind, calming presence during the whole wedding day and am forever grateful for how beautiful she made me, and all of us, look. I mean it from the bottom of my heart that Priscilla Collins is talented, thoughtful and kind. I've never left a visit with her and been disappointed. Never once has my hair been cut too short or have I felt anything less than fabulous. Please do yourself a favor and book Priscilla for your wedding and for your forever stylist. read more

I moved to Boston 6 years ago, and one of my first things I set out to do was find a stylist. I didn't have to search long and when I found Priscilla's site, I knew she was the one. And boy was I right! She has been cutting and coloring my hair for the entire 6 years -- not one other person has touched my hair since we met in August of 2012. I have never and will never go anywhere else -- I trust Priscilla completely with my hair. She has consistently proven herself to be of immense talent, professionalism, creativity, and kindness too! Each time I get my color done or my hair cut, it's my favorite. Her knowledge when it comes to corrective color or processing cannot be overstated. My hair has red undertones, and she always takes my hair platinum without issue. The products she uses are top of the line, and she manages to keep her prices for services reasonable. I would gladly pay triple for what she accomplishes with my hair. Besides being a talented stylist, Priscilla provides a welcoming environment to visit, and treats each customer with respect and kindness. She listens to the needs of each person and is able to create looks that never fail to impress. It is a rare day that I don't receive multiple compliments or inquiries as to who does my hair. She works tirelessly to ensure her customers are happy, and to that she's able to find a time that works for them to be seen in the salon. I can honestly say she will be my last stylist, and if I ever move out of the Boston area, I will be making frequent trips back just so she can do my hair. I will never find another person or stylist like her. Making an appointment with her that day in August was the best thing that ever happened to my hair!!! And I can't possibly give a higher recommendation for all your coloring and styling needs -- Priscilla is it! Go see her, and you'll discover all this for yourself, and will never go anywhere else again. read more

Priscilla Collins is the best corrective colorist. She took my brassy gold highlights and transformed them into gorgeous bright blonde highlights. She is polite, professional and really easy to talk to. I receive so many compliments on my haircut and color. I'm hooked and have been a fan for more than five years. read more

PRISCILLA IS AMAZING! I went to Priscilla after having a bad experience at a pricey Newbury Street Salon. I needed a color correction and cut that would tame my mane. I have a LOT of frizzy hair that is hard to control. I told Priscilla generally what I wanted (to be blonde, but less "bleached" looking, and that I needed a cut that would be fun yet professional). I also asked her for her input. She told me we could make the highlights brighter and warmer, and contrast it with darker highlights. She also told me that the old salon had cut my ends far too bluntly and that she would soften them, especially the edges around my face. Needless to say, my high expectations were fulfilled! I LOVE my color, and oh, the cut! It cuts down on blowdrying time in the morning and now my hair actually has movement. Priscilla was so nice and welcoming and lovely to chat wtih---not stuffy at all. I couldn't be happier and STRONGLY recommend that anyone in Boston need of a little boost give Priscilla a call! I only wish that I had met her when I got married!!! Brides, this is your gal! read more

Where do I start?? This woman is a freakin' rockstar. After a LONG and lengthily search for my wedding hairstylist I finally found Priscilla on one sunny day in Boston. I was reading about her on a wedding blog, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and I had to see her. I walked in showed her my vision and within minutes she knew exactly what I wanted and how she was going to do it. AND, I am a brunette and wanted soft caramel highlights for my wedding day. My long island salon couldn't get it right and I had horrible brassy blonde highlights that seemed to get worse and worse as every day went by. A week later, I visited Priscilla to correct my color. She put warm caramel panels in my hair and honestly I walked out and never.looked.better. My husband picked me up from the train station and was immediately like "WOW, you look beautiful." (he never says anything). In summary, I will be going to Priscilla for my haircuts and color for LIFE. Don't think twice... Priscilla is your woman for corrective color, haircuts, and wedding hair!! read more

Priscilla Collins is amazing! She is an amazing stylist and an amazing person. She has been handling my out of control hair for several years now and I honestly don't know how I survived before going to her. There is nothing she has not mastered...weddings, cuts, color, treatments, blowouts, and honest advice! She has a unique approach to her craft and truly takes into heart and consideration everyone's individual needs and situations. I have to mention she is the most efficient stylist I have ever encountered.... The first time I went to her for a cut and blow dry, I was in and out in less then an hour!!!! Prior to her, I would be in the chair for HOURS !!! read more
