Also, they don't have the hidden charge of insurance or buying a proprietary lock. The place is clean and easy to use. The only semi-weird thing is that there are load bearing columns in the units that you need to work around for storing your stuff but that's to be expected in a retrofitted old factory building. I believe the space taken up by these columns is not counted in the square footage of the unit so it's no big deal unless you're trying to store some sort of giant item. Anyway, highly recommended!

They didn't have any discounts to offer, but the value of the spaces I rented was well worth it. I had also rented U-Haul trucks when they used to have them. They don't have them anymore, but my experience with their trucks was seamless and easy. I was able to get all my stuff moved in and the truck returned in one day. The GM, Laura, gave me a tour and helped me pick the right size unit for me (a smaller one). Laura also made sure I had no trouble getting in the building with my personal security code. Signing the agreement was quick and easy and Laura was patient and knowledgeable, answering all my questions. Previously, I was at a competitor. I had a small 5x10 unit, outdoor access, not climate controlled, and part-time attendant. I went there because it was close, and they had a "first month free" offer. I never actually got that free month, and they raised my rates twice in a six month period by a large amount. At first, it was $85/month, then two months in it was raised to $133/mo; then I got a notice in November that it would be raised to $180/mo right before Christmas. I decided it was time to move out and find some place better. I got a unit at 10x Self Storage on Pullman Street. The unit was 10x10 (actually a little bigger), indoor, and climate controlled. At $175/mo, it was a tad cheaper than my previous unit with way more benefits. They offered 50% off for the first three months, and actually stuck by the offer (unlike the previous place that never gave me the promised free month). I used the 10x10 for a year, then downsized to a smaller 5x5 unit at $59/mo before moving out (I no longer needed extra storage). I really appreciate a company that doesn't bait-and-switch, and that doesn't get you into a unit only to jack your rates up. I found 10x to be an honest business, top quality, and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them, and would also use their facilities again.

I had looked at several other storage facilities in the area when I was selling my house and moving into an apartment and needed to store some of my stuff. 10x Self Storage beat all of the rest that I looked at. The manager that I first met with was excellent and and explained the whole process to me who hadn't rented a unit previously. The facility is easily accessible and conveniently situated with lots of parking. It is climate controlled and the inside access is great as opposed to other facilities which only had access from the outdoors and were not climate controlled. This was the easiest storage rental I've had. Having moved around a lot in the past and now having to manage storing a bunch of stuff for an estate, I was happy to get set up with a unit here. Marcy was very easy-going and friendly and walked me through everything. It all made sense and it was nice to get a discount on a couple of months rent with a deal they had. The only negative is sometimes you have to go looking for one of the carts they offer. That's not a ding on them, though. Some people just hoard the carts to load things up on and never put them back in the place they got them from. Just like people who end their sentences with prepositions, you have to tolerate people being people sometimes.

They did go a little past the time quoted but that is to be expected especially since we were located on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Although I wasn't happy with the extra $500 in charge I paid it because I can tell they worked hard- My husband didn't want me to pay them since he also helped them a bit with moving items but it would have added an extra few hours so I am glad he did. In any case, I found the movers to be professional. Anything they pulled apart they put back together. My two stars are not for those guys but for the issues that resulted afterward. Since they did drop my treadmill and another item and damaged my floor they offered to fix it since they have a flooring company. Vanessa was a bear to deal with from sending fake information to canceling appts or not following up until the last minute if at all. First, she showed up with markers to colour the floor then she sent someone who insisted the damage was from heat then she sent another person who told me he can't change the flooring and if he switched it out it would be made worse and he doesn't know what to do. She then emails me and said he felt humiliated by me which is NOT what he stated. If you need to move- use another company as the customer service from the office is terrible.
