Me and my boyfriend came in just trying to get a quick drink after dinner and when I ordered my drink and the bartender with dreadlocks took my ID noticed I still have a vertical ID even through i'm 21. My ID also says "under 21 until (the date I turned 21)" and he tried to say he couldn't serve me because of that which isn't true. My ID doesn't expire until 2031 and the law says I can still be served and that my ID is valid even though it is vertical. As long as I am of age and my ID isn't expired there shouldn't be a problem. After the issue with the ID another bartender came over to ask what was going on and I calmly explained the id situation and then the original bartender said he would still serve me but that I need a new ID but acted as if he was doing me a favor and said it in a rude manner. after that the second bartender told me and my boyfriend to calm down and said we could handle the situation together and I find that comment incredibly out of place as me and my boyfriend were not causing any issues it was the bartender who claimed there was an issue with my ID who started a whole situation over quite literally nothing as there's nothing wrong with my ID in the first place. Also it's a sports bar and there was like no sports on the tv unless you consider a hotdog eating competition a sport. if I could give the place 0 stars I would. I'm typically one to give a place a second chance but I can guarantee I will never be coming back as the bartenders completely ruined me and my boyfriend's experience within the first 5 minutes at most. read more

On Friday, May 8, 2026, I experienced unacceptable treatment from the staff and ownership of Press Box Grill. After calling to correct an online order error (Chicken Fried Steak instead of the Chicken Fried Chicken I have ordered in the past), the host, Caitlin, screamed at me over the phone so loudly that bystanders could hear her. I explained that I had a migraine the whole day and that I did not intend on buying a plate of Chicken Fried Steak but wanted to buy the Chicken Fried Chicken plate instead. I returned the untouched food in person to resolve the issue. The owner refused to apologize for Caitlin's abusive behavior or hold her accountable. When I asked how they deal with issues involving customers placing an order in error, he ignored me. When I asked him how he could support Caitlin's ongoing, inappropriate behavior, he dismissed the issue. This was not my first interaction with Caitlin. Both Caitlin and the owner claimed they "have nothing to do" with their online orders and refused to allow me to purchase the correct item or facilitate an exchange. It is a predatory practice to accept payment via a website but refuse any accountability for the fulfillment of those orders. The entire time I intended to work with them, but both parties disrespected me in front of others. It was bad practice when the owner refused a refund or the exchange that I myself initially wanted, retaining my $21+ and forcing me to leave with food I could not consume. I told him that Caitlin repeatedly yelled at me on the phone but told me to call "Cat" the following day. I told the owner, however, that since he is the owner of the business, Cat would probably not refund me my money. He had nothing to say. When I told him that I wanted to buy the chicken plate instead, he still refused to work with me. While not obligated to be courteous or considerate, he must treat others with respect, which like Caitlin, he intentionally failed to do. The business profited from me, but I was unable to eat what I intended to order. Caitlin and the owner both escalated the issue in ways that could have been prevented. Moreover, the owner seemed visibly intoxicated and admitted to consuming alcohol. He placed an empty glass of wine on a table to his right during the interaction. The alcohol may have impaired his judgment. Running a business while intoxicated poses a significant safety and professional concern to the public. That type of irresponsible, unethical, and unprofessional conduct should not be tolerated, even if it is by the owner himself. read more

Solid sports bar with surprisingly good food! I've been here a few times now and every time my meal has been delicious. On my first visit, I got the western burger. Cooked well, very tasty but a lot of BBQ sauce. It was messy. My husband showed me on our second visit the pro move is to ask for that on the side. The new winner for me is the salmon salad. I read a lot of reviews with people raving about it... for a great reason. It's delicious! The salmon has a sweet glaze and with that and the salmon's natural oils you hardly need any of the honey mustard dressing (which is super) Prices are kind of on the higher side but it's downtown Dallas. You're supposed to seat yourself so I did. Was greeted as I walked to a table. Then crickets. Took my drink order then crickets again. After I got my drink, he left. Came back and asked if I wanted to order food. I'm not sitting at the bar... So yeah, it would seem like I would want food to go with my iced tea. Was about to leave when the waiter came to take my order. Couple who came it after me -- greeted right away, drink order taken and brought out, took order right away. The nice thing about single diners at lunch is that they don't tend to linger. I could have eaten, paid and left quickly. After a half hour and no food, I left cash for my drink and left. I wouldn't go by the yelp rating of this place because it's a lot better than people made it out to be. The service was good and so was all of our food. I loved my burger and the cheese fries we got were pretty good. They also have pretty reasonable prices, so that was a plus. I wouldn't necessarily come back if I'm in Dallas again, but that's just because I like to try new places when I'm in different states and would rather not dine at the same sports bar twice.
