That being said, the negatives that I have are purely coming from a sanitation perspective, as I am also a New York State licensed waxer. Never once have I seen a single technician wear a pair of gloves. That is New York State law. I also can say with confidence that every single time the technician picks up Wax on a stick, she blows on it with her mouth, which is also against New York State law. No one has ever put pressure on the freshly waxed skin, which is a technique that I was personally taught in school, but make sure that I practice while working to ensure the least amount of pain for my clients. Lastly, this is more of a personal issue, but I feel no matter what time of day I come into the salon, whoever works on me has just eaten a meal and I have to hold my breath because of the odor being exhaled directly into my face. Overall, I think that the salon is conveniently located, and appears to be beautiful- the staff is very kind, but sanitation practices are not consistent at all.

She's cute, sassy, and real. Oh my gawd, no fake valley girl talk here. Treatment room is clean, gloves are always worn. All interactions were safe and sanitary, even during COVID. I go here for lash lifts. Despite my stubborn, unyielding thick lashes she'll make sure they're done right. Last time I was there she did. not. give. up. Those babies are curled. My only issue is sometimes the lifts don't last super long. Some folks get a full 5 weeks, I'm lucky if my lashes look good for 3-4. I don't know the brand perm solution but, it doesn't usually burn or bother me so I'll deal with it. This is relevant because I do have sensitive eyes and had some crappy experiences at a different spot. Currently lifts are $80, which is affordable considering bigger salons charge much more denaro. Lastly, her "coworker" Jordan is the best. ESPECIALLY when he asks for tummy rubs. Precious. Parking is cake in the train station lot.

I stopped coming to this salon because my experience depends entirely on whether the manager is…read morethere. When the manager is present, the salon staff follow my requests without any issues, and I feel like my concerns are respected. However, when he isn't there--especially later in the day--the experience is completely different. The technicians seem to rush through the manicure, become argumentative when I ask for something specific, and often ignore my requests. One of my biggest concerns is the excessive use of the electric drill and UV lamp. I know what works best for my nails, and I have repeatedly explained that I do not want my natural nail bed damaged. Unfortunately, my preferences are often dismissed, and I feel pressured into a service I didn't ask for. It's frustrating because the exact same requests are honored when the manager is supervising, which tells me the staff are capable of following customer instructions. Customers deserve the same level of respect and care regardless of who is on duty. Consistency and listening to your clients should be a priority.
