My waxer was also sitting with them, engaging in what I felt was an inappropriate conversation. Based on the tone and comments being made, it was clear there was frustration, which made me uncomfortable as a first-time client. I arrived two minutes after my scheduled appointment time and was informed there was a nine-minute grace period. Despite this, I was asked to wait and then waited almost three additional minutes before being taken to the room. This was confusing, as it appeared the waxer was available, and it made me feel as though I was late or inconveniencing the staff, which was not the case. This was my first time ever getting waxed and my first visit to a European Wax Center. I explained multiple times that I was nervous. While my waxer, Mariah, was okay overall, her patience with me was very limited. I did not feel reassured or supported, which made the experience more stressful than it needed to be. After my service, I was brought to the front to pay and asked about leaving a tip. I declined, as I was not satisfied with my experience. In response, I heard an "oop" from my waxer and another staff member. I found this comment to be rude and unprofessional. That moment significantly impacted my overall experience, bringing it from a 7 down to a 4. Due to this experience, I will not be returning, nor will I be visiting any wax center in the future. I saw the owner offering more than hair services to her clients . It's one thing to offer talent , but when your customer service and natural love for people is added it's an experience that anyone would pay for . My massage specialist Tia was excellent, very intentional and awesome personality. I will be booking her once a month now . Her respect for the owner and how she runs her business speaks volume. I shared with her that it was the owner that made me book the appointment. As an entrepreneur myself I know what it takes to run a successful business and it's not always easy . First, I was asked to pay before receiving my service. This is unlike anything I have ever experienced, but I paid after being reassured that the techs do a good job. First, the place is dirty. It does not seem to have ever been deep-cleaned. The nail techs who were not busy were sitting on a manicure desk, eating sunflower seeds. They were spitting the shells onto a white towel. The same towels they use for clients. I told them sunflower seeds had fallen on the floor and they shrugged their shoulders. My pedicure tech was decent. Her polish job was terrible, though. She did not clean my cuticles, so the polish looked raggedy, almost as if I did it myself in a rush. The drying bar is outfitted with old, decrepit drying fans from the 90s, not even UV lights, and the bar is not large enough for more than 2 thin people or 1 plus-size person. I don't recommend this plus, even if you are in a bind. Go across the street. Down the street. To New York. Atlanta. Hawaii. Russia. Pluto. Go anywhere but here.
