In the end, I was happy to go with Pinpoint Movers anyway because they are family owned. I opted for a 3 person team. They moved quickly and the gentlemen that came to move my things were so kind. I was impressed with how they communicated with me. They gave me a one hour timeframe of when to expect them but called me at the start of that timeframe to let me know how many minutes away they were which was helpful because I was able to run a quick errand since I knew when they were arriving. They moved fast and efficiently. Very impressive. It was hard work as I moved to a third story unit with no elevator. In the end I had a couple of small cosmetic nicks to an end table and a nick on my doorframe, but all in all, it was a successful move in my book. I felt the pricing was fair for the service I received. They required two hour minimum and had a service charge I felt was very fair. I would use them again.

The move took significantly longer than anticipated, especially compared to my previous moving experiences. To make matters worse, I discovered that several items were broken or damaged during the move. This was particularly upsetting given the care I took to properly wrap and protect my belongings ahead of time. Based on this experience, I can't say I would recommend this company.

Through hire a helper I booked 5 hours outside their mandatory 2 and was under the impression that I would not pay for unused hours. Instead I paid for 4 hours that they weren't there. They have a policy that states no refund for unused hours. The owner was generous enough to split the difference and refund 2 hours to me after some conversation. My advice is to hire them directly rather than through Hire a Helper as it seems there's a discrepancy on who's policy it is not to refund for unused hours. Overall the experience was ok but the 2 guys that came to pack did a fantastic job. I'd give them a try again but direct hire not through a service.

James moved his jobs around and was able to show up around noon... Unfortunately, the day of the move-in/unload did not go as planned... our painters were not done and our entire interior home was tarped in plastic, a 20 foot ladder was up over the stairs, wet walls throughout. James and Kelly showed up ready to unload our 26' truck... literally with NOWHERE to move our stuff into. (Good thing we had them rearrange their schedule to come to our house early... facepalm.) LUCKILY, James with Premier Moving is AMAZING and was able to have 2 guys come back the next day to unload!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
