Alec in pharmacy is the absolute best. Walked me through a convoluted medication process, helped me…read moreget the appropriate syringes and then made sure I knew what to expect when taking the meds. 10/10, no notes.

I was at CVS in Mission, KS a few days ago. I heard and saw the pharmacist yelling at a middle-aged…read morewoman because she took his photo. Not sure what lead up to it, but the behavior that I observed from the CVS employees afterwards was shocking, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I heard him yelling at her repeatedly to "get out now" and "you need to leave" and that he was refusing to fill her prescription just because she took his photo. He yelled, YELLED at this woman multiple times about her photo of him being a "HIPAA violation." This was all total BS. It was not, in fact, a HIPAA violation. He was spewing nonsense and she knew it. I heard HER quoting HIPAA law. Correctly. She never raised her voice and never insulted him for his obvious lack of knowledge, professionalism, and empathy. He was inept and his behavior was just disgusting. And totally wrong. Someone who works in healthcare, especially at CVS (which has been extremely problematic regarding HIPAA law and lost several lawsuits over HIPAA violations) should absolutely know HIPAA laws. He obviously did not. This customer didn't violate HIPAA. She knew it and moreover the pharmacist knew it. He was attempting to bully her because he apparently didn't like that she took his picture. To top it off, the pharmacist then lied to the store manager in order to get the customer kicked out of the store. Just deranged. I heard this poor woman asking the store manager if she could continue to sit for a few more minutes because she was disabled. But, the manager didn't listen. Instead, the manager threatened to call 911, I'm assuming to scare her. These CVS employees are real garbage individuals. I ended up having to wait in line, but I looked for the woman when I left. I'm an attorney specializing in healthcare and HIPAA and I would love to represent her against: the pharmacist - Waqas, the store manager - Pamela, and CVS for human rights violations, discrimination, and slander. As for shopping at CVS, I will not be going back. I will literally go anywhere else and pay more the next time my son needs cough medicine. I regret not saying something to her in the moment. But, she was holding her own, as far as knowing HIPAA law. I just can't believe he wouldn't give her the medication and then lied to have her removed from the store. She did nothing wrong. How is anyone supposed to trust a pharmacist to fill a prescription correctly, if he doesn't even know the federal laws that govern his profession, his job? I have zero trust in this pharmacy after witnessing the blatant lying, buffoonery, and willful ignorance on display. I'd advise others to also steer clear.

Terrible experience…read more.. The store is extremely dirty. In addition, the worst customer service experience by pharmacy. They do not accept GoodRx coupons even though the coupon specifically says accepted at all CVS pharmacies. I went up to the checkout, informed her I had a coupon. She told me she could not handle coupons and told me I would have to go down and talk with a pharmacist. I went down and talked with the pharmacist; she acknowledged me after a few minutes but was chatting with the other pharmacist complaining about a doctor that sent in a prescription order as well as a customer that had come in earlier in the day loud enough that I could hear the conversation; after a few more minutes asked how she could help. I told her I had a GoodRx coupon and the lady at checkout was not able to check me out and told me I'd have to come down and see her. She immediately said they do not accept good arts but only CVS coupons and my prescription was 2x as much as the coupon I had; and more than insurance. I told her that wasn't acceptable and she could not help me and I needed to go back down to the checkout and talk with the pharmacist manager. Why could the manager not come to me? The manager did not even listen to what I had to say and told me there was nothing she could do.

Friendly staff but the store seems old and dingy. It used to smell like mold, but that has gotten…read morebetter. I've been using another CVS but switched to this CVS because it is five minutes away from my house. I was happy to notice that the store smells better now. Also, I had great experiences with two caring staff members who patiently answered all my questions about my prescriptions and helped me register for the extra care program. I can't praise these associates highly enough. One was at the front register and the other filled my pharmacy order. Kudos to them! CVS stores always seem to look a little disorganized compared to Walgreens, which is immaculate. However, my health insurance company does not offer Walgreens as a Pharmacy option. Since this store seems cleaner, and especially since the staff are so friendly and helpful, I feel pretty good about transitioning to this CVS store. I'm looking forward to having a pharmacy so close to home and being able to use the delivery services.
