tonight they get two stars. after calling in the pizza order for delivery and being told that it would take 40 minutes i received a call from them 50 minutes later asking me what town i lived in. there is a town next to mine that has the same name street as mine. so, apparently, he got lost. he arrived 25 minutes from delivery time. i had told them i did not want cold pizza. they assured me that it wouldn't be. when it arrived, it was luke warm and got cold quickly. the crust developed the consistency of cardboard. my family wound up just taking the toppings off and eating that. not a good meal for a friday night. we called and complained about this and were told that a manager would call us back. didn't happen. not ordering from there anytime soon. read more

Wow I can't believe I found this place. Having been born and raised in New York, pizza is an art form to me so I was apprehensive but thoroughly surprised and delighted. The aroma caught me as I walked by. I ventured in and ordered their slice. Absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced sauce, tasty and a little chewy with just the right amount of crispness on the crust. Cheese was fresh and superb. The staff was friendly and fast. They didn't hound me for payment, I sat down Snd they said they'd bring the pizza to me which I liked. The owner personally cones over yo greet you and the manager is smart and rubs the restaurant like a well oiled machine but does it with a smile. I have been back here every week since then. I'm addicted to their pizza varieties ( they have tons of varieties or choose your own and they'll make it). I look forward to coming to the restaurant if only to be greeted by everyone. I ventured out to the main menu and definitely would recommend any dish. The meat is superb. Truly a great place to dine with or without friends. read more

I had a few friends over for football Sunday. Order some wings, pizza, some calamari and had it delivered. 1st i'm not even a big fan of brick oven pizza so I won't comment on it. But the wings were average nothing crazy. The Calamari was just nasty! Rubbery and smelled really fishy. We didn't even finish it. It went straight to the trash. What a waste! read more

This is a great place with a pleasant ambiance, parking, good service and very good food. I prefer a thinner crust for pizza, but the entrees are excellent and less picky friends enjoyed the pizza nonetheless. The lobster bisque is so rich, you may not be able to eat anything else. I'm not even a huge fan of lobster bisque and I crave it. I love their cappellini wth shrimp and asparagus in a light white wine garlic sauce; half comes home for leftovers despite the fact that I can eat. The manager and waitress are super friendly; when I brought friends with a small child on a slow day, they let him make his own pizza!! I'm sure he is still talking about it. So glad Prestos is open again. The original owners did a wonderful job bringing the old family feeling back. We recently had a large party for a birthday dinner, and everything was excellent. We had a selection of apps followed by a bunch of pizzas. The food was great and we had lots of attention from the owner and her staff. This is a great BYOB Italian place, but the brick oven pizza really sets it apart. We will go back, and I look forward to it. read more

Food and service always top notch. Pizza is great, also love the chicken parm and lasagna. My wife has had and loved the lamb shank. Recommend highly. They are BYOB, but there is a brewery two minutes away and a Total Wine 5 minutes away. read more

The first time we ordered the margherita pizza it was great! We ordered it tonight and it came with processed mozzarella cheese, instead of fresh. I won't call and complain but come on, do you think the customer doesn't know? NOT ordering from there again. read more

The food was good the service was horrible! My kid ordered two slices of pizza while four adults ordered dinner he had to wait ten minutes after our food arrived to get it after asking for it three times. Ordered regular soda kept getting diet. The waiter paid us no attention at all. Not likely to return there. To many other places in the area to go to. read more

This place was great! I work in the area so it was a first time for me, but definitely will go back. Love that they have parking in the back of the building for customers. Staff was friendly, guy at the front counter very pleasant. Just grabbed a slice and the waiter came over to bring napkins and silverware. Best of all, GREAT pizza. Ordered two pizzas today for pickup, they said they will be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived at Presto Pizza 15 minutes later and one of the pizzas was just going into the oven. Did you think I was going to be a no-show? You will not get a second chance to make a first impression and will not get a first chance to make a second impression. SUPERB FOOD! Presto's never disappoints! Their food is very good - their service is excellent - even when ordering for delivery - they are so accommodating - courteous and prompt! The pizza is delicious - the Staten Island Chicken sandwich is very good as well. We've had most of their entree's and appetizers - and for the price - you can't go wrong. They go the extra mile. There's a lot of competition in this area and Presto's can hold their own! And I LOVE that there is no TV in the dining room. Perhaps there's one in the more casual area at the counter - but there is not one distracting you in the dining room! Bravo Presto's Bravo! read more

