Why is this store such a dud?…read more Okay, we were spoiled before moving to western Lenexa. From our old home, Hen House, Sprouts, McKeever's, Aldi, and HyVee were all less than 2 miles away. Now, we're stuck with this Price Chopper that has no atmosphere, no character and even the employees don't seem to want to be there. On our most recent visit, we spent at least 20 minutes in the store and not one employee spoke a single word to us. Don't get me started on all of the holes on the shelves. Hopefully soon, another grocery store will open in the area and this PC will be forced to be better or be a goner.

Looks like all the reviews are pretty old. 2026 now and I've been going to this price chopper since before their update/before they built the walmart across the way. It did have a customer service issue for a while, so I can agree with the other reviews during that time frame, but these past couple of years have actually been really great for customer service. It's always been a clean store, and they always have a selection of things that the ol' wally world just doesn't carry. Keep up the good work on that customer service, and hopefully you can get your scores up! See you guys here in a few minutes when you open up.

We have enjoyed their produce at the the farmers market, so getting to the source is next-level. If you're there for strawberries, then just know that the patch is wayyyyyy in the back. You can hitch a ride on one of the tractor-pulled carts or hoof it yourself, just through the play areas and up the gentle slope. Berries are poppin' in May, so getcha a box and get to hunting! Hot tip: the best berries seem to be in the middle. A flat box runs you $0.75 and the berry price is a bit over $5/lb. If you just can't stop picking, then you'll fill a flat quickly and you're rewarded with maybe $40 worth of strawberry goodness. These berries are so worth it! Clean, sweet, and just ripe for the picking! Gieringers does other berries (blackberries, blueberries, etc.) but those are best picked well into the summer. The service is awesome, whether it's help with parking or a lift to & from the berry patch, the staff is always helpful and easy to find. Great enterprise and great fun!

Two slices fill me up. Second, the ingredients are delicious. Fresh orange and yellow peppers adorn meats and a perfect crust. Third, the thing is only $6.50. $6.50!!!! I can easily get four meals out of this thing. I usually pair it with a small Italian salad. Man on man is it good. I've recommended it to countless individuals. Okay, one friend of mine who likes cheap pizza almost as much as I do. This thing is fresh, it sells out often, and it's cheaper than a frozen pizza. AND TWICE THE SIZE. It's good. Really good. Sometimes, I'll spice it up with a little siracha. Besides the pizza, the veggies are fresh and good. The premise food is good. And the prices are phenomenal. I've done a little comparison and their squash comes out to be just under $1 per pound, where as Walmart has it $1.38. Hyvee is $1.60. The cart thing is a little weird, but I get it. They don't have to hire a cart fetcher. And I really like that they allow their clerks to sit down. Why don't other retailers allow this? Also, la croix is cheaper here than anywhere else, and their knockoff la croix is just as good, maybe better. It's $2.50 for a 12 pack. I'm a big fan.

It's quite small, but I'm eager to go back and check out more things, especially as we get closer to holidays (and PIE, because they had a lot of pies that looked very promising). I ended up just grabbing a hot sandwich combo from the back: burnt ends, spicy sauce with tomato/cucumber salad as my side and it comes with a can of pop. Everyone was SO friendly! I think every employee in the store might have said hello at least once haha. It wasn't just to me; they were friendly to everyone. There was a ton of meat on the sandwich and the sandwich was good. Their standard BBQ sauce that the meat is lightly dressed in is maybe not my favorite I've ever had. It had maybe a fruity flavor to it that wasn't my favorite. The spicy sauce doesn't taste that much different, but it does pack a bit of a punch. Now if you eat raging spicy things all the time, you'll be fine, but if you're not into spice, you probably will think it's pretty spicy. I really loved that cucumber salad. As a side, it was a huge portion and I liked how the pieces were nice and chunky. I'll definitely be back and try some other things and have a closer look around. I also signed up for their emails so I'll get their ads.
