Sean took care of filing the permit for the street tree and worked within my schedule. The crew arrived on time and did a great job expertly extracting the plum tree, grinding down the main trunk and a lateral root. They took their time to remove dead wood areas and shape the larger trees to comply with city regulations but still retain shape and shade. Same was done with the shrubs/trees in the backyard, improving spacing from the house and reducing height to not block solar panels. All debris was removed and ground up in their wood chipper. Very pleased with the results, see photos attached. I continue to recommend Sean and his team!

We are 100% happy customers (-: We requested for all of our different palm trees, box shrubs, and podocarpus hedge to be trimmed back (all if not most were at least 2-3 stories tall). The crew was on time, extremely efficicent and communicative. Everyone was very mindful of our neighbors fence, property, roof line and powerlines. Everyone had PPE on and were so incredibly safe when scaling the trees and hedges. Clean up was very thorough. Majority of our fronds and hedge were processed by the chipper and hauled. Our neighbor was so impressed with the crew he also hired them on the spot to take care of his street tree. It is impressive how much green waste we produced that day. Luckily the city picks up yard trimings on the street so his crew broke down anything else we had to sizeable chunks and neatly piled for SJ GreenWaste to pick up. We will be happy to call them again for yearly tree maintenance service.

He set a time for the estimate, let me know he was on the way, and arrived at the time agreed. Joseph inspected my yard areas with me and had some ideas that I hadn't considered. He gave a competitive estimate, including an accurate timeframe when his crew would arrive. His team also arrived on time. They're equipped like professionals, including all their gear and grinders. They look like they've been working together for a long time as they were quite efficient. They collected all the scraps and blew away all the debris so my yard looks really clean. After they left, Joseph did a walkthrough with me to make sure everything was done right. Thanks so much. I'll definitely call you guys again when I need more work done.

Victor from Denali Tree Service is THE BEST!…read more We just moved here to the Santa Cruz mountains from Los Angeles after losing our home in the Altadena fire. Living in the woods after experiencing a total loss fire was a bit nerve-racking, but we fell in love with this property in the redwoods. I knew we needed to do a bunch of large tree branch cutting for safety and also aesthetic purposes. Also we needed removal of fire risk dead branches on the ground all over the property and on steep forest hillsides. I had no idea how to tackle this new type of property maintenance, as we never had to do this type of tree work in Los Angeles, as well as we didn't have any local resources yet. I was really hoping that we could find someone here that we could trust with our beautiful old redwood trees - but still be affordable. After meeting Victor, we did an extensive property walkthrough to go over all of our goals, questions, and concerns. He spent so much time talking through it all with us, and I was so relieved to find that he was SO good with his attention to details, wealth of knowledge, and great communication skills. I felt in good hands with Victor overseeing the job itself, knowing he would be on site to make sure all the details we had discussed and confirmed would in fact be completed - as we had imagined & planned. I know often unfortunately the reality of a sales guy who can promise a lot, but doesn't actually deliver when it comes to the job getting complete. But Victor had both the knowledge of how to proceed with what we needed on this job and price it accordingly in the most fair way, AND great on site management skills to lead a large crew of guys and equipment to accomplish the job so seamlessly. His communication along the way was helpful too, as he always answered texts or called back quickly in the planning process before the job started. We are so very happy with how the job went! The entire crew was on point, professional and really good at what they do, many of the guys have been in this industry for over 15-20 years! The property looks absolutely amazing, like a fresh makeover on beautiful old trees - making them safer with less fire risk, and also trimming back and shaping them to their best health and appearance. We are so happy and grateful for finding Victor! He is very professional, kind, communicative, knowledgable, and reliable. He is very thorough and detail oriented and his prices are very fair as well. After going through so much stress this year with losing everything, it has been a relief that this large job has been such an easy and calm experience. We will be hiring him to do any future tree work for sure!

Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. They simply could not have done a better job!

Monster came out quickly to do a project review and provided an estimate the next day. I got a good vibe from their estimator. They were booked out a week, but they came earlier than we expected (someone else cancelled) so it was done quickly. Our pittosporum looks great, when usually it just looks messy. They trimmed all the low branches and up the trunks of the main stems. It gives the tree a nice shape and less gunk dropping on the patio. They trimmed it back on one side so that our crepe myrtle has more space to flourish. Monster also trimmed our persimmon which now looks so much better/healthier. And they shaved the neighbors trees up our back fence line. That looked like an impossible task, but they did it! The cost was reasonable, and they did good work. They had us come out to review at the end of the job and they made a few extra cuts at our request, and gave us no attitude.

Or they have branches that present a fire hazard and are close to your roof, giving animals a perfect highway to your attic? We were dealing with it all!! Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND!
