Sean took care of filing the permit for the street tree and worked within my schedule. The crew arrived on time and did a great job expertly extracting the plum tree, grinding down the main trunk and a lateral root. They took their time to remove dead wood areas and shape the larger trees to comply with city regulations but still retain shape and shade. Same was done with the shrubs/trees in the backyard, improving spacing from the house and reducing height to not block solar panels. All debris was removed and ground up in their wood chipper. Very pleased with the results, see photos attached. I continue to recommend Sean and his team!

Foreman and crew were very professional and handled everything with precision and care. Thank you…read moreso much! We are 100% happy customers (-: We requested for all of our different palm trees, box shrubs, and podocarpus hedge to be trimmed back (all if not most were at least 2-3 stories tall). The crew was on time, extremely efficicent and communicative. Everyone was very mindful of our neighbors fence, property, roof line and powerlines. Everyone had PPE on and were so incredibly safe when scaling the trees and hedges. Clean up was very thorough. Majority of our fronds and hedge were processed by the chipper and hauled. Our neighbor was so impressed with the crew he also hired them on the spot to take care of his street tree. It is impressive how much green waste we produced that day. Luckily the city picks up yard trimings on the street so his crew broke down anything else we had to sizeable chunks and neatly piled for SJ GreenWaste to pick up. We will be happy to call them again for yearly tree maintenance service.

He set a time for the estimate, let me know he was on the way, and arrived at the time agreed. Joseph inspected my yard areas with me and had some ideas that I hadn't considered. They look like they've been working together for a long time as they were quite efficient. They collected all the scraps and blew away all the debris so my yard looks really clean. After they left, Joseph did a walkthrough with me to make sure everything was done right. Thanks so much. I'll definitely call you guys again when I need more work done.

Monster came out quickly to do a project review and provided an estimate the next day. I got a good vibe from their estimator. They were booked out a week, but they came earlier than we expected (someone else cancelled) so it was done quickly. Our pittosporum looks great, when usually it just looks messy. They trimmed all the low branches and up the trunks of the main stems. It gives the tree a nice shape and less gunk dropping on the patio. They trimmed it back on one side so that our crepe myrtle has more space to flourish. Monster also trimmed our persimmon which now looks so much better/healthier. And they shaved the neighbors trees up our back fence line. That looked like an impossible task, but they did it! The cost was reasonable, and they did good work. They had us come out to review at the end of the job and they made a few extra cuts at our request, and gave us no attitude.

Who else has uncooperative, unfriendly neighbors with massive trees that dump endless debris into…read moreyour yard and pool? Or they have branches that present a fire hazard and are close to your roof, giving animals a perfect highway to your attic? We were dealing with it all!! Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! We were so impressed with Carlos's expertise, professionalism, and customer service that we've already engaged his family's landscaping division (Zazueta Landscaping) to assess our entire front and backyard for a complete re-do. Save yourself the hours of overkill research I already did and just call them!!! You wibe so glad you did! P.S. In the "after" photo of the massive oak tree, it might look like the top branches weren't cut back entirely. Carlos explained that they always prioritize the long-term health of the tree.
