First and foremost, I owe them $213.19. However, they had the incorrect contact information for over 3 months. They kept leaving me messages saying they had something important for me. I ignored them because I thought they were trying to sell me something. Well, that something was a bill. They just recently got the correct address and sent it to me. With recently having a baby, we have not had the chance to call and pay it. Then we receive this lovely letter threatning, "Please pay your balance now so we can avoid any further action, which will be unpleasant for both of us." Well...bring it on suckers, or send it to collections. I won't pay you a dime when you threaten me like that over $200. After posting this review, I got a call from the dentist himself threatening to take me to small claims court. Calling me a "tough guy" because I told him he can do that if he wants to. read more

I came from a very negative experience from Affinity Dental and had to stop mid treatment from them. I then found San Tan Smiles through a friend. Had my first appointment today and it was wonderful. My concerns felt heard and they were so thorough. Doc Davis gave a second opinion over a supposed root canal and that we can fill it instead! Relieved is an understatement since i was told that would have been necessary from Affinity. Thankful for the hygenist too, she got me laughing and it was lighthearted after i explained my anxiety. Currently Awaiting to do my fillings, but so far, they genuinely care about your well-being and want you to feel so comfortable! I have severe levels of anxiety for the dentist, so Their honesty and providing me next steps without feeling like a dollar sign was just an awesome feeling. I have never had issues before this year. Brittany has always done a great job with my cleaning. Dr. Davis has always been great with my dental work. But I recently got charged a cancellation fee for an appointment. This year I developed neurological issues, I explained this to the receptionist staff, they refused to cancel. I told them I couldn't come in due to severe dizziness due to the neurological issues. A month passed and they billed me, I explained to them the situation again they didn't drop the fee. After having a bad experience at another dentist office, we were on the hunt for a new one. From calling to see if they took our insurance, scheduling appointments, checking in and checking out; we have been treated with respect and kindness. This week I went in for a crown that needed done for a cracked tooth with a monster filling. The person who gave me the numbing shot (Stephanie?) did such an amazing job, I did not feel the needle go in. Dr. Davis did a wonderful job explaining things as he went along, and even apologized for having to take a second impression because the first one was not perfect. Today that changed , from the time of talking to them on the phone , to walking into the office with friendly staff , no I didn't even have to worry about handling The insurance, to actually sitting in Back in the scary chair , for me scary chair ,I was so nervous from my bad experience before , I thought this would never happen . I really only go to dentist when I absolutely have to (root canals ). About every 6 years . This whole experience changed me forever , so nice ,made me feel relaxed , told me what was going to happen at all times , told me I was in charge , wow , what could I say but thank you all so much . When Dr. Davis walked in, I was ready to be told the worst , but because of the person working on me , his sister , sorry forgot her name , because of my nerves lol , she told everything , cleaning was so gentle , x-Rays she took her time with me cause of my gag reflex , so impressed ., I know longer feel nervous about returning to this place BTW already booked my 6 mod cleaning , I never ever do that . I would like to say that the Smiles at San Tan Ranch Family Dentisitry were so easy to work with on my last 2 visits. Amanda, the dental hygienist is so thorough in tooth cleaning and also pointed out a fracture in my rear molar today. She filmed the image and displayed it to me prior to going to get Dr. Nelson. Amanda Is vigilant in making sure your teeth are thoroughly cleaned and well maintained. She is capable of spotting problems before they become expensive ones with your teeth. Finally, she is well rounded individual who has a HUMAN side to her that you just can't teach. As for Dr. Nelson, I loved his professional demeanor and his ability to be a straight shooter for day 1. He removed my wisdom tooth without anesthesia in about 25 minutes about 4 months ago. Was antsy about going to the dentist because I was so sure the last dentist I saw had royally screwed up my mouth. Good to know they didn't! And it was this office that was finally able to go over their work and discuss it with me (unlike my last dentist). I'm so glad I found this office! They take the time to answer all your questions, take a billion pictures/X-rays of your teeth to make sure nothing's wrong, and this is officially the first time I've had a cleaning where the dental hygienist went carefully over my sensitive spots and didn't do a "these are your gums" shaming session. Dr. Davis convinced me to get some aesthetic crowns to close the gaps in my front teeth. Four years later, 3 of the 5 crowns he put in have chipped and cost me another 1500 to fix. It's a scam that will have you paying for repairs for the rest of your life. Not worth it! Not sure what composite he is using for his crowns but they are definitely not the best. Other dentists (who have fixed the chips) have been curious as to why they have begun chipping with so little time passing. Don't trust him. read more

