I have been going to DR. Goates and his staff for over 8 years now and have had only exceptional care. His team has always gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. This will be a long review as to explain the amount that Brandon has done for me would be hard to explain in a small paragraph. I have dealt with dental issues all growing up. My family all has had issues and a lot of it is genetic issues. I use to get anxiety going to the dentist. When I started seeing Brandon 8 years ago he was great at explaining things and making me feel comfortable. I started doing routine dental care because I now wasn't having the anxiety about going in because I could see how much he was helping me. My jaw has never sat correctly with my jaw alignment causing all the pressure to be on my front teeth. Which in turn caused extreme damage and loss of length on my front teeth. Brandon was so patient and thorough through the whole process of helping me decide what to do with my bite. In my pictures I will add to this review, you will see how much my teeth had been damaged over the years with the constant pressure being applied to my front teeth and what Brandon was able to do to create a beautiful smile and set me up in the future with a more stable bite. Brandon was able to do 12 crowns on the top to help build up the back of my teeth and make a more unified smile. Since having them done I have had minimal pain and almost forget that I had them done when I'm even eating. Brandon was very Thorough and he is a perfectionist with his work. I have heard on multiple occasions since having my teeth finished how amazing and natural they look. Most of the time they don't even know what's different which goes to show how natural they look. I love that he made them look so natural. I have had other people reaching out to see where I had my teeth done because they look so natural. I have also met other patient in passing at his office or finding out where I have gone for dental work, give raving reviews of him as well. I can see his staff and how happy they all are in his office and that also speaks loudly to the person he is and the atmosphere he has created. I highly recommend Brandon for any of your dental needs as I have gone through most of them with him and he has always does an exceptional job. I have recently visited Precision Dental for my six month cleaning and I am happy to say that I have found a dental office in Gilbert. This was my third visit. I had gone to the same dentist my whole life and I moved recently. For a while, I was driving a long distance to go to my old dentist. finding a new dentist was going to be hard. I went to one, I won't mention the name but I was not pleased to say the least. I immediately started looking again. I found Dr. Goates and Precision. Do not go to Precision Dental. This company does not care about its patients and actually punishes you if you try to question their methods. My minor son went for a cleaning and without asking prior to his appointment or on the day of his appointment whether he had recent X-rays, went ahead and gave them and of course as denied by insurance. When I questioned this, they said I should have known they would give them and should have said he had prior. Called back today to pay a statement with date of 4/20/23- they applied a 30% collections amount on the balance and said you have 30 days from the date of service. This despite having called nd questioned and them telling me to inquire to insurance. This place is a racket. There are 100s of dentists that won't cause you these problems. read more

I was having some tooth pain so I reached out to them yesterday. They are usually a few weeks out for appointments but they had a recent cancellation so they got me in today. They had reached out to my insurance and got everything approved before I even went in. When I got in, the lobby was very clean and beautiful. The receptionist was polite and helped me to fill out all the paperwork. They got me back quickly. Took xrays, did a general review of my teeth and then cleaned my teeth. Then the dentist came in examined my teeth and established that the tooth that was causing me pain in fact needed a root canal but that he is not in the practice of doing them. They called an endodontist that they knew and got me in not only within the same day but the same hour! This is by far one of thee best experiences I have had at a dentist! read more

