This place is awesome. I've gone there multiple times and while there has been some variety in the quality they have consistently been at least 8/10 with very reasonable prices. It can feel a bit chaotic inside and definitely isn't the place for a nice "spa experience," however I'm not looking for that so it's great for me. I go in and get my nails done once a month and they last a month. I like to just get it taken care of professionally and quickly so it's the perfect place for me. read more

Don't get a pedicure here. They never soaked my feet (yes, you read that right. My feet NEVER touched water....DURING A PEDICURE.) They never massaged them, and even said it's an ADDITIONAL $10 to get one (they didn't even do the bare minimum foot rub that literally everywhere else does during a pedicure). He simply JUST PAINTED MY TOES, and they charged me $35. If he wasn't going to soak, massage, or actual file down my nails, I could have just done it myself at home instead of going here. Mary, the owner, wouldn't listen at all and kept saying it's because I got gel polish. No, your worker quite literally JUST PAINTED MY TOES. What a scam. I used to get powder dip on my nails here too. They only do 1 base coat and 2 color coats so it's extremely thin. My nails break 8 days from getting powder gel done. Every set I've gotten from here (5) have broken or separated from my nail within 2 weeks, and for that to happen to powder gel is NOT NORMAL. The materials they use are not good quality, and they pump people in and out of there so fast that nothing is cleaned in between. The nail clippers are not sanitized, nothing is wiped down. Breeding ground for germs. There's constant yelling in there because they try to take too many people at once. Getting your nails done should be relaxing, and it's not here. Skip it and don't bother. Unless you want an infection and to lose your nails, then avoid this place! I went for a manicure, soon after my middle finger started hurting (where the skin had been picked too close towards the nail). A few days later my whole nail went green. I have a friend who is a nail technician who said that this happens when nail salons don't sterilise equipment properly. I called the salon to complain and sent photos. I said that am going to lose the whole nail. The owner of the salon told me very unhelpfully 'you won't lose it, it will grow back' (!) and he tried to say that my nail was already like that (Which is rubbish because if it was like that then they wouldn't have done my nails in the first place). A doctor sent me to Urgent Care centre to have the nail removed under local anaesthetic. I wanted to treat myself, and I've ended up causing myself more grief. Awful experience. Very bad experience at Princess Nails in Wantagh on Merrick Road. I came in at the end of the day for a gel polish change on my toes. All they did was take off the old gel polish, file, and put new get polish on my toes. My feet were not ever in water, no cream, did not cut toenails, etc. and Mary still wanted to charge me the same $35 as it would have been if I got the full gel pedicure (which I did not). The whole gel polish change was 15 min. After saying to Mary that that isn't fair, she started screaming at me saying how "bad I was" etc. We ended up agreeing on $30. Bad attitude, fake people, dirty enviornment. I recommend Jin Family Nails in Bellmore. It is down the block from princess and the people are much nicer and do a way better job. I've been there twice and I needed to get my nails done so I decided to stop by. They did get me in right away however when the owner started doing my nails ( I chose to do SNS Dip Powder ) he did two coats. I expressed to him that I needed 3 because my nails are weak and he brushed it off and told me I didn't need it. After my nails were done they still felt weak , I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt...that was yesterday and 3 of my nails already broke. I am usually happy with this place. They take walk in, prices are fair, nails last 2-3 weeks as usual and the people are generally nice however I had a few experiences that I wanted to share. First off I like that I don't need an appointment and they do the job fast. Some places it takes 1 hour for fills ins here it's usually 35 minutes which I like. I brought my teen to get nails done and she said Coco was very tough and mean with her and didn't listen to her choice of colors. I wasn't sitting right there and didn't see it all so I gave benefit of the doubt. My teen won't be back. The other day I went to the other side and had Cici and she used so much acrylic on my fill ins and the nails ended up chunky and thick. She had to file underneath with electric file while hurt and burned my skin and ended up cutting my fingers in a few places. Still heeling. The acrilyc is still stuck to my skin in some parts and overall I am not happy. I expected better and will probably not return although I have been coming here on and off for years. read more

They spent 2 1/2 hours fixing and repainting my gel pedicure ( the First Lady that did my toes painted on my skin and then tried to hide it ) then When confronted with there services the owner said he'll give me half off on my spa pedicure but refused to do my gel manicure . I expressed how unhappy I was with there services before you know it they all where crowded around me yelling , pointing and screaming aggressively at me . Get the pink and white fill. Pink fill $20, pink & white $35. Usually no more than 45 mins which is great. Usually do the raspberry & pomegranate pedi. It includes 20 minute massage. Which you can do on your legs/feet or split and do 10 back & 10 legs/feet. Callus remover $5 extra but they really scrub. 45 min pedi total I'd say. Good place but usually crowded so they move quick. Don't come during peak hours if looking for quiet and relaxing. Great service though and remember your face for coming back. read more

