For many this was there first time and the Spanish courtyard/villa atmosphere added to the appeal. The house fine is affordable and good for a group our size. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Yup, I had another steak on stone dinner. although their paella is a hit as well. We jumped on the dessert tray and had a good time. The Brac a Nata was a very pleasant surprise. The cream had not soaked the pastry so there was a a lot of contrast to the bite. Great place to have a Spanish meal. Such a welcoming place.

The lamb leg was tender and juicy. The beef cheek was super tender and the potatoes were perfect partner for this dish. The seabass had nice sear marks with lots of roasted vegetables. The seafood croquettes were nothing special and they were very small. We enjoyed a nice bottle of red Ramon Bilbao. The server was polite and kind. The overall dining experience was superb and we enjoyed our tine here. If you are looking for somewhere to try some excellent grilled meats and seafood look no further.

It's about a 6 minute taxi ride from there. We were seated in the back room with the writing covering the walls. The front bar seemed a little livelier but we took what was offered. Husband had house red wine (3.50 euros) and I had sangria (4.50 euros). Good pours for both. We started with the red shrimp (gambillos) in a lemongrass sauce, about 6 shrimp for 15 euros. Then grilled octopus (which was very tender) over mash potatos and snap peas for 15 euros. We also had a side of grilled bread (4 pieces) for 3.5. We also ordered the Pepita beef with mash potato but took home for dinner as we were full (18 euros). We finished with the homemade corn ice cream with carmelized popcorn and raspberries, which was very unique at 6.5. We added our names to the wall to top off the meal. Service was quick and friendly. Total bill was 85 euros including 5 drinks. It was our best meal in Barcelona so far.

The 1906 or something beer was surprisingly good and kind of honey sweet. Cava was great with jamon. Even if without time to sit down and eat, do buy some cheese to go! We did that and then returned for a proper dinner. The atmosphere was so cozy and makes me feel like it's Christmas there everyday! The service is so kind and accommodating. We shared three incredible salads (one with bufalo mozzarella, one with mushrooms, and the third with orange and chili, as well as shared a large cheese plate of cheeses from Northern Spain. Wow! Everything was absolutely divine! All of the salads were incredible (and it was my first and last bite of jamon iberico while in Barcelona as I'm vegetarian and made an exception of a bite here in order to experience the culinary history of Barcelona... and I am so glad I did this here as my cousin who lives near the restaurant confirmed it is among the best Iberico he had ever eaten). The Rose was incredible and they offer an extensive wine list. The cheeses were unforgettable dekicious. It was such a delicious, beautiful and memorable dinner with such lovely company and our last dinner together in Barcelona this trip. Thank you so much! We hope one day soon to return to Barcelona from NYC!

The food was absolutely amazing. I had a Tebia salad. I honestly can't say I've been so excited over a salad. It had a wonderful aray of light toppings with a hot host cheese on toast. It was delightful and rich with the semisweet salad. My spouse had the fondue and a toast with iberco ham. The tiramisu was not to sweet yet creamy and delicate. Great service, great meal, great start to our trip to Barcelona. Best meal yet in Spain

What a gem! Yes, it's a bit touristy -- but in the fun, festive, "you're on vacation and loving…read morelife" kind of way. Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

For food quality, service, and ambience i will rate this experience with 4.8.
