I have neglected seeing a dentist for quite some time because I have an awful fear of pain due to extreme cold sensitivity. I had a favorite practice I went to in Illinois and I would travel there for my care until the practice was finally closed due the practice relocating out of state. I tried a different practice in Gilbert over a year ago and had an awful experience. I was talking with someone about my dilemma and she highly recommended Serenity Dental - so I ripped off the band-aid and gave them a call. Whenever I would call any other practice I was always told my asks were not feasible. My ask was: Warm or room temp water rather than cold, 4 shots of novacaine, the use of the Synapse Dental Eraser (and nobody has this tool - but it is truly miraculous at blocking out pain). In the absence of the dental eraser my ask was to add Nitrous (laughing gas) in addition to the warm water & novacaine. I was told they don't typically warm water ahead of time but they would do so for me and I was also told that the novacaine & nitrous was totally doable. I went in for my initial visit and got my teeth cleaned, x-rays, etc. Everyone in the practice was so very kind to me. They really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. The dentist even said he would provide me a prescription to obtain the dental eraser so that it can be used when needed at an appointment. I need to go back to take care of 2 cavities & have a crown. This is the first time in a long time that the idea of going back isn't giving me awful anxiety. Jess was the one that did the teeth cleaning for me and she is just a sweetheart. I also got to see Dr. Bhatt to discuss the needed care. He was super kind and really assured me that I came to the right place. So if anyone suffers from severe anxiety like me over dental visits - I would strongly encourage you to give this practice a try. This practice is truly the best - and I already love them more than the other practice I went to back in Illinois for over 25 years. Have been coming here for over 2 years now, Dr. Bhaat and his team are excellent! You are always greeted warmly, no matter how early your appt in the morning maybe! My husband has been a patient for close to 5 years and has high praises of the entire team, even if it is a delicate operation. The dental hygenists are always very prompt and always do a great job! Had Dr. Bhatt do a crown placement on me and my mouth hurt for over two weeks. It's was beyond painful. The word Serenity is a joke! There's nothing serene about an aching mouth for two weeks. I could barely move my jaw. So I would never go back, after that experience. While my father was visiting he had a bridge come unglued (two teeth) My husband took him into have it glued back on, while I was at work. He purposely wouldn't chew on that side of the mouth. It came out while he was rinsing his mouth out with Listerine. I called and left a message after hours and told them that you charged me $205 for a cemented bridge that fell out after 5 days while my father was rinsing his mouth out with Listerine. I got a return call (a message was left by Dr. Nuttaki. Never spoke to him.) Then I got a call from Amanda where she called and and asked me to call her. She said we'll reimburse you the $106. Everything was cordial between us. I guess if you call the Dr's out on their lousy work and over priced job, they get really upset like a bunch babies! No arguing between us, I only called to tell them (left a message) that the bridge fell out after 5 days and I was charged, $76 for the Consultation, $28 for images, $106 for cementing the bridge back in. Now keep in mind he was only visiting and they did all this bs, for what and why? He was never going to see the guy again and it was a simple glue job. This was a chance for them to redeem themselves. Highway robbery and you wonder why these Dr's only work 4 days a week? It's because they over charge the heck out of you! All dentist do! They said they would reimburse me the $106, which was very nice of them, tell Dr. Nuttaki thank you very much. That was their decision, I was concerned about the bridge falling out after such a short period of time. A few days later my husband and I get a letter stating that they wouldn't be handling our dental needs any longer. After something like this and what I went through with Dr. Bhatt and my aching jaw, I think it was clear I wouldn't be returning and the cleaning work they do is horrible!! They polish your teeth first and barely any cleaning was done on me. I'm use to getting a deep cleaning and they barely do anything and get all they can from out of your insurance. So why would I allow them to clean my teeth again? My really high end sonic tooth brush does such a great job it doesn't even let plaque build up. So I guess this is why they cleaned the teeth the way they did. Bottom line I feel like they are a huge rip off!! That's why I never went back after experiencing what I experienced with Dr. Bhatt. My jaw killed me!!! I have never had that much pain from a prep and crown placement and they wonder why I wasn't interested in returning? Then to do all this other stuff with my father, knowing he didn't live here, would never see them