Just became eligible for Medicare and didn't really care for my family dentist any longer, so I reached out to friends for their dentist and were they pretty happy with them. Desert Springs Dental & Dr Shandy Condie name was highly recommended by several of them. I scheduled my initial exam (pretty easy to schedule in a timely manner) and had full mouth xrays and a dental cleaning - and Dr Condie dud the cleaning! She said for new patients, she likes to do the initial cleaning so she can get to know the patient and their teeth. Really great dentist and an excellent staff and office support. read more

I have been visiting Dr. Condie for four years now. When I moved to this area, I searched for a good dentist. I tried one and decided not to use that one. He wanted $12,000 to fill my teeth. Dr Condie had good reviews, so I tried her and oh my gosh she is excellent. She does not do work that you don't need. She does not try to get you to have work done that isn't necessary, and she charges a fair price. I highly recommend Dr Condie and Desert Springs Dental. Called and scheduled regular cleaning and requested whitening treatment as well and asked to make sure they could complete both requests in same visit. At time of appt, they had "no record of the cleaning" but were more than happy to perform and charge for the whitening. I was told they would call within a couple days to schedule cleaning and despite my outreach a couple times since, they have not scheduled or followed up. 5 weeks later and nothing from the practice. Have gone here a few times and they do really good work. They're definitely not the cheapest but I accepted to pay what my insurance didn't. My wife had some work done over the past couple of months and we ask beforehand what our portion was. I got a bill last week for about $1000 more then we were told and nobody can remember The original conversation. I'm gonna pay it but you might wanna pay close attention to what they tell you, your portion is or even have it written down. read more

I saw Dr. Shandy a few days ago. She lasered off an area of gum tissue that had grown over my back molar. I had double jaw surgery last month and, according to the doctor, it's just my body trying to heal itself. So far that area of my gums is healing nicely, and there's no more pain. I had a great experience with Dr. Shandy and her staff. She has a wonderful bedside manner and made me feel very comfortable. I will be back to see her for more dental care in the future. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I have been going to Dr. Shandy for a few years, with regular 6 month appointment. I went to a different dentist after feeling that Dr. Shandy has not been spending enough time looking at my teeth during past appointments. She literally is in the room for maybe 1 minute to look at my teeth every appointment. At this new dentist that I went to, they said that I have TWELVE cavities and was told that my teeth look like I haven't been to a dentist in years. Extremely disappointed that Dr. Shandy has been wasting my time and money, while compromising my teeth for several years. Will never be going back here ever again. I have been to Desert Springs Dental for four visits in the past 4 months, so I wanted to think long and hard before I wrote this review. Because honestly, I think this is an amazing Dental office. Dr. Shandy Condie as well as the staff are very nice, warming and welcoming. If you have never been to the Dentist, after a visit here you will not be afraid of the dentist. If you are looking for a dental office with amazing customer service, I think you would love this office. However, this place is in the business of selling dental services as oppose to prevention and care for teeth. I should have realized this my first visit when certain staff members including the dentist was wearing Cartier Bracelets (the love bracelet to be exact), but I didn't think anything of it. The very first visit she told me I had an infection and referred me to get a root canal... I was allowed to be grace with Dr. Condie presence for 5 minutes and I was charged 100 bucks for. There was no explanation why she couldn't do the root canal, but she did put the crown in. It was my third visit that I realized she was selling as opposed to prevention when she gave me a filling (that I had to let her know I had) and told me the tooth would need a root canal eventually. There was no reason why just be on the lookout for it. I guess I needed two more crowns with no explanation. Her putting one in wasn't enough. My last visit I asked her if she could remove my fully erupted wisdom teeth. The staff did full X-rays that day and when I did see Dr Condie, she told me she would refer me to a maxillofacial surgeon. When I went to him, he was going to charged me 2600- 3700 to remove four erupted wisdom teeth. I could never understand why she couldn't do it, but I realized time is money for Dr Condie and she will only grace you with her presence for 10 minutes and the rest is handled by staff... If the job takes too long you get a referral! I decided to cancel my cleaning and will not be back. I really wanted to make this my family dentist. However, my new dentist didn't think I needed two more crowns in my mouth. He charged me half the amount for my wisdom teeth removal that he did! Not a referral! I know I didn't spend that much money at Desert Springs Dental if it was up to her, but I was expecting more and not just a referral for work that needed to be done. I completely understand that she loves luxury things and is in the business of selling dental because my pockets hurt lol but that is not what I am looking for. I am looking for a dentist to explain my procedures, do them if they can and if not, at least let me know why I'm being referred to someone else... read more

The staff is great but i will not be returning. They put in a crown for me and in less then 2 yrs it broke. Cost me close to $1000 to have it replaced. I will be looking for another dentist and hopefully have better luck with them. read more

I'd give ZERO stars if I could. I had the ZOOM teeth whitening. No pictures were taken, no shade difference comparison after the procedure was done. Sensitivity was not discussed. My mouth is in horrible pain. I am utterly disappointed and it was expensive. Nobody discussed anything at all, they just had me sign some papers. I'm very disappointed and I won't be back ever. This was a huge ripoff. All they wanted was my money. Oh and my teeth aren't even that white. I knew something was up when they wouldn't even tell me how many shades lighter they were after. I went here today after being recommended by someone and I was very happy leaving today. First of all, the front desk staff was very courteous and knew who I was before I told her my name. The place is kept clean and well stocked with COLD drinks, coffee, and snacks. They were on time when they called me. This was my second visit to Desert Springs Dental. My first time was right before the holidays when a crown fell out. Dr Condie was the ONLY dentist who made time to see a new patient who just needed glue. But she saw me and she and her staff -- and that GORGEOUS office -- impressed me. Yesterday, I returned for Xrays and cleaning and it was another WOW experience.... -Dr. Condie came by to say "hi" and chat -Xrays were taken quickly, easily -The cleaning was divine -Bonus: They did a complimentary paraffin hand wax! I was NOT expecting that and it was fabulous! -I was offered the remote to the TV in the treatment room. Dang! -Dr. Condie returned to the treatment room to say she would see me in July. As a "woman of a certain age", I have seen a lot of dentists. And in Phoenix metro - and Gilbert in particular - there looks to be an oversaturation of dental professionals. Although I now live 24 miles from the Desert Springs Dental, we will continue to be patients of Dr. Condie. Best service. No price gauging. They take our insurance. There isn't a high enough rating available for me to give this practice for what they deserve. I recently had to have work done on a broken tooth. Fortunately for me I found Dr. Condie and her extremely professional and friendly team. I broke a molar on an M & M chocolate peanut of all things. Aleisha, at the front office, was happy to fit me in to doctor Condie's schedule within a week. For whatever reason I'm extremely uneasy at dental appointments. But I had nothing to worry about. From the moment I walked into her beautiful office until my treatment was successfully completed, I was made to feel like a very welcomed guest. All of Dr. Condie's team are super friendly and yet extremely skilled and proficient. Rebecca was not only able to put me at ease but was very gentle as she worked on me. This is a new dental office for me and my wife. They have treated us very well and the service we have received thus far has been excellent. I have to have occasional deep root cleanings done, which is normally done by a Hygienist, but at this office the Dentist performs this procedure. She has been very courteous and professional.
