I am so grateful of the entire experience and happy with how our family photos turned out! I chose the premium holiday in-studio and outdoor package. It began with a virtual consultation with Nadine and Sofia to go over the details of the photoshoot and next steps. Since I am pregnant and also have two boys, I wanted the photoshoot to be special by capturing our growing family. We decided on a maternity and family holiday photoshoot, which included variety of backgrounds and outfits. The next step was scheduling a in-person fitting prior yo the shoot to try on a few dresses. Sofia put together a styling sheet and provided suggestions on what to wear for my family to coordinate nicely. Sofia also provided a timeline on the day of the shoot, which was very helpful. As a busy pregnant working mom, the best thing about this entire experience was getting professional hair and makeup done at the studio! Shoutout to artist Veronica for making me feel and look my best. I have done two sunrise family photoshoots in the past, and I absolutely do not have the energy, time, or desire to get ready on my own. I also had a maternity in-studio photoshoot done last year, I had to go get makeup and hair done in two different places, then drive an hour, which by then my curls were no longer holding. Not at Sachiko Studios, they will take care of you from beginning to end, and you will feel fresh. After getting hair and makeup done, we did a quick maternity photoshoot session. My family met us at the studio and we did the holiday photoshoot. The in-studio photos of our family portraits turned out lovely. For outdoor shoot, we drove to Bradbury's Bridge, which was about 15 min away. I loved the fall and natural backdrops. Finally came to a place in my business where I felt like I needed some professional branding photos. My business is ALL me and I needed help capturing what I do to launch on my website. Loved our newborn photoshoot with Nadine! Her studio was beautiful and cozy. Initially, I was very anxious because I had my baby a week before the photoshoot but Nadine made us feel very comfortable. Nadine is amazing. She is our family photographer. We hire her for all our shoots. So of course we did a Mother's day shoot with her and her team. What a great experience! I took my Mom and my girls and we got our makeup done. There were two great makeup people there giving us a very nice treat. My teens love their style and enjoyed the pampering of their eyes, cheeks, and lips. They looked beautiful but not overdone. I had my makeup done too and looked great. My Mom who did not get her make-up done needed a quick refresh on her lips and they were so sweet to help her out. They gave her a little bit of color and rosy cheeks. Once we were ready, my boys joined us and we did a quick family shoot and then my Mom jumped in. It was so much fun. We laughed and had a variety of poses to choose from. I've never been a fan of having my photo taken, but Nadine made the whole experience pleasant and even fun! She even helped me brainstorm possible outfits and how to coordinate with my partner by sending sample photos of what would look good. This style help was much appreciated! BEWARE! Charges 25% PRIVACY FEE! HIDDEN IN CONTRACT!!! if you do not consent to photographer deciding to post your photos (in this case of a little girl) "on Instagram, Facebook Pinterest, with other photographers, potential clients, clients," etc. etc. etc. -- everywhere -- "A 25% privacy fee will be charged. Privacy fee is 25% of the entire shoot cost." EXACT WORDS OF THE CONTRACT. HIDDEN IN THE MIDDLE. I found this out only because I happened to read the entire contract, something most people don't do. WATCH OUT! As you can see, I don't post reviews, positive or negative. I only consult yelp for assistance, not to give my two cents. But this one takes the cake, and I feel compelled to protect you, the consumer. I've had amazing experiences with other local photographers, and only consulted this photographer because she was able to accommodate a last-minute request. I talked several times to her assistant because she didn't understand -- or more likely was instructed to "over sell" me a package -- when all l I needed was head shots. I was pressed for time so agreed to work with her. Thankfully, only for headshots (overpriced, but again, I was pressed for time.) I also agreed to pay an outrageous price for a few files. I was looking forward to the photo shoot. The photographer sounded nice, so I was willing to bite the bullet and surrender my wallet. After all, I was desperate to get this done on a short timeline. But then, literally in the 11th hour, I read..... She charges an additional 25% OF THE ENTIRE CONTRACT -- for a PRIVACY FEE!!! Agree to spend hundreds of dollars just so that your child's face/body won't be plastered all over the internet? NOOOO THANK YOU!!!!!! I've never heard of such a thing. Anywhere! And I only found out about it in the 11th hour. Because I happened to read the entire contract sent to me -- after discussing and "inking" *all* the details of the shoot -- down to outfit -- with the photographer personally. I sure dodged a bullet. I hope you do, too. Perhaps I should charge a "privacy fee" for this truth to stay hidden inside her contract? No, I'd rather protect you, the consumer. SHAME ON SACHITO! This is a review update-- I can't say enough that getting your photos done by Nadine and Benson is the way to go. Over the years, I've done portraits, a sibling shoot, and many car shoots. Most recently, I took home a 2019 Miata and I wanted to celebrate this a number of ways, one of which being a car shoot with Nadine. We had a relaxed, impromptu-feeling session outdoors at a local place with an amazing background-- only Nadine would know these things! It was a gigantic painted collage behind a little ice cream (?) shop that contrasted so much with my little white Roadster. We had a newborn session with sachiko-studio. You have the option of going into her studio or an at home session. We opted for the in studio session. Nadine was very flexible as our little one arrived sooner than expected and so, she accommodated us with new time sessions. Her studio was neat, clean and sanitized. Everyone was very professional and wore masks. A makeup artist was also there to do my hair and makeup. She did a great job. I haven't had my face and hair done so nicely since my wedding. I've worked with Nadine from Sachiko Studio on several occasions. Events include photoshoots for Drifting Pretty individual packages and group/class photoshoots as well as at our racing/track day and car show events. Outside of Drifting Pretty matters, I've also witnessed Sachiko Studio photographing for Pauline P's cooking channel launch. Her photos have been nothing short of impressive, and I'm certain Sachiko Studio's work will always exceed expectations. What I've found in working with Nadine is that she's very easy to talk with and really listens to her clients' wants. She also continues this communication throughout her shoot.