We will no longer being coming to this practice, the office staff has become very rude and you can't depend on your scheduled appointment time. We confirmed our appointment and came to the appointment before the scheduled time, yet missed their confirmation text message, so when we arrive they wouldn't see the patient. Patient was on-time and had already confirmed the appointment.... Recommend seeking another dentist who cares for patients that show up on time and come to their appointments. As a provider myself, I would never do this to a patient. Poor provider ethics out of this practice! Wrong, we are patients. You just don't want people to be aware of how poor a practice you run. I'm very disappointed, my husband and I have been patients of Dr. Goates for years. I called to schedule an emergency appointment for a broken tooth and the best the scheduler could offer me was 2 weeks out. This is unacceptable and certainly not the care I have come to expect from this office. We called a dentist closer to our house with great reviews and they can get me in first thing tomorrow. I'm so disappointed by my experience on the phone today with the scheduler, there was no sympathy extended or a willingness to work me in to the schedule sooner. I have trust issues with dentists. My previous dentist lost my good faith for reasons that I don't care to get into here, but let's just say that he was a bit on the 'aggressive' side of the spectrum. I did a search for "conservative dentists" in Gilbert, and Precision Dental came up as a result (awesomely enough, from a fellow Yelp review!!!). Conservative dentists take a more patient-centric approach to practice (as opposed to the 'drill-it-and-fill-it' approach of more aggressive dentists), and this is what I was looking for. At my first appointment, I made it a point to ask how long the staff and Dr. Goates had been at the location- turns out that everyone there is very well-established and most of the people have been around for 5+ years, so it's not a revolving door, which was important to me. I enjoyed my first meeting with Dr. Goates. He has a very pleasant demeanor, and he was very forthcoming with answering my questions. Basically, he told me that he didn't mind taking a less aggressive approach towards my teeth as long as I came in a little more often so that he could keep an eye on anything that looked potentially troubling, and this was a really nice thing to hear because it meant that he was actively interested in the health of my teeth and my mouth, rather than just doing procedures willy-nilly. So I came away from my first meeting very happy. Next, I had a crown which chipped, so I had to come in to get it checked out and possibly replaced. Everyone was really great for each of my appointments. His staff is always very friendly and warm, and were very good about working with me and trying to get me in when I needed to. Now, others have remarked that scheduling can be a bit difficult and this is definitely true- last-minute appointments don't seem to really work very well here. But I'm willing to make that sacrifice and try to make my schedule work around theirs in order to keep a good relationship and keep my chompers healthy! read more

Always a friendly face around this outfit, be it the staff or the doctor. Follow-up and communication is rock solid too. They explain treatment plans well, as well as the reasons for its pursuit. On a personal note, I had to explain to the dentist a condition where the nerve for my lower, back teeth is located differently than usual. I additionally provided him with injection locations that worked for numbing purposes. This dentist listened and didn't push-back with the all-to-common 'don't tell me my business and/or profession.' Point is he listens to the patient, which is why our entire family is being treated by this office When first vetting the practice I did ask why SOME business reviews complained about 'inability to get emergency care.' Their answer was reasonable and expected: 'the business only has so many slots available for emergency work each day.' I hate going to the dentist... start there. Walking in, very nice open lobby, water features, nice chairs & happy smiley face girl when I walked in... I filled out my paperwork already as I downloaded it from their site (convenient) prior to my appointment. Pretty easy to fill out. They're a paperless office and can email you your x-rays and everything through the power of 'electronic mail'... it's crazy :) But srsly... that's helpful as most dental offices are stuck in the late 18th century. Being a web geek this makes me happy. Got x-rays done - never been in a machine like that but put your chin on this little platform and the dealio spins around your head and makes pretty x-ray vision pictures. Lady doing the cleaning was really nice, felt very comfortable and relaxed... no sharp deadly objects or loud scary noises to freak me out.... I asked a bunch of questions (normally do) and she was very detailed and explained everything to answer my questions. Doctor Goat came in - nice guy, not arrogant. Put in the time to chit chat a bit after the exam and wasn't pushy or salesy... Gave me some options for other services but no obligation or anything - just informative. Today was my second visit to this office and I was just as impressed as I was on my first trip. It was relatively easy to make an appointment a few weeks out for a routine check-up & cleaning. On my first appointment, they made molds for teeth whiting gel at no charge and they have a deal going where you will get free whiting gel at each visit as long as you keep up with your check-ups. That's pretty cool in itself. The office was really nice (I uploaded a picture of the lobby). The patient rooms were high-tech as well. Each room has a computer where they pulled up my file, could access x-rays, and add real time notes from my check-up. I really liked Dr. Goates, and I am sad to leave this practice. Unfortunately, I have had numerous scheduling issues that are unacceptable. One was a situation that I should have been seen right away. The scheduler tried to schedule me out 3 weeks for their first available to fit my schedule. 3 weeks! I called two other offices and they both informed me that I shouldn't wait 3 weeks, especially if I am an established patient. Both offices were willing to squeeze me in the next day. Very disappointing. I don't think this is the place to come if you have an emergency situation, even if you are a current patient. read more

