Excellent! Clean, reasonable, professional. I would definitely go back. A salon/ spathat caters to men.

It's funny how they changed the name from Iziks to Iziks and Steve's... I guess to hide some of the bad reviews huh? Haha! Went in for a haircut twice; first time was a nice guy meanwhile the rest of the staff was staring me out because I apparently didn't blend in to their liking. Second time I went the guy said "WERE EATING!" And the rest of them again kept staring me out. Came back 20 minutes later and the main guy flat out cut my hair and had a nasty attitude after I asked for a high skin fade. Kept speaking in his language saying "high skin fade" in between sentences while cutting my hair; this prompted his staff to laugh at me the entire time. 'I would recommend this place if you're looking for a faddish haircut and ready to dive into some club in the city as a 20 something. Apparently that's the clientele this place loves considering the techno music on full blast. The picture of all five of you posing is a bit like the clientele you admire: in vain! Haha thank god I moved and don't ever have to succumb myself to this place. Update he's trying to defend himself by saying this review is inaccurate, but I have a very good memory. Sorry pal!

Additionally their Yelp page, and their google page show that they take credit Cards. When you go in, they charge you $3.50 to use their ATM. That is not accepting credit cards. Plus there was no one in there. Should have been telling.

I had a wedding the next day so I really needed to touch up my roots. I walk in and speak to a man, tell him my needs (please cover up my roots and give me a soft blonde so everything can blend in. Absolute NO WHITE OR YELLOW color, please). He tells me he has to bleach my hair and the put a toner, blah, blah. The manager comes over tells me the same thing and tells me $300 and up. I'm a shocked ( I paid $200 in Queens for full head highlights -2 times- toner, trim, blood dry and style) and tell her my experience at my last stylist. She brings up er an Asian woman (which I would not mention her name) to talk to me. This woman tells me the American thing, bla blah. I'm a little concerned because I have to undergo bleach again which means damage, but as soon as this hairstylist says "you have to trust when you go to a new stylist..." So with those words I gave in. She gave it a final price of $280. I thought to myself : " if they do what they need to do ; bleach, color/tone, trim, blow dry and style then It's work it" It was 7 something when I walked in. Sat in the chair 2+ hours later, She sits me I. The chair and I have white hair!!!! I will post the pictures so people can see I cannot possibly make this stuff up! I nicely tell her "this is really light..." She replies "it's fine, once I blow dry it, it will look nicer" In my head I know that's not gonna be the case, I absolutely hate it! I start to tear up and shake my head. (NOT TO MENTION EVERYONE IN THE SALON LEFT ALREADY, THE MANAGER CHARGED ME ALREADY, AND IT IS 10 SOMETHING PM). The stylist realizes that she has made a mistake, there has been a language barrier or something (because she clearly wen off of the manager'd pictures of. The computer rather the one I was showing her to pick my "shade"). She tells me to go back on Sunday or whenever, it is Friday night, I have a wedding Saturday night and there is no way I will walk around with this white/ yellow hair....she brings a big binder looking thin and picks a color she can "cover" up the mess she made and gives me this strange gray/green dull color. It was late so I was more satisfied with that color than the mess I had on my hair before, so I went with it. I thanked her, her a tip and she once again told me if I needed anything/ was not happy to call her (I had her personal cell). I walked out at 11:30 pm still upset. The next say everyone at work asked me what did I do with my hair. I was very upset, knew she totally got my hair wrong and I messaged her telling her I was still now happy and needed to "fix" this hair. Send her pictures and such and tell her it is very you "dull" I can't set anything up with her so I make an appointment with the manager at the salon. Made it for Friday, but a work interview was set up shortly after for that day, so I quickly rescheduled the appointment for Thursday evening (7pm to be exact) so that I can look presentable and be comfortable for this interview. I get out of work and rush for this so called appointment. Walk in the salon and the hairstylist tells me it is for "tomorrow" I explain various times bit she seems to not want to take care of me (hence the salon is completely empty). She also me "so what color do you want now" and in my head I'm like "what do you mean what f** hair color I want know?" I didn't ask for this horrible color!! I just wanted to to be happy with my color! She thens dies my hair a dark brown color and while seating at the shapio/conditioner sea, another client happens to walk in and wants to go "blonder" to my luck! She forgets about me, another girl washes and shampoos my hair (I complaint to the manager about what happened a few days before, show her pictures, she stands still and not says a word!!!)...I get seated next to the stylist while she works on her new to client. Somehow this woman No longer wants to blow dry my hair and just want "air dry". The Manger tries to brush my hair with this brush that it's just breaking my hair apart!!! And air dries with the blow dryer....I told the blow dryer away from her hands as niche ad possible, take my own brush out of my bag, and blow dry with my fingers. I have a moment that I just want to flip put, curse them all out, ask for a refund and just go ballistic on everyone, but I come to my senses and decide to just walk out. I had wet hair when I walk out! And the hairstylist has the nerve to say "bye"?!? I have brown hair now, 6 month of bleach, damage, money and time have gotten to waste because this woman has no idea what the hell she is doing. I have cried for days because honestly Iam still unhappy and regret going to this place all together.i do not recommend this place whatsoever. STAY AWAY

