I was incredibly impressed by how quickly Affordable HVAC responded, with a technician arriving within 30 minutes. The technician was on-site for about 45 minutes total, seemed knowledgeable, and checked the pressure in addition to diagnosing the problem. He identified a swollen capacitor, a clear sign of failure. I was a bit confused during the diagnosis, as I had observed my unit turning on and blowing marginally cold air before his arrival, and he stated a bad capacitor would prevent the unit from turning on at all; perhaps there was a misunderstanding or a communication gap regarding the nuanced stages of capacitor failure, or it failed completely just prior to his check. He then proceeded to efficiently replace the capacitor very quickly, getting my AC up and running in about 15 minutes. Before starting the work, I was quoted $420, which I agreed to at the time. In the literal heat of the moment (it was 85 degrees!), I blame myself for not voicing my concern about the price and simply wanting my AC fixed. After the repair was complete and he was preparing the bill, he asked if I would be leaving a review. When I said yes, he offered a discount, bringing the total down to $390. While I'm very happy my AC is fixed and truly appreciate the fast, effective service, I do feel that the final cost of $390 was quite high for such a straightforward and quick capacitor replacement. As someone who is handy and has even tackled much harder DIY projects (like replacing an entire sump pump last year), and later learned the part itself costs around $30 locally, I couldn't help but feel the price was on the steeper side for this specific fix. Frankly, if the total had been closer to $290, I honestly wouldn't be having this buyer's remorse, and it truly would have been a 5-star experience. The irony of the company name, 'Affordable HVAC,' was certainly not lost on me given the cost. Ultimately, you live and learn.

They worked with me, to get the job scheduled, quickly. On the day of the installation Dan, and Kyle, arrived, laid down tarps to protect my tile floor, and carpeted stairway, from any dirt, or damage, and got right to work. They made short work of removing the old water heater, and getting the new unit installed. Both of them were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient while getting the job accomplished. This is the third time having Everything Mechanical do work, for me, and I couldn't be more pleased with their quality work, availability, and reasonable prices for each job. Tech said probably from humidifier but never looked any further into it. Ended up saying blower was dead and needed replacing. Then he ended up coming up with several more things that need to be replaced. Price quote slowly kept climbing. Finally said it will cost around $5k to fix everything. He then recommended just getting a new furnace in the end. AC also not working now since tech left. So we have no AC or heat and they cannot get the part they need to replace. Waste of an inspection. Will be getting second opinion and not using Woodstock Heating and Cooling again, unless it's a last resort.

In December of 2022, the HVAC unit Malfunctioned, and the Heater stopped working. Since this was a Brand New Home and Combined Services HVAC installed this unit - Andrew from Combined Services was sent to my home and was able to get the heat going. In July of 2024, Combined Services installed a Reme Halo System but failed to install the transformer (I have the original box this system came in and noticed the transformer is still in this original box - purchased from Combined Services). In December of 2024, this Unit Malfunctioned for the 2nd time, the technician from Combined Service informed me there is a broken part on this unit - and they need to order and install the missing part - an "inducer cooling wheel." This system also made large noises and the air distribution is completely unbalanced. I no longer hear the noises, but the air distribution is still extremely poor - the Primary Bedroom & Bathroom receive most of the air and or heat even though the vents are closed.
