Salvador came out the next day and was wonderful to speak with and work with. The day of the job he had 5 guys out here and they worked from 8am- 4pm and made my overgrown huge oak look like a whole new tree! Their bid was the lowest and they were the fastest. The owner left a card on my gate, which seems to be the reason for some negative reviews--it's unfortunate that people focus on that. I called, and the next day, the owner came to provide a bid. When I asked about scheduling, he said they could start the very next day. They arrived on time and exceeded my expectations, completing much more work than anticipated in a single day. Adolfo came out the same day I called to give a free estimate, and then when we had more questions he came out yet again a couple days later. He is friendly, and his prices are fair. They didn't try to add any costs at the end or complain about anything. His team of 4 men came out and worked HARD all day long, doing an immense amount of work. They removed trees, stacked firewood, weed-whacked, limbed larger trees, and cleaned up afterwards. It's incredible how hard his team works and how efficient they are. They won't get a call from me. They came through a locked gate onto a private road. They were quick to bid and arrive, however communication, quality, and fulfilling the terms of agreement are NOT something they are capable of. Adolfo came out for the bid, we talked over every detail and then the day of the cut, he was nowhere to be found, his crew arrived without any supervision and began cutting all the wrong stuff, and I had to run out there to stop them. Adolfo had completely failed to communicate anything to his crew. A different supervisor showed up eventually, but he wasn't given any information from the boss either. Had I not been onsite, they would've destroyed my property. Two things they were supposed to do was work slower and more carefully around existing structures, plus the logs were supposed to be cut to useable lengths 8' lengths. Instead what I received was excessive damage to my outbuildings and a bunch of 5ft logs. To add insult to injury, they repeatedly did not follow instructions and ended up driving exactly where I told him not to, got their trucks stuck in the mud, and then ended-up driving across my leach fields to tow out! Absurd. They have zero education or knowledge pertaining to the health and sustainability of trees. They merrily turn on chainsaws, cut and chip. Every professional who is visited my property since has shook their head at these guys' work. For the price, professionalism should have been present, and it was now where to be found. There's a reason these guys don't have a Google review page. 100% would not recommend them. read more

Recently, VenRos Tree Service removed a 50+ foot Leland cypress tree from my back yard. They did a great job, working in a confined space next to other trees, plants, and fences. We had three dying white birches situated right next to a koi pond with six giant koi in it, with power and cable lines snaking through the dead birches overhead and all this is immediately next to a newly planted garden. Quite the challenge but the Venros team met the challenge and removed all three offending trees, leaving the fish, the cables and the garden untouched. If that wasn't enough, we also had them remove an oak tree that had been split in half during the winter storms. Growing among redwoods, the oak had grown very tall and was bowed out over the street, well above telephone and cable lines. Venros' expert tree guy secured himself to a neighboring redwood and cut down the oak with no damage to the cables, etc. They cut the oak into 16" rounds for our neighbors to use for firewood and left the place looking as if nothing had happened, except the trees were gone and our neighbors have some free firewood. VenRos Tree service just finished trimming our trees. We have a number of large Redwoods right next to the house and German and his crew came out to take out all the dangerous branches over the house and take the sail out of the trees. German was amazing to work with!! He is very thorough when explaining what he saw needed to be done. His Crew was also amazing. We had 4 guys here. 2 were in the trees and 2 were moving the branches as they came down. The 2 on the ground also would go across the street and look, up them communicate to the guys in the tree what other branches needed to be cut. The trees look great!!! His price was very fair and their work was exceptional from start to the clean up at the finish!!! It was fun to watch these brave guys all the way up in the tippy top of the trees. These guys were amazing. I was dumbfounded that they took down seven small trees on the first day!! My yard is filled with decorations and they carefully relocated anything they thought could be broken. On top of all that they cut and stacked, to our specifications, the wood that we kept. VenRos just finished a 3 day job for us in Scotts Valley and did an excellent job. They cleared part of a roadside of dead trees and debris and cleared and thinned out a redwood grove. They also cleared out another hillside of dead trees. The chipped material they spread throughout. German and his crew cleared an enormous oak that had fallen on a steep slope on my property. They also felled and disposed of several dead pine and Douglas fir trees. A month later another oak toppled. I had them clear that too and, while here, thin out dead branches from the upper canopy of large, healthy oak in our viewshed. In both jobs, they chipped all the branches and cleared underbrush, creating a (relatively) fire-safe corridor. The price was fair. The work crew was efficient and professional.
