Total mess at the Gilbert office. Used to be a great team there for last 5 years. Recently I tried to schedule a visit, and they associated me with a person in Yuma Arizona somehow in their system. Then I called and straightened it out -- and when I showed up for the appt, the hygienist was very crabby and unprofessional. Tried to upsell me on additional services, and when I declined and just asked for an annual teeth cleaning, they got upset and caught a big attitude. Moving to a different practice all together after that poor experience. read more

Had my teeth cleaned again by Ashton Garcia today. I love this office as everyone is so friendly! First Selena took x-rays next Dr. Cody Cutler came in to survey the x-rays & photo images. Ashton completed charting of my gums & then thoroughly polished, flossed & applied fluoride to them. I've never had any dental hygienist take that amount of time in a dental appointment. read more

Tawny is the absolute best dental hygienist I have ever experienced. She's very easy going and she is also understanding about people who are afraid of the dentist. She's personable and you can tell she enjoys her job. Dr. Cutler is the best. He took care of a crown of mine that was not done correctly (by another dentist) and fixed it immediately. On top of that he's quick, efficient and friendly. My favorite thing about Dr. Cutler is that he doesn't talk you into dental work that you don't need and he doesn't try to use scare tactics. I will always go to this office. Finally, the ladies at the front desk are always friendly and polite and they are amazing. I am very dissapointed in the quality of the services I received from this dental office. I have never had a problem in the past with dentist until this one. I needed a crown last year and they tried to up sell me to the "in the office" type where they did not have to send out for them and done right there. I chose the dental crown my insurance covers which needs to be sent out to be made and then placed, the cheaper opiton. When I arrived at my appointment they advised me they would give me the in-house type for the same price. I should have known that it would be the lesser strength of the two as within a year the crown has broken off. I contacted the office today and they advised that I would need a exam and xray and would have to be charged for this as well as the repair/ replacement of the sub-par crown. I couldn't believe that they would charge for exam and xray? Apparently, the crown that they so kindly gave me did not have any warantees. I am so dissapointed in this practice. I have never had a crown break in over 30+ years. I will not go back and I already found a practice that will give me a free exam and xray for the repair. If you care about your loved ones go ANYWHERE ELSE. Oral surgery with promised general anesthesia was not done, and when patient yelled in pain the staff gathered around and began talking loudly so people in the waiting room couldn't hear clearly but I know the sound of my loved one's voice. I was told later that when expressing pain, they ridiculed patient as well, mocking the claims. Patient knew everything they talked about, loudly the whole time and people in waiting room could hear all the yelling. Then patient has special requirements for home pain meds and they did not send prescriptions for the needed ones, but some other substitutes. Also, patient's work had okayed a two week leave because the job is heavily phone related and the !@#^!@#^& dentist/surgeon/inquisitor scratched it out and wrote in only seven days. I have been with this office since 2011 . They had amazing care and service but recently moved to have a bigger office problem now is customer service and patient care is not there anymore. Went in with an infection they said they would call In a script they didn't so I called 3 times to try and get it filled . I am not a fan of the dentist by any means, in fact it had been around 5 years since my last visit. The only thing that brought me back was a chipped tooth. What I loved about this place is the late hours on a Wednesday. I didn't have to take work off to get checked out. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They made sure I was happy. They would even joke around with me. I liked that. I worked with Dr. Young and he seemed to actually enjoy his work. I imagine that sticking your hands in someone's mouth could get old after a while, probably why I never went into dental care. I would definitely go back to this office, even if I didn't have a root canal to get done. Billing department is unreachable. They are listed as an In-Network Provider for Met Life Insurance, but unfortunately, they do not accept the plan. Prior to service, we asked if they accepted the insurance and they said "Yes". Come to find out they do not and now want full payment for services. We did not find this out until 1 month later. I drive over 45 minutes to get to this dental office because it's worth it-my husband asked if we could please find a dental office closer by but there's no way I'm changing dental practices until I have no other option! They are professional, kind, respectful, helpful, flexible, and competent; everything you want from a dental office. The dental work I've had at this office is amazing, my Cerec crowns look just like my other teeth, and I will keep coming back to this location for as long as I feasibly can. If you are looking for a great dental office, that does amazing and beautiful dental work, and will help you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible-this is it! I've gone from going to the dentist once every ten years, due to a severe dental phobia, to about twice a year-and my smile reflects that positive change in such a great way. I would give less than 1 star if I could... I'm not one to give companies bad reviews left and right, but this one deserves it. So at the end of last year, the appeal of this place was that I could get my wisdom teeth and my braces done in the same place. I went in and they got a treatment plan going for me, and due to the fact that all of the employees there were super polite, everything was going well. They said I would get my wisdom teeth out, get "a couple" fillings done, and then get my braces - in that order. Great! When I first started to doubt them was when they said my wisdom teeth would be $1,500 out of pocket. ($5,600 before insurance.) They attributed this cost to the fact that I would need bone grafts to fill the holes. The price seemed pretty high to me, but due to the fact that they seemed knowledgable and trustworthy, I went ahead and coughed up the money and got my wisdom teeth done there. Then a few months later, my boyfriend went to get his wisdom teeth done here as well. They quoted him about they same price, and said he would need bone grafts as well. We arrived the day of his surgery prepared to pay ~$1,500 out of pocket again... When suddenly, the girl at the front desk said it'd only be $250 out of pocket, total. The front desk girl said "Oh, you don't need bone grafts so it'll be less!" Which was great... But why weren't we made aware of this before we came in? What made them change their mind between my boyfriend's last appointment and the day of the surgery? Did I REALLY need bone grafts back when I got mine done? Just seems like they're pretty disorganized and wishy-washy. (And btw, my bone grafts that were supposed to be completely closed and not leaking out bone particles anymore after 2-3 weeks, STILL occasionally leak out bone particles almost a year later. Seems like they did a poor job on them.) But, bear with me cuz I'm still not done yet... My real problem with this office is this: As I said before, the plan from the beginning was get wisdom teeth out, do a couple fillings, then get braces. But during my next appointment, they looked at my teeth and said I would need 16 fillings done. 16!!! They also said that due to the fact that my insurance would be maxed out for the year after every four fillings, it would take about 4 years to get them all done. 4 years! AND, after all of this, in the end it would be roughly $8,000 out of pocket to get them all done. Needless to say... I went home extremely upset. I'd been looking forward to finally being able to get braces for years, and now I'd to have to wait 4 years and pay a ridiculous amount of money (that I can't afford) before I could get them? Of course, friends and family suggested I get a second opinion... And I finally did. And WOW... My new dentist was absolutely appalled at what Towne Center told me. He said I had TWO teeth that needed fixing... 1 crown and 1 filling. He went ahead and got them done within 4 days of my first appointment, and I only paid $478.00 out of pocket. Now THAT's more like it! He says he's heard of Towne Center before and wasn't surprised for a second that they were trying to take me for a ride. And I even pushed him to be honest... If I really do have 16 cavities, I want your to tell me! I'm just looking for someone to be honest with me! But he urged that the rest of my teeth/fillings looked beautiful, and he would never go in and "fix" them in the condition they're in. Now I'm starting Invisalign at the end of the month. 4 years my a**! (Side note: Even stranger, I was shown x-rays of my teeth up close at both dentist's offices. At Towne Center, it was plain to see that there were black spots (cavities) EVERYWHERE on my teeth. So they had me convinced... Even though I have zero pain in any of my teeth, maybe I do have 16 cavities... But at my new dentist's office, I was shown new x-rays up close again. And other than my 2 teeth mentioned before, there wasn't a black spot in sight! No other cavities anywhere!! Not trying to sound too much like a conspiracy theorist... But it's just strange to me that there was such a drastic difference between the two x-rays. Towne Center turning up the contrast on their x-rays maybe? Not sure, but their x-rays were highly convincing, and made my teeth look MUCH worse than they are...) Anyway, long story short... Towne Center Dental was a MAJOR waste of money, waste of time, and overall a huge disappointment for me. Perfect example of a dentist trying to milk your insurance policy as much as they can and make the max amount of $$$ off you. Highly advise to anyone dealing with these people, go get a second opinion from an honest dentist before you jump through their hoops and pay these ridiculous prices... And highly advise the doctors at Towne Center take more care to give patients honest opinions. read more