Must be nice. It…read moremust be nice to have so many customers, that you can literally turn your back on paying customers. There was one client in the barber chair in the midst of a haircut. The person ostensibly cutting their hair was on their cell phone. When I entered, he asked if I had an appointment. I asked, seeing that there was no one else in the establishment, if that were really necessary. He responded yes, and then TURNED HIS BACK ON ME! Now, I'm aware that some places want to keep up a certain level of decorum, or pretension, and might want to insist on appointments, regardless of foot traffic. But where I'm from, turning your back on, someone is considered a slap in the face, and / or grounds for receiving one. Perhaps he didn't like my shirt. Perhaps it's a little too hot for everyone. Perhaps my skin tone didn't live up to his standards. Whatever the reason, rudeness and disrespect are no way to run a business.

To preface this review, it is important to note that I had been a customer many times prior and was always satisfied with my haircuts. Although, I would routinely make online reservations whenever possible to secure my appointment, I would, more often than not, attempt to walk-in when I was in the area and would have moderate success at being seen, that is if there were no conflicting appointments. It was the case, that numerous times I simply couldn't be seen for lack of making an appointment, which is completely understandable. On my way back from work on this Tuesday I happen to be close to the barbershop and as I was passing on Jericho Turnpike, I quickly looked online to see if appointments were taken for the given time slot, around noon time. There were none. Upon entering I informed Rafael that I didn't have an appointment but saw that he ample availability online, inquiring whether I would be able to be seen. I didn't expect what followed afterwards: He signaled for me to take the chair (I sat) and mentioned that my failure to make an appointment was "disrespectful" and posed the question, "why should I take your business? Why should I see you right now." Taken somewhat aback by his demeanor and manner in which he spoke to me--I assumed he was playing around, and I half-jokingly replied that I was a customer and this was a business, one that had taken me as a walk-in more than handful of times--he ripped into me, replying "You think I need your 30$? It means absolutely f**king nothing to me." It didn't stop there; he continued to mouth off reminding me that was his business and he had been working hard too long to tolerate disrespectful behavior, that "he owed me nothing" and I shouldn't make assumptions. Mind you, I had been nothing but courteous up till then but my tolerance was waning. I said I meant no type of disrespect and tried (keyword: tried) to explain that I simply came by, given my proximity, also that there wasn't a notice or sign disallowing walk-ins. He didn't take kindly to the back and forth and cut me off from uttering anything further. He repeatedly cut off my sentences, asking what type of haircut I wanted. Given the unwarranted treatment and insults, I thought it was better that he not cut my hair (would you want someone to begrudgingly cut your hair?) and I took off my barber cape. This enraged him and he told me to "get the f**k out" so I headed towards the exit- we exchanged a few words before I left--ultimately him stating that I was wasting his time. I don't write many reviews but I felt compelled to share this experience so people have an idea of the type of person who runs the establishment. Never again.