again, yet all he was there for was to cement his bridge back in. He said super glue did a better job then the cement did, he doesn't have the funds to pay $2000 (+) for a new bridge. Simple fix would have sufficed. He lives on a fixed income at age 86! Do they care no. It's all about money!! Dr. Nuttaki never once stated how long the temporary cement job would last, that's why I called. Then they play the game by turning this around on me, like I'm the bad guy? No you are the bad guys by charging me all these cost for what? Totally unnecessary there by I was questioning why all these charges if this was a temporary fix job. Try being honest. Don't lie and make statements like you told him it would only last 5 days. Not one dentist I know would know, would know how long a temporary crown would stay on. Yet Dr. Nuttaki had the magical number of 5 days? What a croc! As for the women who work there, they are lovely. I never had a problem with them, I only returned a call, spoke to Amanda and she said Dr. Nuttaki would reimburse me my $106. She and who ever else answers the phone there were very nice and I was pleasant with them. So why all the crazy stories about me being hard or mean to your staff? You did the bad work, no one else. So why should I take it out on your staff? You left me in tears, because my mouth hurt so bad. Dr Bhatt grow up! Enough w/childish behavior. After what I experienced, I even told them that my mouth was killing me after he worked on me. They promised me Dr. Bhatt would never do any work on me again. many times they called to try to get me back in for cleanings, I'd ignore the calls. Then you send a letter telling us to get lost, find another provider. Now who's the nasty person here? You need to grow up! Plus I wasn't ever going to go through the pain I went through with my jaw after Dr. Bhatt hurt the heck out of me. So tell me which part isn't the truth? I haven't been back! read more

On every level, this is the best dentist office that I have ever visited. They are modern, the staff is very friendly, they don't make you wait and Dr. Bhatt is simply the best at what he does. Over the past 4 years, I've had a deep cleaning, a tooth extracted and a crown all with minimal discomfort. It's amazing how attentive they are to make sure you aren't experiencing any unnecessary pain. Growing up I've always had great dentists. When my latest dentist retired I didn't think much about it. The dentist that bought the practice replaced a crown. The new crown kept hurting and bleeding. In the end, I got a root canal and a new dentist. The 2nd dentist was finding non-existent cavities he wanted to fill. The next dentist didn't report any cavities, but wanted to replace a cracked filling. The new filling ended up cracking the tooth after a month. My friend recommended Dr. Bhatt. He's extremely nice and seems to care about his patients. One of the assistants was telling me about the team providing free dental work to the underserved people of Kenya. The office uses digital x-rays which use much less radiation than traditional x-rays. It provides an instantaneous picture on the screen. They also have an endoscope. They can show you exactly what's wrong. They also have several pay-for-view channels you can watch as they work on you. Dr. Bhatt put on a crown on one tooth and removed a cracked tooth. No pain except for the initial injection, and minor bleeding. Reminds me of my old dentist. No worries. He knows what he's doing. read more

I went 2 years without going to a dentist due to multiple bad experiences with dentists and dentist offices. I have periodontal disease, so I knew I had to go, but to say I dreaded it is huge understatement. I also have clinical depression, so my anxiety about going was massive. I live near Higley and Queen Creek and saw the sign for Serenity Dental on the corner. I looked them up on Google and saw they got a 5* rating, so I hit their web site. It seemed to indicate they were hyper-focused on understanding their customers, but I see that type of lip service often, so I looked up their reviews. Well, their reviews indicated they really are friendly and focused on patient's needs. Also, a 5* rating on BOTH Google and Yelp is extremely rare, so I called to make an appointment. There's a saying that you can always tell the quality of a Mexican restaurant by their Salsa. I've always found the same to be true of office reception. When I called to make an appointment I spoke with Robin, and she was tremendous from the get-go. She was friendly, professional, and super nice. She wasn't at all in hurry to get me off the phone. I forgot to call her back with my insurance info and she left me a nice reminder voicemail later the next day. If the salsa analogy was correct, I just may have found my new dentist office! So, two days later I show up for my appointment at 7am... I expected a sleepy office with staff getting ready for a day. Man, was I wrong. My salsa analogy was just spot on. The friendly, professional attitudes continued the moment I entered the office. I was greeted with a cheerful smile and a firm handshake by (Nannette, I think). She asked if she could get me anything and I jokingly asked for a cup of black