Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They've also done contract work for big projects as well. Some of you may have seen them working along Highway 17 during the cleanup effort. They review exactly what you need and the health of everything. In some cases, they will cut more or less in some areas to keep the tree healthy and still clean it up. Even if you're not sure about trees, they'll come examine them for free. They also do work for two of my neighbors and are really wonderful. They really enjoy their work and very proud of it. Carlos was the first company out and he was friendly and low pressure, very fast communication, and his pricing was on par with the other quotes I received shortly thereafter. I wanted a company that had an arborist on staff, which Carlos was, and that had very strong reviews, which Zazueta Tree Specialists did. So they checked all the boxes and I decided to go with them, though another highly rated local company also was a strong option. Carlos and team arrived early on the designated day, explained what they would be doing and how long it would take roughly, and then got to work. They had all the proper gear (basket crane to get really high up), wood chipper to break down the branches they cut, and they did a wonderful job of cleaning up after. They also were able to work around a bee hive that was in our big tree. So everything went well, the job was well done, and the service and communication was great as well.
