Richard's Tree Service did a great job cutting down the bush that had grown into a tree. They did a great job with clean up as well.

Excellent. This was a tree we needed to remove that leaned over our house. They were very efficient and reasonably priced.

I hired Richard and his crew to trim my oak trees. They climbed the live oak trees with climbing spikes, causing significant damage. Richard refused to file a claim with his insurance for malpractice. Before you hire them, I am willing to show you the extensive damage they left behind. read more

Very easy to work with Richard. Whole process was quick and efficient, handled and honored over the phone

Richard is simply the best. I trust Richard's judgement. Twice he has limbed up my huge redwoods. Twice he did a wonderful job at a reasonable price. His crew is amazing. I love to watch them climb! A pleasant experience all round. My trees look great! read more

We used Richards Tree Service to clear out some trees growing close to the home to create more of a fire break. The crew showed up at the time they said. The crew was great and worked together very well. They cleaned up after they were done with the job. We will be calling them back to do more work in the future. read more

This was the second time we used Richard's Tree Service. (I am sorry I forgot to review the first time.) Richard is great to work with, and his crews are tidy, efficient, and pleasant. This time we noticed our broad leaved maple was dying and cracking and looked ready to fall. It would take out the utility lines, and close our street as it would have fallen right across all that. And that would have been the best case scenario! We called on a Wed evening. Richard came out the next day to give a (very reasonable) quote. Then he scheduled his team to remove the tree on Friday. Now that's what I call service. Thank you. read more

I moved up to the SC mountains. Our property has a lot of overgrown redwoods, firs and oaks. I asked the locals who they recommend to limb and remove. Richard's name came up often. I got a bid from Richard and others. His bid was very reasonable. His crew arrived on time and were extremely professional and polite. They are a great bunch! In the end, Richard went beyond my expectations. I couldn't be more pleased with our tree landscape... read more

Richards Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Boulder Creek, California

This is one of most professional tree service business that I've worked with during my 7 years at Allterra Solar. Richard's crew were courteous and very efficient while taking down a tree on our property in Felton. They also did a great job cleaning up our front yard after they finished their work. I would highly recommend Richard's Tree Service for any tree work that is needed at your home in the Valley. read more

We're repeat customers of Richard's Tree Service and for good reason; we have had several tall and tricky trees that Richard has taken down safely and without damaging our buildings or property. We really like that Richard shows up on time. He has his insurance papers in-hand. Call are returned quickly, and his crew says they will show up when they say they are going to. The site is always left clean and the work is done safely. But here's the best part that will earn my business forever. Last week Richard needed to remove a diseased oak that was easily 50 feet tall. The tree was right next to a fence. During the removal, one branch fell and bent the top rail of the fence. Without asking (and before he asked for the check for the job) he arranged for a replacement. Before you know it, the fence was repaired, the tree was gone, and Richard gained a whole lot of respect from me. He and his family will alway have my business. read more

Richard was quick to give an estimate and to schedule, arriving punctually with a crew that worked well and happily together. All my interactions with them from start to finish were very polite and pleasant. The work was completed exceptionally well and quickly, with tall trees pruned safely without any damage to buildings or wires underneath. Exceptional. read more

My Husband & I have used Richard's Tree service over that last ?? 20-30 years, for both home and Business (that was Bear Creek Country Club until 2016). A couple of years ago I had Richard remove 8 huge dead/dying & diseased trees a few that were wrecking the roof rafters. He is very safety oriented. It is a dangerous job and a couple of years ago some guy lost his life...NOT Richard's employee. He knows when to give a problem tree to another company that has the "cherry picker" bucket and crane as was the case with a huge 50 y/o rotted at the base Oak Tree. He is on time, straight forward, honest, fairly priced. If something is not right he corrects it whether reported by me or his employees reported to him. He just removed a couple of dead trees last week, and trimmed the tall Pistachio among others. I always recommend him! read more

We had a very challenging and difficult tree, needing an arborist to climb 200 feet to the crown, to check the health of our Fir tree and then trim away dead and overloaded limbs. Richard gave us the best quote and came highly recommended. The crew showed up the following Monday and proceeded to climb Everest! His climber went to the very top checked crown then started removing limbs the size of small trees. They roped everything off and lowered the limbs with care as this tree is directly over our house. Richard was on site making sure all limbs were trimmed properly and the result was a tree that now looks healthy and balanced. The ground crew was meticulous chipping all brush, raking up yard all that was left was a pile of wood chips we will use for our garden. Richard and his crew were polite, hard working and easy to do business with 5 stars. read more

