In December,…read morePacfe Nails & Spa was offering free gifts with every visit in December - limited-edition calendars, mini Christmas ornament and hand cream. I've been to the Huntington Station location and this was my first time at the Hicksville location. This location is in Aero Plaza Shopping Center. There are plenty of parking spots even though there are other businesses in the plaza. I called ahead and made an appointment for a spa pedicure and a gel manicure. The staff welcomed me in and introduced me to the technician. I got the green tea spa pedicure and it was well worth it. My skin felt very soft. The gel manicure came out beautifully. The technician really took his time and paid attention to my pedicure and manicure. Pacfe Nails & Spa is different from other salons because they offer drinks and their wonderful service. There are many colors to choose from and the salon is very clean and organized.

The salon is spacious clean and beautiful . The owner (Tianna) and all of the other technicians there have always delivered on their services. I've never in 40 plus years of getting my nails done put any designs or anything on my nails but now thanks to Lucent Nails and all their talent , every 2 weeks I have new art on my nails. Another huge plus was that from my first appointment there up until current , THEY HONOR YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME, (which is great and unheard of)! As a matter of fact in the very few times they were running behind, I ALWAYS RECEIVED A COURTESY CALL TO LET ME KNOW! I am head over heels (or should I say Nails over Toes) with Lucent Nails! When I arrived, she told me that my appointment was scheduled for the next day at 1:30. Even though there was a mix up, she was still able to accommodate my appointment which I appreciated. I got a new acrylic set with french tips. The tips came out perfectly even. The prices were standard, but the service was great. They have a cash discount for over $50 where you get $2 off as well. A few days after our visit, I developed a rash that initially appeared on my right hand. Additional rashes later developed around both ankles and on the top of my left foot. Because the affected areas corresponded with areas involved in my nail services, I was very concerned and felt it was important to bring the situation to the salon's attention. My husband and I returned to the salon to inform them about what had happened. Unfortunately, instead of responding to our concerns with professionalism, compassion, or even an apology for the experience, we felt that the staff became confrontational. They demanded that we provide proof that we had actually received services there. We provided the requested proof. Regardless of what ultimately caused the rash, I expected the salon to take a customer's health and sanitation concerns seriously and respond professionally. The way our concerns were handled was extremely disappointing and made an already upsetting situation worse. Based on this experience, we will not return to this salon. I also intend to report my concerns to the appropriate health/licensing authorities so they can determine whether any sanitation or infection-control issues need to be investigated. Made an appointment again but ended up not getting started on for over 45 minutes. When I walked in I was a bit grossed out by the sewage smell that never went away. I asked the head lady in charge if they had the color I showed her on my phone...she said yes. I finally get Lisa who asks why I'm getting powder and tells me UV gels better and kept asking why I don't get it instead...I said I'll look into it if it's healthy or not...she persisted...I declined repeatedly..she started laughing and talking to the technician next to her-all I could make out was uv and powder in what sounded like a complaining, condescending tone. (The first time the leading lady tried to convince me to get gel as well but in a much nicer way-so it appears they don't like doing powder and removing it) Once she's done removing my last manicure she pulls out uv gloves and tries to put them on my hands...I asked her if she was going to do UV gel anyway even though I said no....she says yes, I tell her no, she starts complaining again in her language to the technicians near her. I had to ask if she knew how to do powder as I was beginning to get worried. After 2 hours the end result was fine, but in a color other than what I asked for and I'll probably have to go get them redone. So Be warned if you do go here...make sure you get gel! (And bring a translator) *also know they do not give complimentary massages while your nails dry as most other salons in the area do, instead they have a man who asks you if you want a massage, starts and then tells you the fee. Thankfully I picked up on this from seeing him do this to others before he got to me.
