Came here for the first time with super high hopes and I think this place definitely SORTA lives up to the hype. Food: I got a regular sized Italian and my wife got a small sized chicken parm. The fact the small and regular sizes are only about $1.50 different but significant in size is annoying but I understand them trying to upsell you. The food itself was good, I think I was more impressed than my wife. I loved the fact they had so many options even just a classic Italian has 5 different options containing different style meats. I thought that was a different concept and a nice change. The taste itself was very good, I thought the meats tasted very good - but the bread left something to be desired compared to other sandwich chains that will remain nameless. In terms of value it is a bit hard to justify as 2 sandwiches were $26 and one was child size.. yikes. Service: Person at the counter was very nice and it only took them about 5-10 min to get our food together. Really no issues here. Everything was as ordered and it was packaged nicely. Atmosphere: The location is good, parking is good, the place was clean. Plenty of seating inside. Overall no issues. Although there are some redeeming factors to this place - I always heard it was AMAZING. Maybe the Mahwah location is better? Seems like every other sandwich chain although the quality was a bit better and the selection was nice, I don't know if I would come back here over going somewhere closer or a local Italian deli where they stack the ingredients higher and they taste even better. 4 stars for being a bit different than a regular chain - but its probably closer to 3 stars. read more

it smelled aromatic when I walked in, I just looked at the vegetarian options and pleased to find eggplant and had with just broccoli rabe excluding the cheese and peppers it also comes with The small size sandwich was a decent size bigger than Jersey Mike's small (and I don't recall that they have eggplant,) and priced about the same. The bread was unique and worked well with the sandwich. The broccoli rabe was generous which I liked. I'll update the review when I get lunch for the Younghans from a Primo hoagie near them as they will test the meat options. I'm thinking of filing a missing persons report for the turkey since it's nowhere to be found! $13 for a turkey sandwich that has 1/8 of a slice of turkey is robbery! When I went to pick up the order, the worker walked my food over to me while yelling at someone on his personal phone. I had to get his attention to let him know I ordered 3 sandwiches because there were only 2 in the bag. He tossed the 3rd at me and continued his phone conversation. I was driving by and decided to stop in for Lunch. I ordered a sandwich; the sandwiches are a few $ lower than your average Deli sandwich. I waited 5 minutes for my order. The restaurant is nice, neat, and clean. All the employees are nice and friendly spending time to talk to each and every customer. My sandwich was Very Good and All the ingredients were nice and fresh. I would definitely recommend Primo Hoagies to everyone I know. How can you not know that your bread is hard and stale if you're making the sandwich? Is the company that cheap not to throw away hard stale bread away and rather serve it to their customers? Absolute disgrace! We order our Super Bowl Hoagies 24 hours in advance at the WAYNE, NEW JERSEY location. When I entered to pick up the food, my order could not be found. Eventually they found the order and told me my hoagies will be available in 5 - 10 minutes. While waiting I observed four more customers arrive for pick up with the same result. Each time the staff said "It'll be a minute, the bread is in the oven." The sandwiches were never going to be made. When I asked for a refund, the staff seemed relieved to get me out of the shop. It is unbelievable to me that there was no owner or manager in the store on Super Bowl Sunday. This location will be closing soon - the staff was uninterested, helpless, and apparently did not know how to make a Primo's Hoagie. Fortunately, Jersey Mike was able to quickly save us! read more

Let me first start out by saying growing up in South Jersey, we had a Primo Hoagie near our house. It was good. I used to always get the Nellie sandwich. So, when one opened up not too far from my new house in Wayne, I was excited being that I hadn't had a Nellie in a few years. My girlfriend and I went in one night for dinner and ordered to go. One Primo Nellie peppers on the side, One Primo Supremo no peppers (she's allergic) and a Primo Turkey Diablo. After getting our food, taking the 15 minute ride home and sitting down at the table, we were very disappointed to find that instead of the Nellie, I had gotten a Cheesesteak and her Supremo had peppers on it. The Supremo went in the garbage and luckily we had some leftovers from dinner the night before that she ate. The Turkey Diablo was not what I was expecting, so, I took a few bites and left it. Although they messed my order up, the cheesesteak was decent - it's hard to find a good cheesesteak in North Jersey - so I chocked it up to opening jitters and I was content. About a month later I decided to give Primo another shot. I ordered a small Nellie, a small Cheesesteak with fried onions and a Primo Supremo no peppers. The young man at the counter was very friendly and helpful and although he was the only one working that day, we did not have to wait long. Getting home, the order was correct including all of the extra sides ordered. Everything was very good, fresh and tasty. Tonight, I wanted to get a Cheesesteak again. So an order was placed for a Primo Cheesesteak with fried onions and a Primo Supremo no peppers. With two people working it took about 15-20 minutes to get two sandwiches with one person in front of us. Upon arriving home, sitting down and eating, the Cheesesteak just didn't taste like the last one. Cheese was cold, meat was fatty, and they forgot the fried onions. The Primo Supremo was correct except and this has happened before, the bread was hard. I love food. I don't mind paying for a good meal and I certainly don't mind paying for a good experience. Out of the three times I've gone, with different employees working each time, I've only had one good experience here. Two sandwiches and a dirt cup was $34.00. Again, don't mind paying, but twice I paid for a meal that I either didn't order/really want or one that was made not how I ordered. I won't be back. read more

I went today with my friend and expecting high expectation. It was a let down. I ordered grilled chicken with broccoli rabe. Luke warm chicken that didnt taste like real chicken with cold broccoli rabe. The only thing that was good was the bread. Threw out half the sandwich. My friend ordered cheese steak sandwich and macaroni salad. He threw out half his sandwich also. The macaroni salad was real sweet. I dont like to complain but it was a let down. I willnt go back.