They don't seem to be capable of sending out an order as it was placed. If you ask for a specific sauce chances are you will not get it or it will be the wrong one or of you don't want onions in a salad they will surely be there etc etc. When it gets delivered it shows the yellow receipt with my correct order as I ordered written on it but the order itself if wrong. Out of the last 5 times I have ordered food to be delivered 4 times the order was wrong. This is the last time I will order from this prestos their is another prestos in south hackensack under different ownership that is better in every way. read more

Stopped in for dinner with another couple early (6 pm) on New Years eve and enjoyed a GREAT meal! We were warmly greeted by the owner when we arrived, and promptly seated in the rear dining room. She went through a short list of daily specials (all sounded wonderful) and let us know the price of each. Three of us started with lobster bisque, a rich creamy large bowl of scrumptious soup with chunks of real lobster. Very tasty & filling, especially accompanied by the delicious warm bread. My wife enjoyed a good size Caesar salad to start, which contained fresh romaine and croutons. On to the main course for her with broiled salmon served along with 2 grilled vegetables and my order of shrimp parm. Both were delicious, filling, very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Throughout the course of our meal our primary server, April, was gracious and very helpful. She was assisted by Scotty, & they both provided everything we needed at the table, kept our water glasses full and checked on us regularly. Outstanding service! We all enjoyed a wonderful early evening out with a great meal & superior service in a welcoming restaurant. Presto's is definitely on our go-to place list when we are up in Bergen county. My friend and I both live across the street and decided to have dinner there on Sunday. The waiter told us the specials one of which was Chicken Rollatini and I asked the price and was told $19.95. We both ordered it (it was tasteless and bitter and contained a different cheese frorm the mozzarella that the waiter said would be made with). For dessert we asked if they had a dessert menu and the waiter said he would bring out the tray from which we each chose one. When the bill came, it showed the entrees as $19.95 and desserts at $4.95 each plus our soft drinks and a discount of 15% (we had a coupon that Presto had advertised in Clipper Magazine) . We gave the waiter a $100 bill and waited for our change. The waiter then came back to us and said that the "boss" had "corrected" the bill . The entrees were now changed to $20.95 and the desserts to $6.95 each. In other words, the boss decided to get back his 15%!!!! What a rip-off and how cheap, deceptive and classless a restauranteur. We will NEVER go there again. read more

Have been to Presto's many times and the food was always very good. However, last night we (a friend and I) ordered a steak Italian style and zuppe de pesce and a stuffed artichoke to share as an appetizer. Firstly the stuffing for the artichoke looked and tasted like "stove top stuffing" doctored up a bit, had no taste, blah. The steak had fried peppers The meat and the vegtables were cold. My zuppe de pesce was also cold. But get this, I took one shrimp by the tail and felt it cold and the shrimp meat was luke warm. The rest of both dishes were cold. We had the waitress take both back to get hot which they admitted the microwaved. Question, how does a shrimp be warm and cold at the same time? Precooked, thats how. We were fed leftovers! No fresh prep at all. My friend of Italian descent said to me " I'll never eat here again, this is the worst Italian meal I've ever eaten." The dinners were $20 and $26 respectively. For that kind of money I want fresh prepared food. We will NEVER go back to Presto's, this place needs Chef Ramsey to kick some butt. The pizza may be okay but the dining room experience was unacceptable. The waitress who was nice was embarrassed but did her best not to show it. It had been a couple of years since we had been there and noticed the menu had not changed one iota. NEVER, NEVER NEVER again. read more