coffee, within a few minutes she hooked me up with an awesome cup! The next thing I know, Robin was there greeting me with a smile and a hand shake too. So far so good! Within 2 mins of turning in the paperwork, the door opens and Tammy greets me with another handshake and bright smile. She immediately began explaining what was about to happen. I was already shocked by the previous attention I received, and here is Tammy continuing that same attention, and then some. She actively listened and heard everything I said. She proceeded to explain what was about to happen, answered all my questions and immediately went to work getting x-rays. Nannette was the gal behind the camera and Tammy introduced us. Another real handshake and huge smile. She explained she was going to work with Tammy to do the numbers thing on my gums, and then the doctor would be in. I've been through the numbers too many times in the last 10 years. Tammy said they had worked together as team doing this process many times and you could totally tell! I didn't have any time to be worried about anything. They talked to me during the process and they finished the numbers thing in record time. I honestly expected some discomfort, but they treated me like I was a porcelain doll. I wasn't just in good hands, I was in the best hands. By the time Dr. Bhatt got there, Nannette and Tammy had already completed their jobs and explained everything so well, I had very few questions for the doctor. Dr. Bhatt is super pleasant and really easy to talk with, but it's his sincerity that hooked me. There are no airs about this guy and I never once felt talked down to (my Kryptonite). He truly just wants to do what needs to be done, on the time frame that works for me. I tried to compliment on his amazing office and staff and he was humble about it. Tammy walked me to checkout and stayed to assist and chatted with me until we were done. Of course, the young lady (dangit, forgot her name) at checkout shook my hand and was wonderfully personable and professional. My experience at Serenity Dental wasn't just a great experience, it was the best possible experience and a memorable moment. I'm not only not worried about returning to get extensive work done, I'm looking forward to it. There isn't a more pleasant, capable and genuinely friendly staff anywhere. read more

I had made an appt for my first visit for this week but something came up so I called and canceled it last week itself. Well, I got a call stating I missed my appointment and I should find a different provider. I told the staff member that I called and canceled my appointment. She stated there are no notes stating you canceled. I am a provider by profession in a medical field and I know the big difference between canceling and no showing for appointment. Why would I waste someones appointment time slot when I do not like someone else wasting mine. First of all, I had called. And if there are no notes, it is your internal error; not my fault. Secondly, if you want me to find another provider why waste your time even calling me asking me to find another provider. Which after this rude call I am certainly doing that! We were in transition of insurance and this dentistry was recommended by a friend of ours. At the time I called - only giving a week and a half notice to get in before the end of the month - the front receptionist was so friendly and stated she would do anything she could to get us in by the end of the month if they had a cancellation. Only assuming this was a nice gesture I searched for more offices for us to get into. The thing that truly impressed me was Serenity dental called today as she had a cancel. Serenity Dental has the most amazing hygienists and Dr. Bhatt is fantastic. They understand how traumatic a dental procedure can be and they really do their best to accommodate the patient and make the experience pleasant. Everyone is very knowledgable, friendly and they really work around your schedule (I was able to get an appointment at the same time for myself, my husband and my mother- so we could carpool). The equipment is state of the art, they offer X-rays and dental photography and you can view the images on the overhead monitor (you can also watch movies on the monitor). My son needed his tooth worked on. Not only did I get an early appointment but it turned out that it was worse than we thought. They made extra time too get him fully taken care of that day. My dad had to leave so we were going to reschedule bc we wouldn't have a ride home. Mia offered to give us a ride home back to Liberty Lake so my son could get the care he needed. It melted my heart that she and the office went above and beyond for us!!! I was worried about my son being in pain and too offer us a ride not only home but to get his prescriptions as well! Just moved to Gilbert AZ from New Jersey. After being with great dentist in New Jersey for last 19 years, I was a bit apprehensive about finding a new dentist here in Gilbert. My wife did little research, we tried a dentist in Chandler area and we were not impressed at all. Then we went Serenity Dental. I have to say that they are amazing. Great people, fantastic doctor super friendly and super honest.
