I just recently moved to Arizona and went through the motions of finding a new dentist and I'm SO GLAD I found Dr. Goates and his wonderful office! Lizzy was my hygienist and she was the best! Extremely knowledgeable, gave me advice, and made me aware of things I needed to work on to better improve my teeth without judgement! It didn't feel like I was in trouble or getting a lecture at all, she was very sweet and I felt like she genuinely cared and took time to listen to all my concerns. Dr. Goates also took the time to get to know me and my concerns. He gave me his recommendations and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision on my own time. No pressure to do anything! I am a first time patient of Precision Dental. I went to them for the restoration work to be done after I had two dental implants done. I had never had dental implants before so I was a bit nervous about what to expect. To my great surprise and relief, the restoration procedure was easy and virtually painless. Dr. Goates has been my family dentist for the last three years and I can't say enough good about him. My daughter had to have some work done a few years back before we moved to Arizona and she was terrified of the dentist. When we brought her to Dr goates he did a fantastic job of calming her down and getting her teeth taken care of. She told me later she would only be seen by him. I also have had to have a lot of work done and also had a fear of the dentist. Since coming to him I feel so much more at ease. they do not enforce a mask policy, let parents in the room with patients(wearing no mask), and the staff takes off their masks and wears them under their noses. if you want to get covid it's the perfect place to go but if not i recommend finding another dentist. before the pandemic they were fine but who knows why they aren't being safe. read more

Dr. Goates has been my dentist for a number of years now. If you are anything like me growing up with a fear of dentists, you will love seeing him and the wonderful hygienists at this office! I was upfront and honest about my fears from the moment I first came in and honestly, I had no reason to be worried. Dr. Goates is so kind-spirited! He really put my fears at ease and listened to my concerns. My entire family sees him now... my mom and dad, my sister and her husband and my husband and babies! Yes, the little ones too! My little guy is almost 5 and just went this week, fearless, to be examined and have his teeth cleaned alone for the first time while I had a cleaning across from him. He did a great job and I credit his fearlessness to having an amazing dentist that doesn't push kids. Even my 1 year old has been examined here. I honestly couldn't tell you anything about the dentist or hygienist because I was never able to get back to see them. I went in for my scheduled cleaning appointment and was told that they had made numerous attempts to contact me to reschedule...something about my insurance. I get phone calls all day long on my phone, but none from them. I was able to verify that they had my correct number, so that was not the problem. I got their name from my insurance, so that made me wonder as well and then the girl told me she could get me in later that morning if I would like to come back. I guess there was no insurance problem after all. No thanks. I have been at my last dentist for almost 20 years until he retired and was trying to find a new one to transfer all my care. I had waited for over a month for this appointment and if this is how they are going to treat me on my very first visit there, I would rather go somewhere else. Maybe have a backup plan if you decide to try this dentist's office. read more

After reading the great reviews here, I went to Precision Dental last week for a routine checkup, x-rays, and cleaning. The waiting area of the office is spectacular! Awesome water wall!! The entire office and exam area is REALLY clean and modern. The hygienist, Amber, was very informative, gentle during the cleaning, and kind. When Dr. Goates came in, I was impressed with his casual attitude! He actually sat and chatted with me for several minutes before doing his exam. It was a refreshing change from my experience at other dentist's offices! All in all... a great experience (for a dental visit) and I will certainly be going back! read more

We hate the dentist. But since we HAVE to go, we choose Dr. Goates. I have been taking myself and twin girls to see him twice a year for the past 6 years or so. The girls in the office have always been friendly and so good with my twins. They take the time to chat and listen to any concerns you may have and are all pretty funny, and understand our crazy sarcasm and nervous energy when we come in to get our teeth cleaned. I wanna preface this conversation by mentioning I have come to this dentist office for 8 years. I have always had really great customer service and experience until earlier this year. Dr. Goates dislocated my jaw after a routine cleaning and I ended up coming out of pocket $2,000.00 (while also not working for 3 weeks) I went to precision the following day after my appointment once I noted I had lots of pain coming from my jaw met with Dr. Van Dyke who was completely shocked and who referred me to a maxillofacial surgery center who was out of network and although the surgeon was great, precision dental never followed up with me until today, 5 months later . Now I have decided to not to leave a comment but the conversation I had with their aid Tresure was completely unprofessional. She calls asking me if I'm going to come to my next appointment which mind you was never scheduled. I indicated to her the fact that no one at precision dental reached out after this incident or to my maxillofacial surgeon who requested to speak with them several times. She responds "ok great" and then hangs up the phone. Who does that? I am incredibly disappointed with precision and I wasn't going to say anything but today is the last straw. read more

I scheduled appointments for both myself and my husband after a glowing referral from a friend. Scheduling was a breeze, and the receptionist was so friendly. My family and I have been going to Precision Dental since they opened their location. I am not someone who likes going to the dentist and I am very picky about which dentist I will see once, much less go back to. But Dr. Goates and his staff have been AMAZING from day one. The office looks upscale, but the team has a very personable small group way of dealing with patients. They have all the current technology in their industry and are patient, thorough and truly concerned about your oral hygiene as well as overall health. The entire team is wonderful at explaining everything that you could have questions about; from billing and insurance to treatment and how to floss. ;) They all let you know what your options are every step of the way and they are accommodating in a way that is virtually unheard of these days. When my son was in braces Dr. Goates made sure he coordinated with the orthodontist to be sure the final outcome of that therapy was right and my son's dental future would be as it should be. At my last cleaning in July, 3 or so years since I started being seen at the office, Dr. Goates thanked me for coming back. Shocker, right?!
