Front of studio inside the mall.

I took my family to Pretty Pixels for Christmas photos. This place is great! They did an amazing job from start to finish. Laura was the girl who helped us through the entire process and was delighted at how well she assisted us. I had never been comfortable with anybody holding my newborn (besides family, and the Dr.) but Laura was able to calm and ease her for a rewarding photograph moment. They are inside the West Covina mall, across Macys.

They only have ONE computer to "view" and choose pictures on! Horrible! For how busy they are and how up to date they look, they're NOT!

Two years apart, and both sessions were equally beautiful, fun, and everything I could have hoped for. What sets Janice apart isn't just her incredible eye for a photo - it's how genuinely present and thoughtful she is with my whole family. She was extremely patient and gentle with my newborn, and made my two year old feel completely at ease by leaning right into all the toys she kept eagerly showing off. Watching that connection unfold was honestly one of my favorite parts of the session. She even welcomed our two dogs without missing a beat! Having everything done in the comfort of my own home made it that much more special, personal, and stress-free. We absolutely loved having these milestone moments captured in our own space, surrounded by all the things that make our family ours. If you're looking for someone to document this fleeting, irreplaceable season of life with care, artistry, and a whole lot of heart, look no further than Chasing Hiromi. These are photos I will cherish forever. Thank you, Janice :)

On top of that, she even snuck my husband and me away for a few private photos, which I didn't expect but absolutely loved. Janice was wonderful at directing us without making anything feel stiff or awkward. She made the whole session feel easy and fun, and the kids stayed engaged the entire time (a small miracle). The photos turned out beautifully, and we genuinely enjoyed the process. Also, the turnaround time for delivery of photos was even faster than she estimated. We can't wait to work with her again and would recommend her to any family looking for someone patient, talented, and great with kids (and pets!).

It began with a virtual consultation with Nadine and Sofia to go over the details of the photoshoot and next steps. Since I am pregnant and also have two boys, I wanted the photoshoot to be special by capturing our growing family. We decided on a maternity and family holiday photoshoot, which included variety of backgrounds and outfits. The next step was scheduling a in-person fitting prior yo the shoot to try on a few dresses. Sofia put together a styling sheet and provided suggestions on what to wear for my family to coordinate nicely. Sofia also provided a timeline on the day of the shoot, which was very helpful. As a busy pregnant working mom, the best thing about this entire experience was getting professional hair and makeup done at the studio! Shoutout to artist Veronica for making me feel and look my best. I have done two sunrise family photoshoots in the past, and I absolutely do not have the energy, time, or desire to get ready on my own. I also had a maternity in-studio photoshoot done last year, I had to go get makeup and hair done in two different places, then drive an hour, which by then my curls were no longer holding. Not at Sachiko Studios, they will take care of you from beginning to end, and you will feel fresh. After getting hair and makeup done, we did a quick maternity photoshoot session. My family met us at the studio and we did the holiday photoshoot. The in-studio photos of our family portraits turned out lovely. For outdoor shoot, we drove to Bradbury's Bridge, which was about 15 min away. I loved the fall and natural backdrops. Having the option of doing an outdoor photoshoot was great because it captured our active kids candidly. Nadine was so great with my kids! She was able to capture my youngest looking happy and all smiles. She rewarded my oldest for being good at following directions.

My photo session included hair and makeup by one of Nadine's stylists, Quendy (highly recommend!!) and wardrobe! That really helped because my closet consists of leggings and sweaters lol. We did 3 outfit changes, Nadine shot some of my products, and action shots with a model. Nadine made the whole experience very comfortable and fun for someone who is *really* shy and prefers to stay behind the camera. I love how my photos came out and excited for another photo session in the future!

She's not even the manager and yet she's doing so much work. Whoever the manager of this location is, or whoever is in charge, needs to give Remington a raise for all the tasks that she was doing! Also, prior to my photos I overheard her getting sassed by people that obviously have no respect for retail or customer service employees and she handled them like a champ because I would've deleted their photos on the spot and thrown them out for the way they were acting and I'm sure they weren't the first or only people that treat these employees that way either by the looks of some of these reviews. My photos were great and Remington was very polite and helpful despite having to deal with mean people prior. Either she gets a raise or she should get a job where the clientele respect her and their staffed appropriately

Here's some inside info that applies to all JCP Portraits:…read more Once u get here prepared to be rushed, upsold to, and 9/10, working with an inexperienced photographer no matter what time of year. Once in the camera room... PRAY the photographer is good with posing. And kids? You have a 50/50 chance the photographer has the patience and skill to work with them. This company prioritizes people who will comply over skill. They hire young people who have never used a camera, as long as they can pretend to know what they're doing. Prepare to feel rushed. Especially during their cash grab "events", weekends, and holiday seasons. They have a 15 min time limit no matter what age, disability, or group size...unless u pay a fee for more time. Thats on top of $15 per person. And of course, not an option during Xmas season, their busiest time of year. EXPERT ADVICE!! if u chose to gamble your money on Xmas photos here: request the manager take ur pics and go in early November for best results. The company trains you not to care about the customer's budget. Just try to ask them about pricing or coupons before the session lol they train to never talk about prices until after the photos are done. And they can NEVER offer the customer coupons. Workers are there to upsell u at all costs. But Don't worry they make $5 commission on the almost $400 package. Another tip: check out their GROUPON OFFERS haha they hate those bc they're harder to upsell you on they're genuinely good deals. This company doesn't care about their own workers, let alone your family's memories. They constantly overbook during their Xmas season and it makes everyone, including the customer, stressed out. Please consider taking your business elsewhere. The world would be a better place without companies like this existing. No one benefits but the corporate overlords. Eat a "stick".

My husband and I were surprised with how good the photos turned out. Owen guided us on poses, so do not worry if you don't have any experience in front of a camera like us. I appreciate his attention to detail (notifying us of stray hairs, etc.) and he was respectful for my family who wanted a group photo. Not to mention, he's really humorous with his pop culture references; that definitely broke the ice and allowed us to be more at ease. I also want to highlight that he works incredibly fast and presented the finished products just a few days after our shoot! Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look