I've been going here for several years and have had great experiences every visit. I've never had issues with anything, period. They always give me a friendly call to remind me about my appointments, and are not pushy when I've had to reschedule...multiple times. Everyone of their staff members has been very nice and put me at ease with my cleanings and surgery. My hygenist last visit was very personable and comforting, and Dr. Jones has always been nice during my interactions with him. All in all I'm glad I randomly picked this office a few years back. I have been so happy with this place. We have gone to other dentists and they have tried to ripped us off. One dentist told me that my 8 year old needed 4 crowns and that her teeth were totally messed up. I was shocked because we had just moved to AZ six months before that and her other dentist never said anything about these problems. How could her teeth deteriorate that much in 6 months. We found San Tan Smiles through a friend and we have been so pleased. Dr. Jones was able to fix my daughter's teeth without any type of sedation with this awesome drill he has. Plus, it was under $200 unlike the thousands of dollars that the other dentist wanted to charge me. Most of the cavities my kids have had have been easy to fix with their equipment. Great dental practice! The administrative staff was very helpful in getting my appointments set up and called me to remind me of my appointments. The operatory staff was courteous and remember me every time, asking about my family and school. Very professional and quick, all of my appointments start on time and finish quickly. I had my lumineers done by Dr. Jones and they truly look fabulous. Very natural looking with a good white tone but not overly bleached looking. I am so grateful I found this place. I have severe panic with dentists due to a very traumatic experience with a previous oral surgery. I have had a bone graph, dental implant, fillings, and plan on doing Invisalign and 2 more dental implants with this office. The staff and Dr. are more genuine than any I've ever met. I suffer from multiple immunological disorders and they find ways to work in conjunction with those to give me quality care. My 3.5 year old daughter and I had our first appointment today at San Tan Smiles in Gilbert and I can't say enough wonderful things about the office, staff and entire experience! Let me first say that, while trying to find a dentist in the area, San Tan called me back to help me schedule an appointment and check my insurance coverage, even on a day they weren't open! Amazing... The front office staff was amazingly helpful upon check in... They called my insurance company to be sure that my visit was covered and made sure that the registration process was very smooth. They also turned on some cartoons for my daughter while we were waiting to keep her entertained. Then, during our appointment, I was able to take my daughter back with me so that she could watch while I had my teeth cleaned. Let me tell you, Brittany the hygienist is fabulous! She chatted with and entertained my daughter during my entire teeth cleaning and is absolutely wonderful with children!! She was very professional and did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was extremely fast with the x-rays and very gentle during the cleaning. Dr. Davis was great as well and listened to my concerns about my teeth (not having gone to the dentist in awhile), TMJ, etc. He was also wonderful with my daughter (and has 5 children of his own!) He offered a realistic treatment plan and makes you feel very much at ease in the chair. All in all, I'll echo the other reviews here to say that it is very evident that patient care is extremely important at San Tan Smiles. Wonderful dentist office! I was long overdue (YEARS) for a dental appointment and desperately needed a check up and cleaning. I have had not-so-great experiences at previous dentists and was dreading the scolding that I expected to receive. Dr. Davis and staff pleasantly surprised me! Every single person in this practice is very kind and friendly. My cleaning was pain free and the experience was far better than expected. I'll never switch to another dentist unless I'm forced to. Wait time is basically non existent; they've called us back right away every time. Dr. Davis is great. He had to perform some extensive work on my daughter and she even likes him! That's saying something for a 14 year old girl who just had a root canal. If you're afraid of the dentist or haven't been in a loooong time, go to Santan Smiles. You'll be glad you did! read more