Richard's son Adam and team have been here a couple of times already. These folks are very professional. They've removed a few 100ft+ tall firs. Very safe, honest and fast. They chip all the limbs and brush, cut the trunk into rounds that then can be split (you do that part or they can make referral) for wood-burning stove. They can also grind stumps (we have redwood stump to remove). I highly recommend them. read more

Reliable and great work by his professional crew. It couldn't have gone smoother. I had trees topped and some removed and I found them safety conscious and courteous. read more

Wonderful family owned tree business. Fair prices and easy to work with. They removed a tree at my house and did a great job from start to finish. It was a touchy job as the 70' tree was up against my house, and it could have gone really wrong. Cannot recommend them enough and they are just good people! read more

Richard is known to climb trees himself, so you can get the owner directing the crew when you hire these guys. They're reliable, affordable, and worked carefully around my landscaped property. read more

When my family's cabin in Brookdale had several massive trees requiring very careful removal to protect our cabin, we used Richard and his crew and are so thankful we did! He is experienced, methodical, informational, and awe inspiring to watch. Years of experience proved invaluable, he could land a branch from 200 feet up on a dime! The best. read more

Found Richards Tree Service from a good review on Nextdoor. All good news. Hired them to do some clearing and they did a superb job. Skilled chainsaw workers who worked efficiently and professionally. They navigated a challenging terrain, took care of the chipping and hauling and left the place clean. Showed up on time and were even done a little early. I give them five stars. And, as a note, if Richard says the job will take four men, believe him. He was right and I"m glad they were all there. read more

Richard's Tree Service just removed 4 huge tree stumps for a really great price. Called them Tuesday. Richard returned my call that night, came out and gave me an estimate the next day. Showed up right on time this morning and were in and done in under two hours. His service tech Dave was polite and professional. I highly recommend them! read more

This guy did ok taking the trees down, but has left the logs in my driveway for almost a month now with endless excuses!! And the pile of wood chips is still sitting there slowing being scattered all over my property. I am NOT happy!! read more

less than 30 minutes warning that they were going to start early morning chipping and tree work and needed our cars moved. I don't think with the lot they are working on that they got permission from the owner to do said work, seems like the next door neighbor is the one who called them. I'll definitely be calling the owner of the lot. read more

Rude when I talked to them and overpriced. I've been cutting my trees for years and will always use some other tree service.

We have used Richard and his sons through the years and have always found them professional and thorough. They are busy because they are good and give good estimates. Good guys!!!~ read more

My new homeowners' insurance came with a caveat...the redwood branches above my roof were too close to the roof and needed removal ( I was given a year to comply). I called Richards' Tree Service and left a voice message. The next day I was contacted by Richards' son, Alex. Alex came to look over the job on Monday the 19th and I added removal of some smaller Bay/Laurel trees that were affecting my view. The quote was quite reasonable and Alex said that he could do the job on Wednesday (the 21st) morning! Alex and his crew arrived on time, they were very professional, communicated with each other very well and had my job finished in about 3 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend them! read more

Richard and his crew just removed a very large eucalyptus tree from my front yard. The tree had large limbs including a couple leaning towards the house. Richard was timely in providing a quote, and was able to perform the job within days. He and his crew arrived on time and completed the job within hours. It was fun to watch how he roped the limbs to have them fall in just the right spot. The tree is gone and the mess cleaned up in one day. His price was fair and his work was excellent. read more

Great service. Inspected the trees before hand and recommended a course of action. Not someone who is ready to cut the forest to the ground. I appreciate the professional approach and respect for the trees. Had three problem trees dropped and one trimmed. Showed up on time, got the job done. Everything as promised, even discounted from the estimate because they got it done faster than expected. One of the trees was between a water tank and a pump shed. 150 foot oak tree, trimmed it, dropped it in lengths and never touched a thing - great job guys!! read more

I don't know about the owner, but one of his employees was extremely rude to my wife yelling at her over a neighbor's fence where they were doing tree work. I will never consider nor recommend them to do any tree work. read more