When you provide them with a written notification of change of address and pharmacy...it doesn't get done. 2. When you make it perfectly clear before and after your dental cleaning, "I only want to have the dental procedure done where my dental insurance pays 100% of the services". WOW. Who knew that going to the dentist could be so cool? Seriously, I used to hate going to dentists, but Dr. Goates and his staff (and his office!) has changed all that! First, when I walked into the office, I thought I mistakenly walked into a spa, water bottles and all. The receptionist was super friendly and greeted me by my first name (apparently they don't jam pack appointments and can keep track of who's coming in, nice touch). All the staff I dealt with was very nice, friendly and made me feel at ease. Dr Goates is top notch and really takes time to make sure you're comfortable and answers your questions/concerns. They have super high tech tools (i.e. xray machine) and also flat screen tvs in most of the rooms. To top it all off, they make a mold of your teeth and give you free teeth whitening bleach as long as you keep up on your 6 month appointments. I brought my son to Precision for a second opinion (referred by neighbor). My son has had a lot of medical procedures and is very apprehensive in clinical situations. He couldn't find the words to express how much he appreciated Dr. Goates. Dr. Goates explained each thing he was doing and why. The assistant called me FROM HOME and STILL AFTER HOURS and answered all my questions. Amazing. I have never seen such a friendly, helpful staff in my life. One thing to note, Dr. Goates informed me early on that he doesn't like to work on kids with a lot of dental issues because it traumatizes them. My kids have a lot of dental issues so I had to find a different dentist for them. But he was very gentle and kind to my kids at their last checkup and gave them each a prize. The staff is incredible and Dr. Goates is a man among men....well women in this case :) I thought the follow-up call I received from Dr. Goates "checking in on me" was either a fluke or because I was a new patient, but I was wrong. I've been back 2 or 3 times, and each time he followed-up a day or so later asking how my mouth was feeling. I can't tell you how far that goes. I also have to recognize Candra. She has been great at getting me in on short notice and is always willing to explain the bill to me. She's usually the last one you see before you leave, and she'll always send you off with a big smile on her face. The other girls are great as well, and each one that I've dealt with has been the consummate professional perfectly balanced with a personable gal. Dr Goates is an amazing dentist. We had an emergency chipped tooth with my son (see pictures) and he fixed him right up and you can't tell a difference. Not to mention we were in and out of there in less than an hour! The staff was amazing, they all talked and never seemed put off. The building has a good calm feel to it. I'm grateful that we decided on Dr Goates. We will bringing the whole family here now for our dentist work. It's not a far drive from Queen Creek to Gilbert either. Just wanted to say thank you so much Dr. Goates for fitting me in and doing an excellent job on my teeth today. You see I am down here from Seattle for my wedding this week on 9/5, and long story short I had a minor accident camping this past weekend. I fell and chipped my two front teeth. I was so upset as you can imagine. I did a search for dentists in the area and came across Dr. Goates and his office. They had high ratings in Yelp and I read every review about them. I called at 7:15 am on Monday and the receptionist was so kind and understanding on the phone about my circumstance. They fit me in right away for an exam and finished my treatment in one day!! This last visit has really impressed me! I had a molar that had a big, old silver filling from a different dentist and a whole corner of my molar broke off. I had to go in to get a crown. My FIRST crown and I was petrified. Dr. Goates explained everything about the process and was so patient and gentle. AND I got the crown baked and put on the SAME day! I had a very traumatic experience with a dentist in Scottsdale a few years ago. Basically, he placed a crown on a tooth that had a root canal, the cement got stuck, they tried flossing it out, all the while I had horrible shooting nerve pain and pressure and left balling my eyes out. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing mouth pain on the other side, so I decided to check out Dr. Goates after researching reviews of dentists nearby. First off, his staff is amazing! The front desk, the dental assist and hygienists were great! Not only were they super personable and professional but they genuinely seemed to care. Dr. Goates is amazing! It was pretty obvious that I was nervous - I was bright red, shaking and sweaty. Dr. Goates' calming demeanor completely calmed my nerves. He explained everything to me, reassured me that it would be ok. He also introduced me to the hygienist, told her about my previous experience. The following week I had one of my procedures and the hygienist was great! I didn't feel a thing. (They had to inject antibiotics deep into my gums). Dr. Goates even came to check on me to make sure I did ok. I still have to go back for a few procedures but I highly recommend Dr. Goates!! read more

CHANGE OF LIFE EVENT Dr. Brandon G. Goates DMD of Precision Dental and his great staff of workers were responsible for this event. After 28 years of wearing dentures I knew a change had to be made. The pain, irritation and loose dentures had become intolerable. The simple act of chewing had become a nightmare, the embarrassment of replacing the paste sometime in public lavatories' was something I dreaded. I chose to have implants. The Implant posts were installed by East Valley Implant & Periodontal Center in July and after the healing process I returned to Dr. Goates in October for the final procedure. The casting, mounting and securing the new denture were the final tasks. Words can't express my admiration for the great job they all did. On the final fitting day, I brought an apple with me as a joke, just to see if my new teeth worked as advertised. Attached is a very short video of my life changing event.
