You know I've lost my marbles when I confess to going to the biggest, newest, friendliest, immaculate hardware store in Corona to buy... wait for it... HOMEMADE pies. OK, the hardware store is great too. In fact, it is so mind boggling, big and beautifully stocked, we made a point of bringing the grandkids another time. Just as I suspected, they found things they never knew would be in a hardware store. Fun things like Lego sets, garden art, candy, toys, ice cream, kiddee pools. But my primary interest, and latest chatter around town, was to check out their freezer case which was filled with a variety of frozen fruit pies from The Pie Co. in Ripon CA. Why Ripon is notable? If you know anything about Ripon, you already know it is an unremarkable little town in Central California. It happens to be in the San Joaquin Valley, California's rich heartland. Nearby are vast fruit and nut orchards and rural roads lined with wild blackberry bushes. Apparently, around 2008, some rolling-pin-wielding granny saw real potential here, started a business making these frozen, (mostly) fruit pies, and best of all, distributed them through premiere Ace Hardware stores. These nostalgic pies might even bring tears to your eyes... peach, apricot, rhubarb, boysenberry, apple, pumpkin, to name a few. While I have had better, more flakey crusts, the real treasure is the generous,natural fruit fillings with minimal sugar and less thickener. They're really good. If that's not enough, Ace Hardware is cleverly marketing their own brand of ice cream sandwiches in several different flavors. But the clincher is, they sell them for 8c. Yes, eight cents. How to resist? You dont. They only allow one per customer. But that has not stopped me from a second, same-day visit after hitting up Trader Joe's and Claro,'s famous Italian market found in the same center, The Shops at Dos Lagos. I bring my ice chest. For now, I have pretty much ignored the long aisles of the most incredible, abundant, inventory, tools, hardware, or any of the other fascinating gadgets, toys, supplies they carried. That will come soon enough. But there is no argument this is a very special store. Glad to have a hardware store with a hometown feel and friendly faces. read more

In my younger days, I worked for several years at one of the largest privately owned Ace Hardware stores in the SF Bay Area: Dale Hardware. I always like to check out hardware stores I come across to compare that to Dale Hardware, both for levels of service and how well stocked the store is. I walked in one early Monday morning. There were a couple of other customers on the quiet store. Not once as I walked around from the back entrance to front entrance and in between all the aisles, was I greeted once by any of the staff. For comparioson, @Dale, all staff were expected to greet all cutomers in the specific section you worked and ask if that patron needed any help. Not only where we all trained to help find the specific DIY product(s), we could also explain how to do the repair, replacement etc. I read other comments that they are helpful here too, but that was not extended to.me during my visit. The store itself has a lot of bulk items which is nice not having to purchase a bag of 5 screws when.you just need one. While the store dies not have a very broad selection to choose from in any of their different areas ( plumbing, paints, gardening, electrical, etc.) I would guess they can special order it from the regional Ace Warehouse if needed. Or the shopper will have to travel to one of the big box hardware stores down the freeway. This store will definitely fill a need for local residents that have simple DIY repairs or projects. I will stop by here afrer work just for their vast bulk offerings mentioned above. read more

New store that just opened in December 2024. Interior is nice and clean and well stocked. You can find a lot of garden, camping, paint, nuts and bolts etc. good hardware store. I like how they even have a special now where they sell their own ice cream sandwiches for 8 cents with a purchase. In addition they also carry Lego and non Lego building bricks. I was really impressed in how organized everything was. Was bigger than my local Ace but had the worst customer service ever. When asking for help to find an item the women working behind the counter not only wouldn't assist but treated me disrespectfully. In shock I called her or on her bad behavior. She argued and justified it cause she was older. What is that? You kidding me? I won't patronize a business who keeps people like that. Even if the rest of the crew is great they have a bad egg in my view and I don't want to cross paths with that again. read more

Saw that this location was having a close out sale on Yeti products and came in to see what's available. They had an entire section dedicated to Yeti with signs that said 20% close out. In store only! But it was not clear if all products by the sign were 20% off or not. We selected a soft sided cooler in Sandstone Pink. The price tag was yellow and said "Sale" $250. When you look at the website the price is "normally priced" at $250. Items on the website that are on sale show the regular price and sale price. So I assumed this cooler would be 20% off at the register. I asked an employee who said that if a customer wants to know what's actually on sale they have to do all the guess work and go online and search each item by color. Is retail so lazy these days they can't even price things correctly??? Looks like a call to county weights and measures is in order to sort out this Pricing debacle!!! read more

We started off with a great experience here and it went downhill from there. My wife bought some paint that was the wrong color. She was able to take it back and they gave store credit and the right color in a new can. I went back the next day to get a quart more (on a Saturday) and was told they didn't have anyone that could mix paint that day but would have someone there on Sunday @7:30. I arrived Sunday at 7:30 and found out they don't open until 8:00. at 8:00 I was greeted at the door by the woman who said someone would be there and she told me that they changed the schedule and maybe someone would be there at 11:30. We were hoping for a good alternative to the big box store but it doesn't look like this is it. We'll see what happens at 11:30 but I'm not too hopeful. read more

Items not priced correctly and when you try to purchase, they won't honor the price nor even offer any kind of compensation such as a potential discount for the inconvenience. I went in and found what I thought was an item on sale or discounted so I grabbed it and wanted to purchase when they told me all of a sudden they couldn't sell me the item because someone on their team mislabeled or improperly priced the item. I'm understanding of a mistake but this wasn't the only item I found mislabeled or priced incorrectly, only advice I can give regarding this location is to beware of the prices you see on their items because they may not be the actual price they want to charge you for them. read more

I was so excited when I saw that this store was open. I thought it was going to be a lot longer until they opened up. I was due for a trip to Home Depot to buy some paint, but was pleasantly surprised to see they had an amazing paint selection. My daughter and I got some samples of green paint and all of the employees couldn't have been more kind. Patient and helpful. It's about time they start putting stores in a company environment. While I was there, I saw more women than men getting gardening either way it was the most welcoming environment with the most helpful people who actually want to be there to help you when you go to Home Depot or Lowe's, they are literally hiding and then when you find someone they say they have no idea. A perfect ad to the community and an amazing asset to the Dos Lagos shopping center! I will always give them my business over a larger option, even if I have to pay more which so far I have not! I went in last week and needed help with getting a nut bolt off of a screw that was slightly stripped and the manager (I think his name was Enrique) was able to get it off for me. He was so helpful and I was so thankful to him. I had just bought a dinning table and I was putting it together so it was a big relief. My name is Linda and my husbands name is Jim, we went to Premier Ace Hardware yesterday, wow what an awesome experience, we have been waiting for this store to open, wow, its in a awesome complex and its easy access from our home, the store was clean and everything in its place,their are some places you go, no one sees you come and no one sees you go, the was a lady stocking items on the shelf she stopped what she was doing, to wait on us. She gave us helpful suggestions as to what we needed, and stayed with us until all our needs were met. You know the value, and how far do you want to drive to maybe get only half of what you want and the staff is rude, This lady was nice we purchased every thing we needed the selection was awesome, also every thing was in its place.
