    Carnitas plate

Visited Springfield, Mo and tried Primas Mexican food. Didn't have a lot of time to enjoy a great meal but Primas was very authentic and reasonably priced. Primas has seating to accommodate and size of party hut do recommend calling ahead. Tried the Carnitas plate which came with beans and rice and was very good Will be back to update the review.

Chicken Enchilada off Lunch Menu with a side of Frijoles Rancheros

Very stylish Mexican restaurant with great food. My wife and I went there for lunch and were greeted by friendly staff and very savory lunch menu with reasonable prices. I had the Burrito de Carnitas which I didn't realize would be smothered with cheese sauce. I normally don't like that but this cheesy sauce was scrumptious! I also tried the Rancheros beans which was so tasty with a hint of chorizo in it. My wife got the chicken enchilada which she raved over. It's a nice place for that special night out. Can't wait to come back.

First time at this place. Pretty good experience. I had the tortilla so with the quesadilla. Tasted quite good. This is a nice restaurant, attentive staff. Try it out.

    Chips and salsa

Right away I was a little surprised that there weren't more people eating dinner in here! My guess is the location maybe isn't super convenient for people who actually live in the area, but I don't know. I thought it was good! The chips were on the thinner side which I like. I was nearly falling asleep at any moment after a long day, and the chips alone seemed to be just the fuel that I needed to make me feel much better! The salsa was also nice. I liked the consistency that was the right combination between smooth and chunky. I also thought it was a good amount of spiciness, and I didn't even ask if they had a spicier option like I do a lot of the time. I ordered the San Miguel enchiladas. The description in the menu really caught my attention because it mentioned a "light lemon and sour cream sauce".... mmmm! I liked the sauce a lot. Not super sour but a bit, and nice and creamy too. It also wasn't too thick, which I liked. The chicken inside was also good and wasn't too dry. I thought it was interesting how there wasn't a reformed beans option (just pinto or black) because that's just what I'm used to. I did realize that the pinto beans were a bit mushier like refried beans though, so maybe they were and just weren't listed that way? Anyway, I got the black beans and rice. Both were good but nothing necessarily super memorable about either. There weren't lots of people working there, but they were all kind and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too noisy (although again there weren't many people there). The overall atmosphere was cool too. It almost had a relaxing feel to it, like you were at some kind of semi casual resort in Mexico or something.

We love the Chips, Queso and salsa at Primas. The chips are the best we've ever had anywhere if you like like thin crispy chips. Very good.

We spent about $40 for two people and had table service, which was a nice touch. Our waitress was very friendly and had a great attitude, though it seemed like she might have been having an off night as there were a few small mistakes along the way. The food was good across the board -- nothing bad at all, just not especially memorable. The space itself is a plus: larger dining room, comfortable seating, and a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. If you're comparing Mediterranean options in Springfield, I'd probably give the edge on food to Greek Belly, but Crave offers a more spacious and relaxed dine-in atmosphere. Overall, a good, reliable option -- especially if you value the setting as much as the food.

I stick with the basic gyro and my daughter got the Philly cheese steak gyro and the beef shrawma dinner plates. We also order some appetizer and dessert. Food tastes very fresh and good. A must try spot.

Enter The Grotto west coast food. Since I lived on the west coast for 40 years I thought it was appropriate that I come to judge the West coast authenticity. This place is awesome. My friend had a Baja bowl that looked and smelled divine and I had the steak Gorgonzola salad, the meat portion was huge and the candied pecans were delicious. I might even bring my super judgmental west coast rude family here since I think even they would be pleased at how delicious the food was. We sat in a comfy booth and loved every bite of our meal, the balsamic vinaigrette was the perfect complement to the savory steak and sweet pecans. I can't wait to go back to the grotto
