My baby was 5 days old and I had a stroke before delivered her.. it was impossible for me to pick up the pictures so my mom went and pay for 4 more pictures The quality of the pictures are bad you can see They look blurry with brown strips and yellowish.. If I could I would give this place no stars for terrible customer service . I have been a resident of El Monte for all of my life and I grew up next to this place. I have been a customer here since I was in elementary school. The girl who says she is the manager is rude. She has attitude and she raised her voice and was sarcastic when I asked her if I could get in contact with the owner. She basically told me good luck email to cellpix@yahoo.com. I went in and out an order for one hour photos I waited one hour and a half and they told me to wait another hour the machine was broken. I called to speak to manager and asked her for a refund because it was past an hour and said no refunds they will be ready in ten mins. I told her I just came in 5 min ago and the male said an hour. She said she wasn't going to refund me because she just did my pictures herself, if that's the case why was I told another hour? If they told me ten min I could have waited, but I was told an hour and that is why I wanted a refund. But she was very rude, sarcastic, and had attitude with me. Instead ad of that she could have said "I'm sorry I apologize but actually it's going to be done now is that okay?". I would have said girl no problem yes. That's how you talk to people. Came back for my photos and the color is off. It has a yellow hue to it. You can get better copies at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc and you don't have to deal with the rude "manager" here. The older female with blonde hair and thick eyelashes, she wears a lot of makeup. Be cautious if you want to come here because if you are not satisfied on how you spent your hard earned money here, the "manager" is of no help, is rude, and this place doesn't give refunds if you're not satisfied. read more

I give this place a two stars only because of the two female employees that work here. It's a hit or miss with their attitude. We spend money to support a business and the least they can do is treat us with respect. The package deal comes with 3 pictures which is a great deal for the price. However, when I came in to choose my pictures they give you a variety of different photos to choose from(also very convenient) you get so excited to view the photos that it takes some time for view them all and choose from so many options. When I went in other two customers came in after me and the third customers had to wait a little bit so either me or the other customer can finish choosing our photos since their was no other space for the third customer to choose theirs. The ladies that work their came over and tried to rush me to choose the pictures and didn't sound so polite. They act as if they own the place and need to work on their hospitality. I'm sure the owner can replace them with other workers.. unless he chooses not to do so because it's more work for them. read more

I decided to develop some old film as a Christmas present for my parents. I researched several businesses before finding 1hr photo digital. But when I called and got my questions quickly answered, I knew my search was over. Everyone I spoke to was polite and valued my time as their customer. Not to mention, each time I was there, I looked like a hot mess, asked tons of questions and all with a fussy toddler on my hip; but they were patient with me nonetheless. Their film process is simple. They require a small deposit for the film that you drop off with them and it's ready after 2pm the next day. Most places I called wouldn't have had my film ready for one to two weeks. My 35 mm 24 exposure film cost only $10 to develop which is about $7-$10cheaper than other film developers that I spoke to. Other places charge $7 for the negatives and an additional 25-35¢ per exposure. Once you pick up your film, you pay the remainder of your fee and you're good to go. A downfall is where the business is located. It's a busy shopping center and parking can be hard to find. If you Come during rush hour, traffic can be a pain. Second, there really isn't anyway to tell if a film roll has been used or not, twice I made a Trip down to the shop only to be told that My film was blank/never used. I learned to call and check on the exposures before making a trip down there. Besides those small inconveniences I'm thankful to have found this place and I look forward to continue utilizing their business!! read more

However, I absolutely loved my newborn/sibling session. Both ladies had so much patience with both my babies (NB & 9yr old). 100% recommend, it is not often when you can pay for quality and quantity at an affordable price. I decided to go to CVS first because I usually go there to get my passport photos. There was only one person running the cashier and the photo area when I went in the afternoon. There was a guy who was in front of me getting his passport photo done as well. He asked the cashier if he could have additional prints (since it only came 2 photos) and the cashier said that he had to pay additional fees if he wanted more photos. For 2 photos it was $12.99. While I was waiting I remembered that there was a photo shop just a couple of stores down from CVS. I decided to check that place out and was in and out within 10-15 minutes! I received a total of 6 photos and it was only $10! The lady was nice and very helpful. They also do fliers for birthdays, quinceanera, pregnancy photo shoots, graduation, and much much more. If I could put no stars I would. Let me just start with the disgusting attitude the photographer has. As I was on my way to my session I got a call from them asking if I was going to go because I didn't arrive 15 minutes before (traffic happens what can someone do about it?) and I had told the girl on the phone that I was on my way and I told her my ETA was at the exact time that my session starts and she said ok see you here. As I'm 2 minutes away I get a message that my session was canceled I drove 45 minutes. I get to the studio (not very a very nice studio they should remodel it it's kinda ghetto and the workers match the vibe of the studio too.) As I get there the guy receptionist hands me a paper to fill out and as my sister was filling it out the photographer comes from the back and with an attitude tells me "your appointment was canceled" first off umm great your customer? There was no need for her to have an attitude first off. Then I asked her if she can take away the minutes I was late from the hour session. She then told me with an attitude "no and first off it's not an hour it's 45 minutes" funny bc the name of the business and the sign outside say "1 hr photos" lol. Then i asked her well can you take some pictures at least with the time left ? And she told me no that she had to set up for the next baby. That didn't make sense because how are you gonna set up for the next baby while those 45 minutes were for the session I booked ? Anyways she then snatched the paper from my sisters hand as she was filling it out and she said don't even fill this out I'm not gonna take the pictures I'm not gonna argue with you" I wasn't even arguing or had an attitude so idk what her problem was she was pro on her rag but judging by the reviews it seems like she's on it every day because multiple people have complained about her attitude should've read these before I went! If you don't like your job then don't work there lol especially if you're gonna be working with kids and babies with that ugly ass attitude. As a business owner I have dealt with all kinds of customers and attitudes and there's a professional way to speak to someone which is something the worker at this place needs to work on. read more

I remember back in the day i went there when i was in high school to take pictures with my friends and it wasn't expensive at all and the packages would come with so many pictures!! Ok-so at first I wasn't too sure about going to a 1hr Photo to do some photo shots BUT I was so pleased with the results! The young woman was awesome with my 10 week old baby and was able to get at least 6 different good poses within 10 minutes(if that)! The prices are VERY reasonable. Although they have a variety of backgrounds-it would be nice if they were of higher quality-but hey- it's still a 1hr Photo spot- so to some extent-you're still getting what you pay for. Bad customer service, I had my sons passport pictures taken there and the employee was so rude to my son telling him that he was not a baby to be crying and she got him to cry more and still took the pictures they didn't give me a refund or a discount to come back :( now I have to go somewhere else to retake his picture I wouldn't take my children there again. read more
