UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW: I had been seeing Leah for a long time, but we'd lost touch when Covid occurred. When I tried to contact her after things had reopened, I never heard back and did not know whether the shop was still open. We were finally able to connect and I realized that I had accidentally blocked her....totally my fault. When we were able to correct this, we were able to keep in touch and I finally got to see her last week. As usual, her skill exceeded all expectations and I left there happy to have been able to re-connect with her. This tiny, immaculate shop is a gem and Leah is the best esthetician I've ever visited. I just had a facial with Leah yesterday, and it was the most relaxing 70 minutes of my life. She really massages every part of your face and then shoulders and upper back. I swear, there may have been knots in my eye sockets, but she got them. She really knows how to move around the face for maximum blood circulation and lymph drainage in the face. It was very quiet and in a dark room with soothing music playing. Everything was very safe for COVID, she wore multiple pairs of gloves and a mask. I live in Queens and drove out for the day because my mother recommended her, and I definitely think I'll be back to try the deep pore one next time. I'm usually nervous about facials since I have sensitive skin and break out easily with skincare products, but as of this morning my face seems absolutely fine, so she's using nice products as well. read more

I had a Groupon that expired, but I spoke to Leah about using the Groupon and paying the difference and it was super easy. Making an appointment was as easy as picking up the phone - while it's appointment only (no walk ins) I was able to get an appointment the next day! I have been a long-time client of Leah's and have had nothing but good to say bout her skill and her salon (including a Yelp review) and have traveled from the Cold Spring Harbor area for her services. However, I have tried on numerous occasions, to contact her for an appointment and received no response. I'm always looking for a spa for facials but have had no luck until now for a good facial. This place is definitely where you get what you pay for and more. It was a last minute call and she squeezed me in although it was almost closing time. It's during covid so the place is up to par with a glass around the counter and hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in. She did not rush the facial whatsoever and it was absolutely, the most relaxing 50 minutes. Her cleaning and massage was perfect. Not too hard not too soft. She massage every part of your face in different touches and rotations. And then does a neck and back massage while you have the hydrating mask on. It was perfect!!! The place decor is lovely and very clean as well. I highly recommend this place!!! Her name is Leah. She's awesome. And very positive and she communicates and will ask and answer any questions you have. Had an amazing session with Leah today! I was obsessed with how healthy my skin looked and better yet, felt like I was glowing! One of the best facials I have ever had. Her technique is top notch. She does the most thorough facial and massage of the face, neck and shoulders. She explains the different steps in her process which is helpful. My facial included extractions. She didn't just rush through, she was methodical to ensure my skin was completely devoid of any imperfections. I also had milia which she said a dermatologist would need to address. She didn't overstep her expertise and was honest. She massaged every centimeter of my face including around the eye and I am sure that this all helps with drainage to reduce puffiness. She did LED treatment as well both red and blue for acne and aging. At the end there was no pressure to try any products and purchase any future sessions. She was honest and told me what I should for daily cleansing. Also she provided her recommendation on how often I should come back. I will be back and I highly recommend Leah!! read more

I've seen Leah about 5 times since my first visit last year and I swear each facial she gives is better than the last! My skin has never looked so good. The reason I am writing this update though is because this is the first time I have returned to the spa post-Covid and I have to commend Leah on the numerous steps she has taken to make what could be a fraught situation extremely safe. Leah went above and beyond with safety measures, all of which made the situation much safer and none of which compromised the experience in any way. First of all, Leah only allows one client in the spa at any time so I didn't have to worry about seeing strangers in the waiting room or elsewhere. Second, she sterilized the whole spa in between appointments. Third, and most importantly, once inside the facial room, she wore an N95, latex gloves and a face shield, and she used a glass box shield with arm holes over my face (almost like the top of a neonatal incubator but less claustrophobic) so that she could still perform the facial but my face would be protected. I really felt very safe and wouldn't hesitate to return again soon (which says a lot, since I still am too nervous to get a haircut or manicure...). Once again, 10/10. read more
