Therefore, staff attitudes are aloof and indifferent to questions, concerns or requests. Speaking kindly, slowly and courteously didn't improve my experience. I got a sugar scrub pedicure, and the technician rubbed so hard that she cut me in two places on one foot, which was normal before the pedicure. I told her she hurt me and showed her, and she blew me off. I had to start antibiotics because the cuts were starting to get infected and painful despite antibiotic cream that I put on immediately when I get home. I also got a manicure, the same technician didn't want to help me get the toe separators off despite my nails being wet. I came here with my two swollen pregnant feet that I can't touch anymore in desperate need of a pedicure. I figured they were pretty booked on the weekends based on reviews so I came during the week during what I presume is non peak time. I called to see if there was availability before I came and there was. They check your temperature before you come in, and make you sign a waiver/acknowledgement (something COVID related). Then you have to wash your hands as soon as you come in. Masks are required of course. There are shields at each station and hanging shields from the pedicure chairs. All of this combined with less people being present, it's safe to say I felt comfortable and COVID is taken seriously. It's been over two weeks and my pedicure is still in tact! Winner winner! The pedicure was exactly how I wanted in terms of nail shape and length cut down. Also, the massage was delightful. I hate paying for "extra massage" and not feeling like I didn't get much extra. My nails are HORRIBLE. Every since new management took over, the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. I got my gel mani and regular pedi on Tuesday and look at my nails! They will definitely not make it the normal two weeks. AND my nails were made way too thin by use of drill to sand down nails instead of soaking. Second time having bad experience. Last time spending over $100 (including tip) to have my nails ruined! In the pics you will see: shoddy application of top coat; red specs from my old polish that was drilled away embedded into the top coat; air bubbles in top coat; and sloppy application of polish. I didn't even get into how the FIRST "esthetician" (and I use that term loosely) did not know what she was doing and was in the process of giving me the worst pedicure in my life. The second esthetician had to come and redo what first should've heaven doing. So not only was my experience unnecessarily prolonged, it was also uncomfortable because I had to advocate for myself to ensure that I got good service. No one spending their hard earned money on a service should have to argue to get that service provided to them in a manner that is the industry standard! read more

This salon serves as my 2nd choice when I can't get my nails done back home (Baltimore County) and what a wonderful 2nd choice it is! I've had little to no problems here. The longest I've waited is 10 minutes (granted I go early afternoon during the week). All of the nail techs are friendly. The place is decently clean. The woman that did my pedi was great and painted all corners of my toes. I hate seeing that a portion of my nails weren't painted and I'll pick at it constantly so luckily I didn't even have to ask if they can go back and make sure. For my SNS I had someone different. I guess the woman that did my pedi doesn't do SNS which was ok. I ended up with Mia and she did such an amazing job! My nails were shaped perfect and my SNS looks thin and natural. I went in on Thursday a little after five for a full set of a acrylic and a basic pedicure. Both gel color. My total was $95.00 total time 1hr 50mins. All my work was done by Tim. My pedicure was very basic quick massage was over before I knew it started and there was no lotion application.m when the pedicure was completed. They should add hot towel to the basic pedicure since they're pricey and sell themselves as a spa experience. During my pedi he offered me a beverage to which I answered wine- some other lady who was trying to get me to do SNS told him no, water. Alright whatever. I'm not going to be pressed about a glass of wine. Still- where is this spa experience? And why are you in the mix? I am posting my bails before and after. During my application Tim was able to reapply a nail that was severely lifted (short nail probs) he did a great job fixing it . He also fixed some nails that were off to the side the best he could. More attention when applying the false nails would have prevented this. He did a fine job making them thin and the length I wanted. At the end no little massage or lotion....Where is this spa experience? Overall I just wanted to it to be over, my left hand middle finger nail is slightly slanted...3 stars My roommate has gone 3 times and gives it 5 stars. Very different experience. read more

