This review is in regards to my experience with Yogi. Yogi is the sh*t. I've brought my car in a few times for different services and have always dealt with Yogi and I can truly say that he is great. I called the other day because I needed to bring my car in and I casually brought up a service I received back in December 2018 (six months ago) and Yogi immediately responds "yes, I remember. The white Honda Accord, right?" I was shook. He has exceptional memory. Anyways, he's always honest about the service that is needed and really works with me to make sure that i know exactly what's going on with my vehicle and how much each part/labor will cost. These guys were great!! My airbag deployed on my VW Tourage... not good. I tried several other businesses and they said, they couldn't help me. PIA listened to what I said, could not make any promises, but agreed to help me out. By the end of the day, they called and explained their first attempt at diagnosing the problem didn't work. Now the mechanics would have to look at it the "old school " way. The next phone call they told me it was a short in the wiring that made the airbag go off accidentally. I agreed to let them fix it and got the car the next morning. PIA was quick, efficient, reasonable priced, explained everything to me, and professional. The staff have a sense of humor and I enjoyed watching the working relationships they had within this company. They left me with a good feeling of trust. When my car was done, the tech was very detailed with the work that was done and informed me of some things that may need attention in the near future. After I assessed my car I notices all my error messages were reset and in working order. Brought my car for regular service (oil change, air filet, cabin filter). Had to leave my car over weekend because they said they could not get the service done before they closed on Friday. I left my car over the weekend. When I got it back, it had an extra 100 miles on it. Little did they know, I take a picture of my speedometer before and after service. Was a trusted shop in my book until I recommended My brother is 2018 Subaru STI there because it was not going into reverse. I then took it to the shop and they told me they would pinpoint the problem directly they charge me $200 for the diagnosis and then told me that it was most likely the reverse that was bad but they needed to take apart the whole transmission to be able to put it on a bench and to manually tested gear long story short I ended up getting out of there for about $2500 and I was left a car that I had to take to another shop because they would do it a lot cheaper. Yogi upon estimating the car repairs to be about $5000 but he did not tell me that he was going to buy a rebuild kit that was going to replace all the gears from first through six which was stupid in my book. I ended up taking to another shop and Steve about $3000 on the repair the other shop only repair the reverse gear that was bad unlike this job which would work replace all gears which was not needed I have taken my car is here before but I guess the shop is not really capable of repairing big jobs for the right price it's more like a dealership where they were just charge you to repair the whole transmission instead of the single gear that is bad read more

Absolutely amazing. I just moved to Corona from LA and was very nervous about finding a new mechanic - being a women and all and not really knowing a extreme amount about cars. So I looked here on yelp and Precision has amazing reviews and appeared to be very knowledgeable in BMW/ Mini coopers (I drive a mini) so I brought my car here and from the first phone call I felt cared for - Micheal is SO sweet and soft spoken - really seems to express a genuine care and concern for you. (I'm actually sitting here in the office having my oil checked real quick and listening to him talk to several people on the phone with lots of questions - he keeps the same happy, helpful and sweet energy !) Anyway, back to the original story - He called me and told me they needed to dig a little deeper into the car and wouldn't know exactly the problem until they got to it - he gave me two prices, one a few hundred dollars higher is the issue is worse case scenario. The issue ended up being the less expensive scenario (so I feel that shows they are not trying to do extra work that isn't needed - plus they are SO BUSY I don't know how they could possibly fit in extra unneeded work) Picked my car up the next day and everything has been great :) I've deff found my mechanic here in Corona !:) read more

For about a year I tried to figure out what was wrong with the gearbox on my Ford Fiesta 2014. After a long drive, the gearbox would make noises, the car would shake while driving, and the gearbox would be getting stuck in the same gear. Ford Dealership claimed that the problem was defective TCM and offered to wait an unknown amount of time until the part arrived (at the moment I have already waited about 9 months). At AAMCO I was told that we need to start with unassembling the gearbox and see what's in there (estimate of $900) and then if that is not going to work, we might need to change the clutch completely with an estimate of $1400. I decided to take the car to Michael at Precision Import Auto Repair for inspection. Long story short, Michael offered to flush and lubricate the clutch for $350. After that, the car drives perfectly. No unpredictable shifting, no getting stuck in the same gear, no car shaking. If you need a trustworthy car place and someone who is focused on taking care of your car and saving you money - I mean that's definitely the place. read more

I took my truck there once , to install a transmission, worked fine until the cooling line, they installed , broke 4 weeks later, and the trans fluid all leaked out, causing my trans to slip, the line was fixed. the trans was already damage, do to the broken cooling line. the repair shop did not back up the work they did. Mmmmm...took my car there for a water pump issue and my car was cutting off while driving. Took it in and explained the problem and they advised me that they had a service mechanic road test it for 45 mins of driving not knowing to them that I checked the odometer b4 dropping it off. So I paid the 1k repair cost and sure enough the car cuts off again on the freeway while driving. This place is a joke and rip off. But go ahead and roll the dice. I took my Subaru Outback in here over a year ago and they did a bunch of work on it that had already been done charged me 1,400 and sent me home with an unfixed car. So its kind of a long story but my car was doing this thing where it would loose power and all the lights were flashing on the dash so I took it in and they said they needed to go down a checklist to figure out what was going on and the job they ended up doing was a tune up but said they still couldn't figure out the issue. I go home my car is still having the same issues, I had to leave town due to my dad being diagnosed with brain cancer and left my car behind because of the issues and when I came back to get my car I was looking thru my paperwork and realized I had just had the same job done on my car a few months earlier!!! They could see the job was just done but did it anyway and charged me 1,400 dollars! So I call them and express my upset with them and they tell me it was over 5 months ago my car was in there and I explained I had to leave town due to a family emergency, well they didn't give a crap and just made a bunch of excuses. So this is the cherry on the top on the cake...I let it go, more months go by and my car is still having the issue and its getting worse (well...my husband is a mechanic!) We were going thru too much at the time for him to fix my car. We get back home after my dad is doing better and he runs he's scanner tool and it gives him the same code it was giving them which was a sensor on the valve body and well he fixed it and now the car is runs like new and it only cost 40 dollars for the part!!! They knew what was wrong and just wanted to get as much money out of me as possible. It was a simple fix and didn't need to go thru a huge trail and error process. Do not take your car here unless you want to get ripped off!!! 1,400 for a job that was already done that was an extremely easy fix. I am pisssssssed!!! Oh and of course they didn't tell me what code it was giving, I originally found out when I took it to get a smog and the really nice gentlemen told me which lead my husband to look into it. 1,400 for literally nothing... read more
