Amazing!!! Got the Italian on seeded roll. Roll was amazingly fresh! A lot of meats as well. Macaroni salad very good too. Pretty creamy. And last the cookie. Yum yum definitely recommend!!!

ordered a turkey sandwich, still searching for the turkey

I placed an online order for a few sandwiches. We got the bread, mayo and onions. But the meat was nowhere to be found. I'm thinking of filing a missing persons report for the turkey since it's nowhere to be found! $13 for a turkey sandwich that has 1/8 of a slice of turkey is robbery! When I went to pick up the order, the worker walked my food over to me while yelling at someone on his personal phone. I had to get his attention to let him know I ordered 3 sandwiches because there were only 2 in the bag. He tossed the 3rd at me and continued his phone conversation. Terrible service and terrible sandwiches. I'd skip this place since there are other places in the area that will gladly serve turkey on their turkey sandwiches.

a plate of sandwiches with a sign on it - Two hoagie sandwiches with sliced meats, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce on fresh bread, served on a plate with PrimoHoagies branding and a menu card.

Great sub from Primo Hoagies in Wayne. Our new go to since Jersey Mike's has not been like it use to be, they have been skimping on the meat but no skimping here. Bread is great and they have SHARP provolone cheese which is a BIG BIG plus for me!

This is suppose to be a sandwich... where's the meat - A sandwich with sesame seed bun, yellow pepper slices, and meat filling is shown on branded paper from PrimoHoagies, a hoagie shop.

Employees are bad. Slow constantly on phone. Blaring music like it's a club. I will not be back unless they get a more professional staff.

Do you ever have an experience at a place so bad that it ruins the trajectory of your whole day?…read moreThat was my morning at Jackie Smalls. I don't give out one-stars on principle unless the food is inedible or something egregious happens but I feel in this case it is warranted. This is my third time at Jackie Smalls. My first, I thought the avo toast was great. Second time I got a very bland breakfast burrito. My third, today, I brought my infant son and decided to dine in. I asked for a high chair and once seated was told by my "waiter" that he could not take my order but I had to order at the front. First issue was this high chair. Nobody knew how to adjust the straps including me, and it was some minimal little aesthetic thing that looked like he could easily topple out of. This is important later. Anyways no big deal with the ordering, front guy was accommodating and let me order from my seat. I ordered the Smalls Scramble for me and French toast for my son with the syrup and raspberries on the side, no pistachios or whip. Food takes a good bit to come out, which is no biggie either. When it arrives, they set down the French toast plate with a knife (a knife knife not a butter knife) on it in front of my son. Ok not great but I hand them the knife back. Then I try the food. Honestly, I'm not sure what to say about the food but...yikes. The eggs were certainly not soft scrambled, and the toast did not look buttered, and the weak potatoes were somewhat like a thick flaccid potato chip drenched in truffle oil and, by the way, not more than a speck of salt on anything. It looked pretty but that was about it. The French toast was deep fried or air fried and it was just not good. Sorry, no other way to say it. So I go to ask for two things: salt, and to inquire as to whether the multi-grain toast has nuts since I have an allergy and it looked concerning. I keep having to go up to these counters and leave my baby unattended in his unstable high chair because nobody will come to me and keep making me get up. I had to ask like five people about the bread until someone pulled out a binder and started looking for allergens. Everyone was just pointing me to the next person and many seemed to simply not understand my question due to a language barrier. I get my salt, and this is some COARSE salt. So I couldn't even fix the seasoning. Not flaky, but like coarse and pebbly for pickling or seasoning steaks, not for food. While I'm up and bouncing from person to person I keep gesturing at my son and nobody will come to my table. In the meantime, he smushed the raspberries and spilled the syrup and I'm back and forth between my conversation and keeping my son in his chair. At the end, I just didn't trust these people's knowledge of anything and could not eat any of my food but brought it home for my husband. It's one thing to serve food that needs a bit of work, but you need to at least offer normal table salt for folks to fix it. It's another thing to have the majority of your staff not know about allergens or how to navigate your high chairs. Also that food needed more than a little bit of work. I will say though those pancakes did look good. I will not be posting pictures for this review because I don't want to mislead with the pretty plating.

We usually come when the owner is present, and the experience is always fantastic. Unfortunately, our visit this past Tuesday (which honestly should be Taco Tuesday) missed the mark. Our waitress was new and struggled to explain several menu items, which led to some confusion. We ordered tacos, queso with beans, nachos, and chips with guacamole. The order came out incorrect, and the queso was a major disappointment--it arrived as a bowl of grease, completely separated and inedible. The tacos were very small, light on filling, and lacked the bold seasoning and heartiness we've come to expect here. Honestly, it wasn't the usual Guacamole quality. What made it more frustrating was that the wait staff didn't seem very helpful in correcting the issues or explaining what went wrong. While we noticed the owner wasn't in that day and chalk some of this up to her absence, a restaurant still needs to run smoothly when the owner takes time off--burnout is real, and strong staff support is key. We truly don't want to hurt this business. We drive a distance to come here and still consider it one of our favorite spots. That said, $90 for two meals, one appetizer, and a side of queso and beans, with this experience, felt disappointing. I'm leaving four stars because we know how great Guacamole can be, even though this visit was closer to a two-star experience. I hope management sees this as constructive feedback and uses it to help train newer staff--this place is too good not to get back to its usual standard.

She had been to Zorba Greek Eatery with her friends recently and, knowing I'm quite fond of Mediterranean cuisine, suggested that my husband and I would enjoy it as much as she had. Indeed we did! Hands down, this small, unassuming restaurant located in a shopping center offered some of the best Greek food I have ever eaten. The three of us shared an amazing meal starting with a combination platter of three delicious, creamy spreads (Melitzanosalata, Tzatziki and Hummus) accompanied by a basket of toasty pita triangles. We also ordered Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves - a favorite of my husband's) while perhaps not homemade, were good. My mom and also ordered the Avgolemono Soup (lemon chicken soup) which, while light on the chicken, had a nice flavor. But the top pick in the starter department was the grilled octopus I ordered. I have eaten this seafood in many places, including my former favorite - a beachside taverna in Cozumel, Mexico that, sadly, has been taken over by the sea. Zorba's grilled octopus was perfectly cooked, not chewy at all, and served in a light sauce that complimented it well. We were quite satiated with our starter picks so my mom and I shared a lamb kabob platter. This included two skewers of lamb chunks (rare, as we asked) along with a heaping pile of Zorba fries (oregano, lemon and feta) that were nicely crisp as ordered. My husband's Gyro platter was piled high with the tasty meat and also came with a mountain of the house's special fried potatoes. We were just took full to take another bite. A healthy piece baklava was packed up as a gift in recognition of my mother's birthday - on the house. Wow. The quantity of food that we received required two bags to bring the leftovers home ... which we will thoroughly savor another time. Our server, Michelle, was outstanding. Cherry, friendly and helpful, she was attentive without being intrusive. A true asset! If you crave authentic, Greek fare, then this place is for you. The restaurant is cozy, not fancy by any means ... on par with a nice pizzeria. Parking is easy in the shopping center. They do a healthy take-out service as well. It's BYOB in case you want to bring a bottle of your favorite wine to accompany your meal. Zorba Greek Eatery will be among our top picks when we return to NJ.