I had an appointment (highly recommend) with Justin. A glass of wine and an hour later, lovely stiletto ombre pink & chrome nails. Now, to be fair, my nails were savage when i went in. I'd returned from a long business trip with six broken nails and a bad back! To get myself together, I wanted to try a new shop and found this one on yelp. I got a dip powder manicure by Tim (second row from the back on the far right...closest to the aisle) He failed to put a full base coat of powder on the first layer causing my nails to only chip on the corners. 3 hours after i left my appointment the first nail cracked in the corner. One week later, 5 nails have cracked in the corner and the chrome has started coming off of the accent nails. A waste of $50 (not including $12 tip i gave him) I previously went to Kelly who no longer works there and never had this issue. I've gone to Keven twice now, and I have found my nail tech! He is very fun and bubbly and jokes a lot during his service. He takes pictures of his work, which is a first for me, but to me that just shows that he is proud of his work. (As he should be). The shop is very clean an tidy. The equipment is high quality and up to date. They greet you the moment you walk through the door and also validate your garage parking. I appreciate that Keven listens to what I am saying and gives me the style that I want. I told him that I wanted a more natural looking full set and he introduced me to the dip powder set. MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE SAME!!! I love this set, even though it takes longer than acrylic, the payoff is worth it. Above all else, this has to be one of the most budget friendly shops in the area. Another update. AMAZING!! I absolutely love my nails, yet again! Almost all my previous experiences at PG Nails were with Justin. Since Justin was out I took time to read reviews and seen a number of people reviewing Kevin's work so I requested a appointment with him and let me say, he did AMAZING! I showed Kevin a picture of what I wanted and he picked out the exact color match and confirmed with me before starting. Pink and white ombré is my typical go to and Kevin suggested a design finger, which I am not really a design girl but I decided why not. I let him work and Kevin created such a beautiful set of nails! I did not have a design idea to offer so I let him decide and I'm so happy I did, I sat back and relaxed! I don't think my picture does justice to be honest. The shape of my nails, amazing and perfect! The pink to white ratio in my ombré, perfect! The design, simply beautiful! Some nail artist/ technicians just don't get it right but Kevin nailed it! In regards today COVID, they take your temperature upon entry and ask you to wash your hands before sitting, which is great btw and they also have barriers between you and the nail artist/ technician. I read a lot of reviews of people saying they were told to wait outside or got there for their apt and had to wait. I didn't have any of those issues. I came right on time for apt and he was ready for me, there was no wait if you are on time for your appointment. Thanks Kevin!!! Can't wait until next time! I want to start this review by clarifying that I never make google or yelp reviews on places I visit. I have experienced poor service before and yet never felt so moved to write a review online. I avoid doing so because I would hate to be a reason that a small business missed out due to a misstep. However, this experience was particularly horrible. I made an appointment at a specific time at the salon and was not seen for over 30+ minutes. Then when I was seen, Kevin (my nail tech that day), asked me what I wanted. I showed him a picture and he said he would be able to do it. It was a simple design tbh. During my pedicure he did not shaped my nails properly at all. Some of my toes had completely wonky shapes after he cut them and filed them. He also did not paint them fully. I politely asked if he could paint the empty spaces on my toes. He denied that there were any empty spaces. I didn't feel like making a big deal, so I didn't say anything else. Then we went over for him to work on my manicure acrylic full set. When he said he was finished with the filing and shaping, they were all different shapes and sizes across my ten fingers so I politely asked if he could match my fingers. He got extremely pissy and rude with me, as though I insulted him or something. I need to emphasize that I am extremely mild mannered and polite, especially when it comes to getting a service done because I know how stressful the job is. I also have never had to ask a nail tech to match my nail shapes as they knew it was part of the service we pay for. It's absurd that I even had to ask so many times (calmly and respectfully, for this basic part of the service to be completed). After he finally fixed my nails after me asking him politely multiple times, he rudely told me to go away and wash my hands and that he refused to do the design on my nails for me. I then asked him why he couldn't do the design any longer and if there was someone else who would be willing to do so. He completely ignored me and starting speaking about me poorly in Vietnamese to his coworkers. He gave me dirty glares and spoke to me with a disgustingly rude and inappropriate tone during my entire visit. He then said he has no time to do my design, even though he saw me over 30 minutes late. This also turned out to be a lie because I saw him sitting and doing nothing for 30 minutes as I waited for my ride to come. At the end of my visit I was up-charged. I absolutely did not leave a tip, as my treatment was unacceptable. I usually tip big to nail techs because I appreciate their work and how difficult the job is. I went there for a nice relaxing spa day as I work in a hospital throughout the week. I felt extremely tense, disrespected, and stressed out the entire visit. I actually teared up during the visit and a fellow kind patron comforted me. She witnessed what occurred and reassured me that I was incredibly kind and polite and did not deserve such poor treatment. None of the other nail techs I spoke to at the salon even responded to me when I asked them simple polite questions. They acted like I did not exist. It ruined my day and I had plans to go elsewhere which I canceled after my visit because I was in a horrible mood for the rest of the day due to my mistreatment. I will not be visiting this salon again and I recommend that if you do take the risk of visiting, you do NOT pick KEVIN. read more
