I very happy with my newborn and family photos. I felt like all of my request were met. The only thing I regret was not requesting more, there are so many props and different styles. My two year old was also difficult, so I am glad that we were able to get some nice pictures of everyone. What a great experience! Walking into this place is like going into a candy store for parents. You want everything!! You your child to wear all the costumes and use all the props! They have so many great selections for both male and female babies. I was amazed just how much work goes into setting them up. I like how they create a safe space for newborns. The room is warm, the have a shusher to help ease the babies into a sleep, and they take their time to get the shot. Plus they have coffee and the snacks for the parents!!! 5+++Stars! From our initial email conversations, Joanna was a photographer after our own hearts. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan and once I mentioned a Star Wars themed newborn shoot, Joanna and her husband Bao (also fans) went above and beyond to secure the perfect props! Firstly - such a beautiful name for the business.. That's what drew my attention to the page! 'Nestled in time'!! For me, Good photographs are some of the best things in life that capture the beauty of the special moment and let the memory live forever! And I'm always on the look out for a great photographer who can do that for us.. Like I said, I was intrigued by the name of the business at first and saw Joanna Law's photographs of Newborns (and this was waaay before I even got pregnant,ha!). I've seen her work from time to time ever since.. (Believe me, I do my homework!) I have to admit, we did speak to a lot of Photographers before we fianlized on nestled in time. We found Joanna's photo styles closest to what I really wanted (and yay! she does maternity photoshoots too thankfully!) and She's very upfront about the services and pricing when you get in touch with her. Everyone has their own Budget and its good professionalism to be upfront about the Prices the photographer charges for their services. I'm mentioning this because I came across a couple of professinals quote less - but have hidden surprises like "INVESTMENTS" in their rates... So u end up paying 5-8 times more than you originally want to..(please please READ everyone's contracts/Fine Prints before you book them) Oh right - this is about Joanna :).. Here are some Pros about her professionalism - Quick to respond - She explains her process and the results very clearly (i had a loot of questions, and she was happy to answer them all!) - very upfront about pricing and terms - a great portfolio on her website (which is so important!) - super friendly and jolly personality.. very easy to communicate with And all this was before I even met her. Sooo worth the investment! We originally only booked them to do our Newborn Photo Shoot. We are both camera shy and had not planned to do any maternity pictures, but after thinking about it decided to get them done too. So happy we did! The pictures turned out amazing! No double chins and large arms!! I had mentioned how self conscious I was feeling with the extra weight and chins I had gained during the pregnancy. This is a small photography studio that has big studio quality. We needed a Mother's Day photo shoot as a gift to my wife, but of course, I started looking for a studio the week before. Joanna Law (the owner) responded quickly and was able to give us a slot at the end of a very busy day. Leading up to the appointment, Joanna called me and worked out all the details. Even though we were slightly late to our appointment, she and her husband gave us all the time we paid for. During the session, our kids needed some motivation to smile. Joanna and Bao had all the toys needed to do so. After the session, Joanna got me the sample images online through a private gallery. From there, we realized we wanted to upgrade our package to include more pictures and Joanna allowed us to do by merely paying the difference. Although it took some time, it was well worth the wait because the pictures came out AMAZING and I can't stop looking at the images of my beautiful family. I am absolutely happy with the product and would recommend this studio to anyone looking for family portraits in the greater Los Angeles area (and beyond). Be mindful of the following: 1. It's a small studio run by two people. It will take some time get your photos edited after a session. Be patient. 2. The price is expensive but well worth it. Joanna joyfully received us at the front door of the building and escorted us to her quaint studio. As we were getting settled, my son became fussy and needed to nurse. Staff (service): Joanna was very accommodating, professional and friendly. She didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't want and was very attentive to what I had in mind. Being an artist, she made some great suggestions to bring my ideas to life. During the photoshoot Joanna and Bao were very knowledgeable in posing people and lighting. They also brought props for our theme. Product (pictures): When I first received the pictures online I was amazed how they were able to capture those sweet moments in the photoshoot. The lighting, the props, the clarity and the overall quality of the pictures came together flawlessly. But one thing is having pictures on the computer and another is to have the actual picture in hand. So through Joanna's recommendation we went ahead and used her printing services. When the cards arrived, my wife and I were so touched by the pictures because not only they looked exactly like they were in the computer but those sweet moments will forever be remembered. I observed my friend's kids photo session. And back in my day my parents only had Sears studios to capture my childhood cuteness. But Nestled In Time photography blew me away with how amazing a newborn/toddler photo session can be! First: super cute studio! Very organized and clean! (But not like a sanitary medical office.)This studio is comfortable and relaxing. There is a couch that could easily fit 3 adults. And the windows offer the perfect amount of natural lighting! Snacks and water are also provided. Second: there are lots of super cute outfits and accessories to choose from! Not only do Joanna and Bao get my own approval on these gorgeous graduation photos, their work also got an entire flood of #momtears to fill both a proud mama's heart and living room wall!!! After a last minute session, they were professional, creative, fun, and flexible in capturing a very important milestone in both of my brother and I's lives.