Dr. Cutler and the team are always so friendly and wonderful to work with. They always take the time to listen to concerns and will probably always be my favorite dentist to visit. They always explain why a treatment is necessary and costs for it. I also love how the offer a lot of different services as well. So you can get everything done in one office. read more

I have to spread the word about Dr. Benjamin Hilton! I have had so much dental work that everytime I see a new dentist they say, "You have a filling so it needs to be replaced with a crown," but not Dr. Hilton. He took his time and evaluated my teeth and where other Dentisits said I needed a crown he advised me that nothing was wrong with that tooth. I have finally found a Dentist I trust and know that he's not trying to put a crown on every tooth at $1000. He will do everything to save you from a crown. Also Callaigh (Benefits Coordinator) was very helpful in making sure she helped me save money where I could. That's much appreciated with dental work. I have had $15,000-$20,000 in dental work over the years and spend countless hours in the dentist chair. I really enjoy this office and appreciate Dr. Hilton's honesty and efforts. Beyond frustrated with the scheduling at this office. They should disclose up front that the orthodontist is only in 1 maybe 2 days per week. It is nearly impossible to schedule appointments for the after school time frame and the few I have made I have been called a week out to cancel due to the doc not being in that day. They promote Saturday appointments but apparently that it's only for regular dental not ortho. If I don't want to keep pulling my son from school then his treatment gets pushed out two months for the next availability. We signed on for the affordable monthly payments but will be getting his next phase done at a full time orthodontist office even if it costs more. Lesson learned read more

