The hostesses were warm and friendly. There is good reason why it's popular. The food that comes out of the kitchen is elevated, creative and tasty---worthy of more sophisticated large urban cities. Service was casual, but proficient. We had oysters, which were tiny but full of tastes of the ocean. There was an amuse bouche of a choux filled with salmon cream. It was light and a good start to the meal. The shrimp with grits was artfully presented and tasted good. The cream of mushroom soup was rich and earthy. Whatever image that brings up in your mind when you hear Flamingo Lounge, that is the atmosphere you are walking into. We got the Bucket of Butt and the Sourdough Bread Board as well as a couple of drinks. The drinks were top notch, and the Bucket of Butt was some of the best halibut I've ever had in my entire life. If I had one complaint, it's only that there wasn't enough butt in that bucket. If we ever come back to Seward, this is definitely the first place I'll eat at.

I was super impressed with the food. It was a little pricy though! The beer list was very small, considering that it's a brewery. I was disappointed there was no sour or fruity beer on tap. BUT it was still really good, so no complaints there, just don't go in expecting heat.
