Completely turned off from this establishment. For a mani and pedi at 15.99 was really the only reason I became a regular ,but after the last two visits I can truley say they seem a bit racist. Now at other establishments I have always paid for services after everything had been completed, so I was shocked when the nail technician stoped in the middle of painting my nails and ask "ok you pay now" I paid but quickly realized that every other customer paid after there services were finished . I brushed it off and decided to give this place another shot but the same thing happened, a customer even chimed in and asked why do you have to pay first. The experience was extremely uncomfortable. Very interesting folks that run this establishment. I walked in with no appointment, I thought nothing of it because there were literally 2 people in the salon. The technician began by soaking of my gel manicure off, rather than continuing with me she bagan a manicure & pedicure with someone else who walked in several more mins after I did. OK fine, I had no choice but to wait. She comes back after 45 mins to tell me my eyebrows look terrible and next time she should do them. I point blank to her she's not touching my eyebrows. I asked for a second application of quick dry, only for her to tell me no. Lady I'm paying you wtf. Needless to say I won't be back to this unkept place of business. Lol so after 10 mins my nails chipped. I guess it wasn't quick dry after all?! Don't go there!!!!! read more

The work they do is excellent and they ALWAYS are polite and remember your name. Sonny the owner has an uncanny memory. Very personable. I am a man and come in for a mani-pedi every two weeks. They have the lowest rate in teh area, but the quality is fantastic.My wife also goes, in fact, she had visited once about a year and a half ago, surprisingly, the owner Sonny had remembered her! I am a hospitality professional and i can tell you nothing makes people feel better than to hear their own name. They due good work and are not pretentious. read more

Came on a Sunday and there were no customers except me. I picked the color polish for my pedicure and the woman did a fair job. I was not thrilled with the interior of the shop. It needs a total remodeling job but the place was clean enough. The woman spoke on he phone to a friend speaking Korean the entire time I was there. I was fine with that although I know some people would have been annoyed. I liked it because that eliminated the need for me to talk. Anyway I was done in 15 minutes and the total cost for the pedicure was $10. That's a bargain. Not the prettiest place but it worked for me. read more

I love going to Merrick Nails because I'm treated like a "regular". They know my name; they know what I like, and they get the job done quickly. Plus, being a male, they make me feel very comfortable getting a pedicure or manicure among mostly women clients. In fact, I consider them to be part of my extended family. I'm giving 4 stars because they provide an excellent quality of service, but sometimes the wait is a bit long! There are never many people working here, so even with only 3-4 clients in the salon you can be there for a couple hours. That being said, Sunny is amazing at what she does and is super meticulous. My nails always come out PERFECT -- and her manicures (& pedicures) last a long time! It's also one of the cheapest mani/pedis you can get around here. I get my eyebrows done sometimes too, and I have to admit it always comes out better than when I pay $16 at European Wax Center. Sunny is very personable and will have you laughing hysterically. Horrible experience! First off, I walked in and no one acknowledged me. They offer mani/pedi for 13$ but forget to mention they all have nasty attitudes being that their prices are so cheap. My mother tried to charge her phone and they said for 13$ it's too cheap to use their electricity. I watched two customers walk in and not get acknowledged as well. Being a woman, getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing laid back experience, but unfortunately this one was everything but. It's upsetting because my mother and I were looking forward to enjoying our day off and finally trying out this nail salon we've heard a lot about. I do not recommend coming here. It's worth paying the other $7 somewhere else and actually getting a good quality experience. read more

i went back to this salon because it is close to my home and also very inexpensive. i had a shellac manicure that i needed to be removed. steve used a dremel like electric file to remove the shellac. since i had never seen that done before, i questioned the owner as to this technique. she said not to worry, "we are professionals". well that was about 2 months ago and my nails are still damaged. layers of nail were removed and the tips are crumbling off. prior to this i had very strong nails and many shellac manicures. i read online afterwards that if a salon removes shellac this way, you should run , not walk away. i am still mad at myself for listening to sunny, the owner , not to worry. maybe a regular mani pedi but my trust of this salon is totally gone. never again! read more