I have been going to Towne Center Dental Group since 2009, and I love them! Their customer service is exceptional, they are great with scheduling and are up front with costs. They are also great about payment plans and helping you find options for your treatment. I was seen on 4/15/14, and they were able to fix the tooth either same day or within 48 hours, whichever worked better for my schedule. They are great with communication and help put the nervous patient at ease. Friendly, courteous and extra supportive. This company is also involved in community activities to better the dental care needs and general care needs of the local and international community at large. I have had bad experiences with other dentists and this office restored my confidence in getting quality virtually pain free dental care. The ability to make crowns in the office with state of the art equipment saved me return visits due to unreliable temporary crowns and discomfort for a week waiting on a dental lab to manufacture a new crown. The equipment is so accurate that when fitting the crowns there was virtually no adjustments to be made. Everything came out perfect the first time. RIP OFF ARTISTS. I went here about 10 years ago and I was told I needed thousands of dollars of Periodontal work done. Shortly after I moved to Minnesota and went for my 6 month check up with a dentist there. At the conclusion of my cleaning I learned that I had an old filling that needed to be replaced. I asked the dentist about the need for Periodontal work and he asked if another dentist said I needed it? Yes, I said. That's ridiculous he said. 6 months ago I went to another dentist in California and guess what, still no Periodontal work needed. So why write a review 10 years later? I was recently married and my wife relocated from California. Yesterday she went to the dentist and unknown to me she chose Towne Center. She called me after her appointment and let me know that she needed thousands of dollars worth of Periodontal work. Hold on honey, what dentist did you go to? Towne Center she said. Obviously she is going to another dentist moving forward. I read another post that said they are active in the community........easy to do when you are ripping off the public. Dr. Ian Young makes me feel comfortable and his empathetic approach is the best, he listens and responds in a way that makes you feel that you are the most special person in the room. He has a genuine interest in your well-being and his easy going approach puts you at ease. I would also like to mention the staff at Towne Center Dental Group is the best. They gave us a realistic dental plan of action and seem to understand the cost and time to get work done !!! I had my first visit to the office on Friday 3/15/2013. It was an emergency visit, fortunately the office was open... I didn't know most dentist offices were closed on Fridays. Town Center Dental Group was not only open, but they welcomed me in, the service was great, they offered me a payment plan option.. It was honestly everything I needed at that time. do not ever go to towne center dental group for any dental work. you would think you are buying a car. they will do an exam and then have someone check your insurace to see what is covered. that is great but the cost that they charge above the insurance is way to high. higher then the insurance says that i should have to pay (out of pocket). they have a person that just trys to close you, that is there job. i went in for a teeth cleaning and because i refused to pay $492.00 for a treatment that they wanted to do, they refused to clean my teeth. my wife had the same experience only they did clean her teeth. they should sell cars on the side. good thing i didn't give they my car keys. read more

I originally, a year ago, posted an Excellent review of Towne Center Dentistry. I had a ton of work done and it went pretty well. Always liked the dentist and his assistant is awesome. I've had an appointment set for 6 months and I found out this morning that I could not make it (at 5:00pm) I called them at 9:00 to ask to re-schedule. couldn't get me in until May 31st!!!! Not only that, but they want to charge me a $25.00 cancellation fee!! Really??? I have spent, between myself and my insurance, over $10,000.00 to them and they charge me a cancellation fee for the 1st and only time I've ever cancelled!!! I'm tempted to move on from them.... read more

Would Not Recommend. I am a snowbird who just needed a tooth pulled - my out-of-pocket portion being $96.50. It was recommended that I consider having a bridge and the total cost to me for the extraction and bridge was presented - indicating it would be the total after my insurance paid their portion. Long story short, they had never submitted the pre-determination for treatment benefits, and I ended up paying $814 over and above their initial total presented to me. I have never been to a dentist who had not requested and been given a pre-determination of benefits prior to treatment. Just a FYI read more

I live in az for the winter months and have a regular dentist in mn .I just wanted to get a cleaning,the dentist wouldnt order the cleaning unless i had x-rays first,I declined the x-rays and he told me it is a state law that new pts need x_rays first,I called the az dental board and they said it is not a law.They just wanted to gouge my insurance by doing unneeded x-rays,also the lobby floors are dirty and the chairs are stained as well as the ceiling tiles,all in all i guess they did me a favor by not cleaning my teeth.i would not recommend this place to any one,by the way i had my teeth cleaned by another office and wasent bullied into unneeded x-rays.thanks read more
