The hair and makeup artist was able to follow my vague instructions and helped customized my overall look, including jewelry choices. She also stayed throughout the shoot for touch-ups, and even helped with posing. Sam's knows what angles to shoot and which lighting works. He guided us through the poses and was able to wrap up our shoot earlier than estimated even though I usually find myself very awkward in front of the camera. I also appreciated that they provide all of the digital files, including the 500+ raw ones. When I wasn't a fan of the initial editing style, Sam was very receptive to my feedback and revised the photos quickly. The reason for 4 stars is the communication. During the consultation, I was hoping for more guidance on ideas since I didn't have a clear vision. I was just shown his portfolio on his tablet and quietly scrolled in front of him. Absolutely amazing and affordable. We had our son's 6 month old photos here and they turned out amazing. The session was quick, our photographer was extremely professional and knew what to do to make our 6 month old laugh and smile. Her props were spot on and came together really well without thinking much into it and the photos and props came out seamlessly and perfectly. We had a scene with a piano, a boat in a beach scene, a swing, and standard white background. We had to upgrade to obtain all the photos because that was just how good the photos came out and couldn't choose just a few. I would say it is absolutely worth the experience at an affordable price point. Prior to this, we took newborn photos at our house with a celebrity photographer and I have to say with absolute certainty that the photos that came out of Pretty Pixels were 100x better. Will be coming back for the 1 year shoot and more at each milestone. I am thankful to have such great photos for our baby. Spending on quality photos for your baby is priceless. They will never be that small again and I can say that without a doubt, we loved that they captured this moment in time for our son. read more

i was really impressed with their work and especially their photographer Laura. She was Amazing, she knows whats shes doing, it was worth the money spent and the time especially. I was really amazed how laura took her time with my 3 wk old nephew, she was really patient and very caring. We actually had to take my nephew a second time cause of course a newborn sets his own schedule and got a lil fussy even tough Laura did her best to keep him comfortable. the second time we took him she got more amazing shots, and was very precautions about my nephews safety, and making sure he was kept warm while being naked. When i got the end result of the pictures, as we viewed them i was just pleased 100% with her work. We had to buy more sheets cause she had captured many amazing shoots. If you have a newborn for sure i recommend her to be your photographer. i been to other places with other newborns in the family and their work was wack.... I had an appointment at 3pm and arrived 15 minutes early. They took me in right in time considering the many customers they had. The photographer was very good on making my baby smile and even laugh. She did seem a little rushed but at the end I thought the pictures came out very nice and so did everyone else. They asked me to come back the next day to pick up the pictures and when I arrived, the pictures were ready. There was no waiting time. read more

came here from a friends recommendation. I have a baby girl and I shot her newborn pictures at jcpenny. I'd say the photographers know what they're doing way more here than at jcpenny. they were really great with Bibi and did quite a bit to get her to smile. really attentive and nice overall.
