If you want to go somewhere with good customer service, I suggest going to go to Eyebrow Threading by Farida on 40th St and Thomas, a family owned business. I went to Preety Threading when it was not at all busy, but for some reason the lady who was doing my eyebrows was in such a hurry to get me out. As someone who gets their eyebrows threaded regularly, I have never felt as much pain as I did when she was threading, because she did it so harshly. Now don't get me wrong, I know that they are typically quick at doing their job, but this lady didn't even offer me lotion or brush my hairs off my face! Once I got in my car and actually had time to examine my brows, I noticed there was still a bunch of hair left. I went back in and she told me it was because my nails were covering my hair and I needed to hold my brows differently. As the professional, shouldn't that have been something you told me at the beginning? She was mad when I didn't leave a tip and I'm glad I didn't. Used to be one of the places I visited often, not anymore. Not at all friendly. read more

They are OK. I've been here a handful of times with mixed results. This time when I said "leave them as natural as possible and just clean up the edges" she interpreted that as change the shape. She took off way more than I wanted. If you like super stylized brows then they'll probably be good for you. I still wouldn't go here before a big a event or anything. read more

Asked for a full face threading and when I went to pay they added an additional $5 for threading the top of my nose? I guess your nose is not apart of your face? I tried asking why that wouldn't be included since it says "full face and my nose is apart of my face" and I just got stared at and she just repeated the total. So I paid and carried on because I knew it wasn't going to get resolved, but it definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. (I should add there are a few small cuts on my face from the threading.) read more

They're okay, but don't expect consistent results. The last time I came here, I got a younger girl around my age and she did such a great job with my brows! She kept them as thick as possible and kept my natural shape. I came back another time recently, and got an older lady this time. My brows are in the worst state they have ever been! They are way too thin, uneven, and she even got rid of my natural arch on one brow. I wasn't happy, but didn't have the heart to tell the lady who did my work that I didn't like my brows. Plus, it was too late - I can't ask her to put my hairs back, which is the only way this situation could have been fixed. I just walked out and tipped less than I usually do (which is still above 20%). It's my fault for coming here right before a big trip, to be honest. They are the closest threading place near me, but I don't think that I will be back. read more

Never returning! TRAUMATIZED. I came in with thick eyebrows and left with none. I specifically asked them to only clean and not make them skinny. Maybe inexperience? I have been coming here for over a year. My eyebrows usually come out great and when I've asked politely to get something fixed there's never an issue. I went in today and felt like one of my eyebrows was a bit uneven and let the lady know. She then tells me that it's me and that it's the way I look. I was shocked she even said that so I just didn't say nothing and told her it's fine. She gets angry and starts saying im giving her attitude and not to come back. This place is HEAVEN SENT! I waxed for years and would have terrible reactions more times than not from the wax! I just thought well that's just how it is. Well ladies NO! It's not just how it is. There is another way and it is THREADING!!! I had no idea what threading was or that it existed as an option until I tried this place. I figured I hated waxing so much that I had absolutely nothing to lose. I am so happy I was open to trying something new because the wax and alllllll of its after effects are a thing of my past! My sensitive skin loves threading and I am grateful for it. If you have sensitive skin or allergic reactions from wax then threading is a blessing! I was really excited to find this place because it's right next to Sprout's, but I was a little nervous since threading is so hit and miss. Been going here for years. All the girls do a great job and are very nice. I love that it's walk on so you don't have to make an appointment. The wait is usually never long. I think the longest I've ever had to wait is 15-20 minutes but usually not even that. $8 for threading is a great price your out the door for $10 with a tip. If I could give it zero stars this would be it! I went in there and I asked the lady if she knows how to do an eyebrow arch and I told her that my skin is sensitive please be CAREFUL ... I told her if she is my skin will rip open she clearly did not listen to me. In the beginning she immediately stopped and went and grab alcohol and started rubbing alcohol on my eyebrows to stop the bleeding so I would not notice... when I asked her for the mirror she hesitated and then gave it to me I saw that she ripped open my skin I looked her in the eye and I said you ripped open my skin. Oh your skin is too sensitive she said.. I was willing to forgive her damn ignorance and I told her I needed to get my lips done as well so please be slow and careful you're already ripped open my eyebrow. I have never dealt with somebody holding my head in order to rip off the hair from my lip rough I felt it so rough.. I tried to move my head but she held it holding my head with her body.. I'm sure your camera caught that.Julie is the only one that I she has done my eyebrows without cutting me open for many many months... I don't recommend this eyebrow threading salon. After the lady was done doing my eyesbrows I told her exactly where it needed more threading, she did another thing and came out looking terrible. They were super uneven. When I tried to go back she said she would not fix them because I had said in Spanish that I did not like them. Being a COVID situation, they are not respectful at all. First, they don't wear a mask. Second, I come with a mask and the lady was super rude doing my eyebrows. While doing my eyebrows, she was talking and making fun if it. I do not need someone to insult on my eyebrows. I ignore her because she is talking to my face disrespectfully. She taps on my shoulder so hard, no gloves by the way, and goes I am talking to you. I said I do not want to talk. I did not feel protected by her and I do not need to answer to someone who insults you. After we were done, the lady next to her who works goes, why don't you want to talk? Do not come back. Listen, I won't come back nor will anyone else. Train your staff to have decency during this COVID, not to insult on someone. It is a free country, I do not have to speak if I don't want to. Tell your staff not to tap so hard on someone shoulder. In fact, you should not even touch your client. You want me to answer to your staff who says Why do you have a gap? Please get real. I called to confirm if I would be able to be attended prior to arriving as it was close to the closing time and the lady who answered informed me I would be able to get my eyebrows threaded if I arrived before 7. When I arrived at 6:54 the woman inside told me she could not thread my eyebrows because she had two customers waiting which I understood but that why I had called to confirm in the first place. The woman inside told me she did not pick up the phone and was stern but I understood however I called the phone line again to speak with a manager and the same woman who answered the phone again said she would call the girl and disconnected the call. So times have changed and its not crazy for a guy to walk into an eyebrow threading place by himself. I've been in the past under the guise of just getting a pedi with a girlfriend and we'll do this too but that doesn't quite work at a threading salon. I've been going to this location for a few years now and have always had a good experience. LIke you would expect Saturday afternoons are busy. Women tend to have a higher pain tolerance on stuff like this so I go 3-4 times a year. They'll use the thread primarily for the area below the brow and small scissors to shape up on the top.Its always clean inside some top 40 on in the background. 4 or 5 salon chairs but I think I've seen at most two people working at once. read more

I have been here twice and they did a great job. Today the lady undid 3 years worth of regrowing my eyebrows and getting the shape. After having to go back because literally she didn't get any of the hairs she proceeded not to get the areas i told her but to take more from my arch. When she was threading the cotton wasnt even catching the hairs if it was all it was doing was cutting it so i have black dots everywhere now. She didn't get me to put tension on the skin so she couldn't even get my arch correctly and then pulled on my skin on the sides. I'm so mad that she did this but my fault for her expecting to do a better job the second time. Shame because i thought i had found me new got to place. read more