I never write reviews on yelp, however, I feel the need to write one about this place. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!! TERRIBLE!!! So unorganized & ridiculous. I walked in with my mom for a fill in & her a pedicure, my mother got seated immediately & they made me wait. I was fine with waiting, it isn't a big deal. BUT, they had 4 empty seats, I was the ONLY person waiting to get my nails done. As people were walking in, they were being seated & I was waiting. I waited 30 minutes before telling my mom I was still waiting & walking out. Absolutely ridiculous to make a person wait for absolutely no reason, especially when you have nail techs standing around with their thumbs up their ass doing nothing. People should be sat in order in which they are waiting, not whoever the fuck you feel like sitting. Never coming back. Clearly they do this often by the reaction of my friend. read more

My sister and I went to to princess to get gel mani pedis. Our pedicures were great but our manicure were not what we asked for. My natural nail underneath the acrylic was the longest it's ever been and I specifically asked for "Mary", the lady doing my nails to keep my natural nail long so I could get the acrylic removed next set. She filed all my nails down to stubs just to blend it into the acrylic. It was not what I wanted and I was very annoyed. For my sister, she asked for a natural French tip. The worker doing her nails filed the nails down very short and completely ignored the shape and details my sister asked. Princess is my usual nail salon but this experience was very disappointing and a not worth $80 per person. read more

I've becoming here since I was a child and I will not coming back again after the owner yelled at me. I came in with a picture of nails that I wanted and the person doing my nails couldn't do the picture, so in result needed to do an extra powder dip 3 times instead of 2. She wanted to charge me extra for the 3rd dip. I told her I shouldn't have to pay for the extra dip because the only reason I got it was because the color didn't come out anything like I wanted so I had to change the color. So instead of being professional, she yelled at me and told me an extra dip is more no exceptions. My overall experience while I was at the salon wasn't too bad all though I did feel quite rushed to pick a color and it doesn't help that I'm the most indecisive person. I usually get a gel manicure but a friend recommended me to go here for their powder so I got a powder gel Manicure, I'm not sure who did them but it was one of the men that worked there. The manicure came out okay but he barley touched my cuticles and didn't cover my whole nail bed so It almost looked like they were already a week grown out. 2 days later two of my nails ended up chipping and I was pretty upset having spent $30 on the manicure thinking they would've lasted longer. I have been coming to this nail salon the past four years. I used to get powder gel for a long time, which was great and lasted a long time. At least 2-3 weeks for me (my nails grow fast though). It's a popular salon so downside is sometimes you have to wait bc it is busy and sometimes more then one person will work on your nails BUT the way to avoid this is to make an appointment, and with a specific person. Someone else may clean your nails and get them ready to be filled in but the person you make the appointment with will do the gel work and finish them. I am THE PICKIEST person ever and have a very high standard for my nails, and they do BY FAR THE BEST BEST UV gel sets. Ella does my nails and she is THE BEST every single time. They are symmetrical, never thick or bumpy, basically perfect. Susan and Lucy are also magnificent! I will cry the day Ella, or Susan and lucy aren't there anymore, I will never trust anyone else! Right now my go to is a UV gel set with just the neutral pink sculpting gel as the color. No gel polish, with a slight coffin shape. They are so natural and gorgeous! Staff is so nice and the owner Mary is a sweetheart as well! Always asks me how my babies are doing :) highly recommend! read more

I made an appointment for a Friday morning. I was helped within 10min of my appt time which was great. I wanted a French manicure but with the SNS powder gel. Which was fine no problem. But just a warning if you do get a powder gel make sure you ask them to do at least three or even four coats of the powder gel. Because they only did two coats and they were very thin when it was all done after all the filing. And less than a week after I got them done the nail cracked. I had to fix it myself and then the next day another nail cracked, and then the following day another nail cracked. Up to the point where my thumb nail cracked and it started to bleed. I feel like I just wasted 35/40 dollars on a manicure that lasted barely a week. So just be mindful of that and ask them to do a couple more coats so you know that your nails won't end up like mine. She demands that you tip the workers, tips are earn and customer give what they want. She continues to raise the prices for no reason. Would not recommend princess nails. I had an 11:30 appointment and waited for over an hour. I finally got in a chair at 12:45. I went for a powder gel manicure & it was extremely rushed. She finished my nails in 20 minutes, didn't even use the drill to buff them. They're kinda bumpy, everything was poorly applied. I was over all unhappy, I didn't realize how bad it was until I got in my car. I went back in to ask if they'd clean up around the nails and they j told me to go wash my hands, which did absolutely nothing. They were not helpful & did not fix them. Not one to leave reviews but I used to come here for YEARS. This place has really gone downhill and each experience is worse than the last. Went in to get powder gel on my nails and less than a week later I'm going to a different salon to fix the damage. Never have I ever gone to a nail salon only to have 5 of my nails break within 5 days. One of them broke within an HOUR, I went back the next day and they were annoyed I had asked to get it fixed, they fixed it & charged me for it and did an even worse job. Didn't even bother filing down the broken nail. Later that day a second nail broke, then a third, fourth & fifth. Overall, the nails were uneven and the polish was never buffed so it's smudged looking. Will not be returning here, save your time and money and just go elsewhere. read more

This recently became my go to nail salon- its well priced ($18 for mani pedi, $5 for eyebrow wax) and the staff is all super friendly. They don't all talk to each other and make me feel awkward and instead focus on making me feel comfortable and happy.
