Went to Walmart today to get two tires put on my car. I specifically told the tech at least twice that I wanted to keep the good tiire , I had a bald tire and a good tire on the back of my car. When I went to pick up the car, I asked them if they had put the good tire in my trunk like I had asked them to do, and they said yes. Went out to my car, no tire. I went back into Walmart and I told the manager about the problem and he said he would fix it for me, but he came out with the bald tire, apparently the good tire magically disappeared! I will never do business with these crooks again, I feel like they are very dishonest and crooked. Would not recommend Walmart Automotive in Gardner, Kansas to anyone. I drive truck for a living and stopped he in the early morning to get some food for me and because of COVID-19 nothing is open 24 hours!! So I had to wait a few hours and took a nap ! When I woke up they were putting boots on all the trucks and motorhome a parking on there lot ! There are songs posted but most are covered with tree branches... it's had enough for most drivers to find a spot to sleep let alone a safe place also . I was talking with the guy putting the boots on and he said that he was the owner of the towing company and he told me 350.00 to take the boot off or I would be towed!!! And in the conversation it came out that he was a X truck driver! That's when the top of my head popped off and my temper almost got to him !!! I told him he should be ashamed of yourself and I thought that he should've know better!! He told me he doesn't profit from the boots and he was just doing it for Walmart!! Seams to me that Walmart is still making the same amount of money (if not more ) and now they have less overhead and and less employee cost !! And if your not open nights what's the difference! You Walmart should be ashamed as well !!! I would shop at this Walmart if it was the last place to buy milk and my grandkids were hungry!!! read more

It's definitely your standard Walmart. Super busy. Lots of stocking going on. And an average of 3-4 or the 100 available registers open at any given time. It is much cleaner than most Walmart's and they are rarely out of what you are looking for, with the exception of their grocery section. Gardner's grocery day for most folks must be the weekend. If I could give a zero star I would. Hate the self check out, if I wanted to check out myself I would order all my stuff online. They have over 20 checkouts and usually only have 3 or 4 open. Go in on a Saturday when it is busy and still only 3 or 4 checkouts open. They have a ton of workers just walking around not doing a dang thing, they should be trained on a checkout so I don't have to wait 30 mins to checkout. read more

I will NEVER shop at the GARDNER KS Walmart again! They are the rudest people on the planet. Today I tried to price match local ads and the cashier disputed the ad I was price matching! Like I really want to STEAL .75 cents! IF I wanted to steal from you, I'd steal big or go home! When I asked customer service what the store price match policy was it was a whole lot of talking but no clear answer. t's like they make it up as they go. I have complained to the store manager before and I get apologizes but no action. She promises to address the rudeness, long lines,ambiguous price match policy and poor customer service but nothing changes. I am awaiting a phone call from the district manager but have little confidence that the issues will be addressed and rectified. I spend anywhere from $800 to $1000 a month at this company but I will be spending my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

This Walmart has gotten better since they have the self checkout. The pharmacy is a different story. If you need anything more than a couple weeks worth you are screwed. If you have to work with anyone but the Pharmacist, you are going to need a valium. The people that work in the pharmacy, other than the Pharmacist, are morons. I can't go there anymore because don't have patience for stupid. One worker can't hardly understand english. My wife used to laugh at me because they would piss me off enough that she would have to go pick up the prescriptions. She is now having same problems I have had with them. She has now told me that we are moving all prescriptions to Costco. Which believe it or not is much less stressful. read more

This is by far the worst WalMart that I have ever been to! What really blows my mind is the fact that despite it being a big store, they seem to ALWAYS be understaffed in the checkout lines. They'll have 2 lanes open for a massive crowd in which you have to wait in for over 30mins just to get checked out. The staff isn't unfriendly, but they certainly aren't friendly either. You can tell that they hate their jobs (and quite frankly can you blame them?) I think they need to get a whole new staff, starting with the management. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. I'd much rather take the time to drive to Olathe's Walmart than waste it at Gardner's. read more

Never a surprise that they never have enough cashiers. Lines are all backed up and customers are getting cranky. I don't understand why they never have enough staff, are they really being that cheap after all the money people spend here. There is just not enough options to shop, so like everyone else were stuck with Walmart. They need to be better with customers and train better in customer service. read more

This WalMart has its ups and downs. It is great to have a WalMart so close to home and they give the other grocery store in town some competition. Most of the staff are friendly, I have had an issue with a couple cashiers that are less than friendly and I purposely avoid their line. At any rate, my other general complaint is that even though they are supposed to ad-match, they are consistently out of the products that are available to match and it's almost as if they purposefully stock a different size so they don't have to honor the ad. They have recently added some self-check out lines which is awesome but the past few times I've been in, one or more of these new machines had been broken. I will continue to do business at this WalMart but have found it necessary to visit another one in Olathe on a few occasions because this WalMart has either not carried a product or it has been out of stock. read more

Had to look everywhere for an associate in electronics. Damon finally came and helped out. Even recommended a game for me that I ended up liking. Some associates had an unpleasant vibe about them which is understandable on a Saturday before a big snowstorm. Pharmacy associates were superb. read more

So this is not specific to the Walmart in Gardner, It's for which ever department handles the Savings Catcher. I had a nice amount that I had gotten back and when I tried to turn it into an ecard I never received it via email. I emailed the customer support team who advised me to use a public email account rather than my work email. So I went in and updated my email account on file and now over a month later still no reward card! When I spoke with them on the phone I was told, after giving them my previous email along with my new email, she would be able to access my info and get me the ecard (that was 2-3 weeks ago). She also told me that have had problems when people went in to update their email account on file - it basically opens a new account for them and they lose all previous rewards! And now today I get another email telling me how to update my email (which I did already and they had been told that in all previous communications) and now they tell me to go to my local Walmart with my photo ID and someone there can help me! I don't think so! This is the 2nd time I've not gotten my ecard from them. read more
