I'm not one to rave about any medical service as I have been someone that has been burned more than anything else. That being said, I started visiting Parkview Dental a few years ago, and Dr. Schmidt is the only dentist I have been to who I feel confident visiting. I had years of neglect going in, and his office has not only worked with me to overcome my anxieties around the medical field but also to help me improve my lifestyle and get my teeth back in order. He is always upfront about what is needed going in and really cares about your well-being. The entire office staff is also absolutely incredible. Nicole, the office manager, is always smiling and will work with you on anything you need to ensure that you are able to get the help you need. The front desk is always welcoming when you walk in the door, and if you need a teeth cleaning, Javier is your guy (honestly, he is amazing). The entire office makes you feel comfortable anytime you visit. Where do I start. Just don't go here. Went in for a cleaning and ended up doing two crowns. Fine - needed. Got estimate. Said 2300.00. What wasn't right was they did not put in contracted pricing and did not run it through insurance. Needless to say - confirm your bill before you pay. Ensure they have put it through before you pay. I only caught it after EOB was sent. Not a phone call from them. They overcharged. Took 6 months for ME to catch it. Then they argued it. Shame on them for not catching it. I had to bring in MY excel file to show how it was over paid and they owed us money. If they are doing it to me and my other half, we are not the only ones this is happening to. Finally resolved, but should have been correct at time of services. Too many around for a "accident" like this. They also overcharged my partner by 300.00. Stay away go to someone else. read more

Listen to the other reviews about unnecessary crowns. I came here after being scammed by my previous dentist. I informed them of this in booking and it was discussed during my appointment my last experience being over charged and filling cavities that weren't there. So you would think they would try to be different right? My cleaning was amazing with Colleen and it was all going well until the end when dentist informs me I will need a $3000 crown due to a previous filling having some overhang. When I asked the front desk for a payment plan she went to talk to her boss and came back with a "discounted rate" am I supposed to jump for joy? Why wasn't this the price to begin with. Mind you the "discounted rate" was still over $1800. I have never needed a crown before and something felt fishy so I requested my x rays to have my cousin who is a pediatric dentist look at them. When I requested my x-rays, they were very pushy and asked me if I was going to be switching offices. You are not my office you are an office I went to once. After getting my x rays I asked for them to cancel my next cleaning, which was also booked by them being pushy. They said they will remove it, but then they asked if I'll be coming back. Does it sound like I'll be coming back? My cousin confirmed my tooth having a slight overhang was no emergency and a crown would be excessive and highly unnecessary. All it needs is either to be shaved down to change filling not a crown! So after filling out my paperwork, informing you of my anxiety coming to the dentist, you were going to have me get such an invasive unnecessary expensive procedure? That's so cruel honestly. I do not trust Dr. Schmitt to give me a correct well explained plan for fixing certain dental problems. I felt like I had to ask three or four times for an explanation and still did not get a thorough one. Also on pricing I would ask for the entire dollar amount that would be owed out of pocket even though they said they took my insurance, and they would give me a dollar amount and then the next time I went in they would give me another dollar amount in addition to what they said it would originally cost. read more

Short version: Found my new dentist office! Long version: I had been getting the flyers in the mail for a long time. Parkview Dental, with a cute family photo and new patient special. I chose to come here because it said traditional values, my husband joked maybe that means wooden teeth like the founding fathers lol. Anyway I was pleasantly surprised by the care I received! The best cleaning I've had in years! Or maybe ever! Javier was my hygienist and he was super thorough. I left feeling like a million bucks. Another thing that stood out was the attitude of everyone there. I usually leave the dentist thinking I'm one bite of Carmel corn away from having no teeth, but every comment I heard was positive! I am so happy that when we moved here, I decided to go to Parkview Dental. The staff is awesome. Everybody always has a great smile, and they all take the time to do a wonderful job. My husband, my daughter, and I all see Dr. Schmidt, and he has been great to us. He was able to finish an implant that other dentists said was impossible to be done. I found that they are very transparent in the billing process, and I never felt pushed into any treatment. Only professional opinions and explanations on what was the best for me and my family. DISHONEST DENTIST! After each visit they sit you down in their sales office (feels like the pressure they give you when buying a car), trying to sell you treatments you do NOT need. For example, both my husband and I were told we needed thousands of dollars worth of crown work done. It felt suspicious as we take great care of our teeth, so we got seen elsewhere. And it turns out neither one of our teeth need ANY treatment! What a disgusting dentist this Schmitt guy is, trying to rip you off and become richer. My recent experience with Dr. Schmidt at Parkview Dental was exceptional. After I mentioned a sharp corner on a molar, Dr. Schmidt explained using my X-rays that I had a large, older filling and crowning the tooth would be advisable before the tooth failed. The follow-up visit and the process of preparing the tooth went very smoothly. I hardly felt the numbing injection and my temporary crown fit so well I forgot I had it. The experience of having my finished crown was put it was quick and it fit perfectly. I feel better knowing I don't have to worry about a tooth breaking due to an old filling. One of the things I hate the most is transferring my care to a new dentist or doctor. It's a lot of fussy work. Parkview Dental made the transition so easy and I'm delighted I made the switch. When I say delighted, I mean ecstatic. First, Dr. Schmidt helped me through a nagging dental problem that required not only smarts but good listening skills. He worked with me to solve the problem. You couldn't give me free dental elsewhere, Dr. Schmidt and his amazing team work on a whole different level than other dentist. It starts with Serge who handles billing and appointments. She is friendly, professional, organized and has any information you need at the ready. You come in to a beautiful facility and are seated in large lobby where you don't have time to check your phone as one of his excellent assistants Keely or Alena or Dr. Schmidt himself welcomes you back to your large and modern treatment room. Next is what really seals the deal. You're not a client here you are a patient. I had an initial visit at a different "dentist" that I'd love to slam but Dr. Schmidt is too professional to allow that. I'll just say I wasn't all Smiles when I left that other dentist with a 13k quote from their business suit wearing "care consultant" and they missed the root canal I needed. Dr. Schmidt clearly described with state of the art xrays, on a screen you can see from your chair, which teeth needed attention first, and why, and with the proper information you're now able to make an informed decision. At the other guys you immediately feel like you're at a car dealer and separating you from your money is their only goal.
