We were able to explore about 6 different looks and I was provided with such great support, help, consideration and flexibility. They were constantly making sure I felt comfortable and seen as a priority! To start I'm a first time Mom and my baby was born a week late and is well a bit on the larger size. Not to mention I'm not super organized so I didn't book my newborn shoots till my baby was 3 weeks old. I was worried he would be a bit too fussy or rambunctious to get the classic sleepy newborn pose. When we showed up and got settled sure enough he started to fuss. Kamilah was so incredibly patient and kind. She warmed up a bottle for me and even rocked him herself. Next thing I knew he was swaddled, expertly I might add, and ready for his first photo shoot. Although he never drifted off to sleep, what followed over the next hour was a beautiful, fun and peaceful shoot. He was a big ham in front of Kamilah's camera. Throughout the shoot Kamilah talked to my baby and told him he was handsome and was just such a lovely sweet person. The photos came out beautifully. I can't say enough good things about Little Arrows Photography. Kamilah was really lovely to work with for our newborn shoot; she was very kind and gentle with our son, so much so that he slept through pretty much the entire session. He didn't mind getting posed at all! It made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable for us as well, since we weren't stressed about him being fussy or uncooperative. The pictures she took were beautiful and really captured what we want to remember about this moment in time - our son's dimples, the way he likes to lay with his hands above his head, his cute little toes. Immediately I emailed Kamilah asking when her next available spot was, and left it for a few days waiting to hear back. I then called and it went through to voicemail. I left a message. I have since left five voicemail messages and contacted her twice using the template on her website, and again, have had zero response. The first time I reached out to her was almost three weeks ago, and even though I have purchased the shoot, I have not heard one word back. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. So many newborn photography seems to employ lots of big, fussy props and costumes, which I did not want. Kamilah was quick to respond to my call and was able to book our session within a few days. Not only is she lovely to work with, totally patient, and a baby whisperer, she did an amazing job with the photo editing and finishing on our photo session with our son. What were already great photos look even better. So glad we did this and so glad we found Kamilah. Our baby was 3 weeks old, and had just gotten off a long car nap (it's the only way to survive in the car seat for us...) so he didn't sleep through everything, but we managed to get amazing awake shots and a few incredible sleepy ones at the end.
