    Carnitas plate

Visited Springfield, Mo and tried Primas Mexican food. Didn't have a lot of time to enjoy a great meal but Primas was very authentic and reasonably priced. Primas has seating to accommodate and size of party hut do recommend calling ahead. Tried the Carnitas plate which came with beans and rice and was very good Will be back to update the review.

Chicken Enchilada off Lunch Menu with a side of Frijoles Rancheros

Very stylish Mexican restaurant with great food. My wife and I went there for lunch and were greeted by friendly staff and very savory lunch menu with reasonable prices. I had the Burrito de Carnitas which I didn't realize would be smothered with cheese sauce. I normally don't like that but this cheesy sauce was scrumptious! I also tried the Rancheros beans which was so tasty with a hint of chorizo in it. My wife got the chicken enchilada which she raved over. It's a nice place for that special night out. Can't wait to come back.

First time at this place. Pretty good experience. I had the tortilla so with the quesadilla. Tasted quite good. This is a nice restaurant, attentive staff. Try it out.

    Chips and salsa

Right away I was a little surprised that there weren't more people eating dinner in here! My guess is the location maybe isn't super convenient for people who actually live in the area, but I don't know. I thought it was good! The chips were on the thinner side which I like. I was nearly falling asleep at any moment after a long day, and the chips alone seemed to be just the fuel that I needed to make me feel much better! The salsa was also nice. I liked the consistency that was the right combination between smooth and chunky. I also thought it was a good amount of spiciness, and I didn't even ask if they had a spicier option like I do a lot of the time. I ordered the San Miguel enchiladas. The description in the menu really caught my attention because it mentioned a "light lemon and sour cream sauce".... mmmm! I liked the sauce a lot. Not super sour but a bit, and nice and creamy too. It also wasn't too thick, which I liked. The chicken inside was also good and wasn't too dry. I thought it was interesting how there wasn't a reformed beans option (just pinto or black) because that's just what I'm used to. I did realize that the pinto beans were a bit mushier like refried beans though, so maybe they were and just weren't listed that way? Anyway, I got the black beans and rice. Both were good but nothing necessarily super memorable about either. There weren't lots of people working there, but they were all kind and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too noisy (although again there weren't many people there). The overall atmosphere was cool too. It almost had a relaxing feel to it, like you were at some kind of semi casual resort in Mexico or something.

We love the Chips, Queso and salsa at Primas. The chips are the best we've ever had anywhere if you like like thin crispy chips. Very good.

Nice atmosphere, decent prices, good food. I had the chicken chimichanga and it was delicious. Check it out if you haven't.

We are finally getting one in Saint Charles County. Yay!!! I often go just for the goat cheese salad, which is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. I was sad to find out that they discontinued all eggplant dishes, so no more eggplant pizza and no more eggplant Parmesan. The spinach goat the pizza on thin crust was delicious and super garlicky, but I love the garlic! I added Italian sausage because, duh! :) the Sicilian pizza has all the Italian cold cut such as capicola, salami, pepperoni, and pepperoncini's! This restaurant on Battlefield Road is always busy and full of families and a vibrant bar area. They are kept hopping with carry out orders too. The children love watching the pizzas makers tossing pizzas through the viewing window. Even though they were busy, our food came out in a very timely manner, and our drinks were never empty. Fabulous service.
