The movers who helped me move said I was the 3rd person in a matter of weeks that they've helped move from this storage unit that have had rat infestation problems. This company and staff know fully well about rats at their facility and still rent out. This has been a nightmare. They are in the business of storing people's valuable, and they know fully well they are rat infested?! I ask why hadn't they reached out to any of the clients, I was told that they DIDN'T WANT TO ALERT THE CONSUMERS. I was reminded that my insurance wouldn't cover the damage. Needless to say I didn't get my "How'd we do" email......go figure.

My first time renting a trailer and the people were extremely nice. Since I was traveling to a very rural area the system at first wouldn't let me choose a drop-off point. I got an email later that the lady was able to choose the location we talked about, so that saved me some time when I finally did drop it off. Even though it was raining off & on, the guy there was kind enough to bring the trailer out front and hook it up to my truck. We walked around and made sure the lights worked and the tires were good and all that. They answered all my questions about what I should do, what numbers to call, what if something happens, etc... Very polite and personable people. Would definitely rent from them again. The location is on the feeder heading south just as you pass under the beltway. Not the best location but if you've ever traveled 45 in that area you've probably passed it a million times.

On the on ramp to Beltway 8 at that, so I get it all squared away and never experience another incident until I return it. The manager, Ken Wade and another employee took pictures and I was told a claims representative would call Monday or Tuesday since it was the weekend and they were closed. On Thursday I called the U-Haul place since I hadn't been contacted by heir claims rep yet. The lady I spoke with told me to call the claims office myself and gave me their number. (If that was the case all along, then why didn't they call me to tell me that?) After the claims rep contacted me and took my statement, he instructed me to take it to a shop of my choice for an estimate. After doing so I had the shop forward the estimate directly to his email. Two weeks later I receive a letter telling me that they are denying my claim since the insurance I had purchased to cover damages to their property stated it did not cover the vehicle doing the towing. That's fine, I would expect that and agree with it had the incident been my fault. However, the fact remains it was through their negligence and improper hook up that the incident occurred. Their employee checked everything and said it was good to go.

Originally they were to arrive at 12 pm. I requested they come at 1 pm due to roommate moving out as well and to make Amaya Movers had room to work. Mr Carlos Sosa stated he could come at 6:30 am, 12 pm or 5pm/6 pm. I agreed to 5 pm. The movers were stuck on another job at 5 pm and I was told they would arrive soon. At 6 :30 pm I was told they were 5 minutes away. They arrived at 8:30 pm. Because of this I missed another appointment.They request you pay $190 as soon as they arrive to guarantee they get paid for 2 hours. I requested a stop at my storage which was 2 minutes along the way to my new location. I was told $40, agreed to $25 extra. The movers were very young, but very careful with items. They drove slower than Mr Magoo. I was unable to put stuff in storage and now have to hire someone else to come get the items that do not fit!!!! Was told it was my fault for not sticking to the 12 pm time. WOW!! Would not recommend this company to anyone.