Dr Davis is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. He is conservative and won't push a treatment on me that he doesn't deem completely necessary. The support staff is great too. The hygienists are quick and gentle and very professional. My teeth feel the best they've felt in years-- and I go to the dentist regularly. I've been coming to Dr. Davis' office for just over a year now. Since, last July himself and his staff have treated me as a part of their dental family. I had a few fillings I needed to have taken care of and Dr. Davis was able to get me in very quickly and then advised me I was a great candidate for invisalign. I had a horrible experience at my previous dental office and never completed invisalign so I was skeptical. However; after seeing many cases that Dr. Davis has completed I decided to go through with the treatment for invisalign. I started treatment in April; and can't believe the way everything is coming together. Dr. Davis has showed me multiple time s of what my clin-check looks like which shows the process between each set of trays. I'm happy I decided to go through with the process because I can already see such a major change in my smile. I thought that I was happy; and now I'm even more happy - but, I can't even imagine how excited I'll be once I'm done. Just a few more short months! :) I recently had a cleaning with Brittany and she went over everything from health history updates to asking me how I like my invisalign. I love that the office makes you feel welcomed and that they genuinely care. They seem like a great dentist, but I rescheduled one too many times with too late of a notice. Guess I had that one coming, so I'll pay the fee. Really though, you'd think being in the hospital with family would have been a decent excuse, but I'll accept that I signed a 24 hour agreement. I had both front teeth fixed here, and I'm still not thrilled with the result. I asked the dentist to fix it, he said they changed my bite in order to protect the new, now less strong, but filled portion of the tooth. Actually it's just irritating and annoying me constantly. He wouldn't fix it the way I wanted. I wish they would have been more willing to listen to me. After all, I am the one who will be using these teeth every single day. After such great reviews, I really wanted to like them, but sadly my search for a dentist will continue. Hopefully the next one can fix the poor quality of the fix done here. read more

Terrible place and terrible office staff. I went in for a root canal and crown in February and I was given a print out of my cost based on my insurance. I paid up front and now 6 months later they want another $500 and they refuse to accept their error. The best part is while I was getting the root canal done Dr Davis broke off a file in my tooth and told me he did and said sorry. The piece of file is still in my tooth as we speak. I would not recommend this office for anything at all and I will be going to the medical board for the file being broken off in my tooth read more

Long review but very enlightening on how dishonest dentists can be. I went here because they had great reviews. They claimed I had severe gum disease and needed a very expensive deep cleaning. I couldn't afford it so asked if I could get a basic cleaning. The office manager lied to me and told me it was dangerous/illegal to give me anything less than a deep cleaning. I went to Dr Zia Ausher down the road to get a second opinion. San tan smiles refused to send me my X-rays they took, told me it was illegal. The new dental office told me they were lying and helped me get my X-rays from San tan smiles. SO GLAD THEY DID! Dr Zia Ausher gave me the basic cleaning and told me I should consider getting a deep cleaning later down the road and quoted me at a way lower price. He was so helpful and honest. So San tan smiles lost my business and I will tell everyone not to go near this place. It is so shameful that San tan smiles lied to me TWICE because dental work is so expensive and people trust authority figures. read more

I went in with a swollen mouth and a serious infection that needed help right away, especially because I am type one diabetic. I have pretty good control over my diabetes but not the best, I'm not perfect. When I went in to see Dr. Davis he told me he couldn't treat me until I got "better control" of my diabetes. I was honestly astonished he said that. My blood sugars were crazy and we're going to continue to be crazy until my infection was healed. I was in pain and needed help so I had to find a different dentist who would help me right away, and I did. And he said he didn't understand why Dr. Davis would say that because it's not true. I'm better now, but no thanks to San Tan smiles. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for this week. I don't recall scheduling it and upon receiving a reminder text I attempted to call and cancel. The line rang a few times and disconnected. The next day I called back and someone answered and then hung up the call. I finally spoke to someone the day of my appointment to let them know I wouldn't be coming. I explained to the girl on the phone that I hadn't been about to get through and she stayed they were aware of phone issues going on. The manager called me back a few minutes later to tell me she would be charging me $50 for late cancelation. I told her I had tried to cancel with notice and couldn't get through due to the phone issue. She then said no other patients had a problem getting through and that she would be sending the late fee to collections. She hung up before I could respond. It was horrible service all the way around. I fully intend to fight the charge, as I even have phone records that show my attempts to call the office multiple times. read more
