This dental office is awesome! We recently moved from California where our family dentist treated our entire family for several years. I'm very picky because I had some pretty terrifying childhood experiences with dentistry back in Russia (old equipment, rude and frustrated dentists etc. It was not their fault. It was a tough time back then). When I called Creative Smiles, I had a cosmetic dental emergency (these are the worst in my opinion, especially if you are a bit vain like me :) IT was easy to schedule an appointment and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The office is very nice and updated. I did not have to wait a long time, and the doctor was professional and on point. The pricing is great, and they didn't try to sell me on bunch of services, as I have experienced with some dental offices in the past. I will definitely be back. read more

5 stars is stretching it...I don't like going to dentists...I despise them, I've spent so much $$ on my teeth, that I've told my husband and friends, that the oral surgeon should just pull all my teeth out and get me dentures! On 08/06/09, I spent 6 HOURS at Creative Smiles... I took a day off at work to get a bunch of stuff done on my teeth (this included molding for my new retainer and zoom whitening). I was there from 7-11:30a and then again from 1p-3p. My husband had an appointment that same day...2hrs, bam, out... The hygienist, assistants and dentist are great, they will do anything to keep you off of pain, and to keep your mind off the torture. I had taken a Valium, had laughing gas and a bunch of shots of novocain. They gave me a blanket, headphones and I was able to watch 2 movies during my first half of torture. I was so drugged up, that I got sick to my stomach. Finished the first half and then came back and watched another movie and got my reward w/ my zoom. I like the fact that they are very thorough with their job, explaining everything. The only downside is that they are open a couple of days in the week... not including Friday's, which are my days off (reason why, I gave 4 stars). Dr. Rogowski is a congenial, confidence inspiring professional who truly strives to make his patients as comfortable as possible while achieving the best possible result. He is a perfectionist and his technique is on point. I have had zero issues with his work. No one is perfect, however. He can be indecisive to the point that despite having a treatment plan in place, you could show up to an appointment to have your tooth fixed only to leave 30 min later having gone through an extraction. One week to the day between appointmens. Nothing changed that much in 7 days! Lastly, to Dr. Ro and every other Dentist or Doctor who leaves his/her patients in horrible pain without precribing proper pain meds is cruel and should be considered negligent. Studies show patients with proper pain management recover more quickly and more completely than those who are left to suffer extreme pain after a difficult extraction. (Trust me.) read more

I want to preface this by saying I've never visited the current dentist working at Creative Smiles in Gilbert. He bought this practice from another dentist who I was a patient of for several years in that location. So in that regard, this is by no means a review of his ability as a dentist. When the current people took over this office, they went back in patient histories (mine at least), and began billing for discounts the prior owner had given on services. I have receipts from Creative Smiles showing I had no balances, yet when the business was sold the new people began contacting me saying I was months past due on my account. When they emailed me the bill, they had reinstated discounts that the prior dentist had given. They then sent it to a collection agency who called me at home, cell, work, etc; which I ended up paying just to make it stop. Regardless of the dentist's abilities, clearly a low class office now trying to stiff-arm former patients for money. read more

Oh.Em.Gee!!! I've never been so excited (and a bit nervous, to be honest) to go to the dentist. Excited because I've heard -- and also did my Yelp homework to read reviews about Creative Smiles prior to making my appointment. And nervous... Well, for one, it's the dentist... And two, umm who wouldn't be nervous when the dentist is super good-looking?! Never in all my years have I had such a handsome dentist work on my smile. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and warmly welcomed by Maria, who checked me in, pronounced my name correctly (extra brownie points for you, Maria!!!) and gave me paperwork to fill out. Nothing too extensive or crazy, for those of you who hate filling out new patient paperwork. Next I was introduced to Sonia who was going to give me, as Dr. Beyea put it, the BEST teeth cleaning of my life. And indeed it was!!! Sonia was super awesome, very personable, and sweet. She was extremely gentle yet thorough with cleaning my teeth, making sure she got all the coffee/tea stains off. She even checked my gums, which you would think that all dental offices do, but quite honestly this is the first time a hygienist took the time to check my gums, and literally every tooth! Sonia was so attentive with cleaning my teeth! Thanks, Sonia!!! Then Dr. Hottie, I mean Dr. Beyea came in to check my teeth. All was great... Except one tooth that had a dark spot on the x-ray and given me some problems in the past. (My last dentist told me to "wait and see if the pain goes away" -- great advice from a dentist, huh? Especially when it looked worrisome on the x-rays.) Thank God that when Dr. Beyea came in and looked at that tooth, he suggested and recommended that I allow him to fix it! Imagine that -- a dentist who actually fixes teeth! **gasp** I was quite honestly expecting Dr. Beyea to tell me to make an appointment to come back and get my tooth fixed... But no. To my surprise, he introduced me to his assistant, Kayla, and told me he would fix my tooth NOW. How awesome is that?! So now here comes the "fun" part... "If you like piña coladas, and getting novocaine" (it's the remixed dentist's version of the song. Haha). Kayla asked me to go into the next room over, and Dr. Beyea came in and started with numbing my tooth/gums... With piña colada flavored numbing gel. (Yum, btw!) Then, of course, the novocaine, and drilling of the tooth. Fun times! I flinched a few times because apparently the tooth had some decay underneath a filling and was close to my root, but Dr. Beyea managed to fix my tooth in less than an hour -- and he saved me from needing a root canal in the near future. Needless to say, I've found my new dentist. Everyone in the office is so kind and knowledgeable, and very efficient. My whole visit was wonderful, from the moment I made my appointment (neat fact: they send out text reminders to confirm and then to remind you of your appointment) to getting my teeth cleaned, tooth fixed, and even the whole check-out process. I made my next check-up appointment with Dr. Beyea and his staff upon leaving. I had such an amazing and positive experience that I will not be returning to my previous dentist again. I mean, everything at Creative Smiles was on point -- including the melodic, calming, peaceful vocal trace music playing in the background while you're getting your teeth worked on. read more

I came here to get my wisdom teeth removed and had a great experience! I already had X-rays, which meant I didn't have to retake any, which made my life a whole lot easier. Dr. Bentley was already ready for me when I arrived, which meant a lot to me since I didn't have to spend any time waiting. The assistant, Heidi, got me all set up with a heart monitor and Dr. Bentley was very knowledgable and easy to talk to as they got me prepared for the procedure. Once they got my IV set up, it was very quick and painless, even though I had 2 impacted teeth and 2 that were fully grown in with roots tangled with my nerves. Went for my clean up here today and I love it! The office is really nice and the staff here is extremely friendly! As soon as I walked into the doors I felt very welcomed. The hygienist was very gentle and was very thorough. The dentist was great! He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He explained a few things while looking at my X-rays to me in a way I could understand. I didn't get this kind of excellent customer service at the last place I had gone to so it was nice to know how my teeth were, and of course they were good! Was recommended by a friend, so I really wanted to like it. Clair, the receptionist, smiles, when conversation starts, then her patience quickly runs out and I can see her irritation with my questions. I asked her why I got different price for implant, she said she forgot to add some parts when quoted me the first time -and no warnings, no apologies. Dental implant procedure was okay, but I was promised gauze pads which I never received. No print out with instructions was provided. Surgeon spat out what I need to do after surgery in 30 seconds, so I still don't know when I can start eating and drinking water. Also there were inconsistencies when I need to submit my payment and payment numbers. read more

This whole office is great, the receptionist Linda couldn't have took better care of me and my needs. As well as the assistants and dr. I have a hard time breathing when getting work done on my mouth and they made sure to give me plenty of breaks as needed and felt no need to rush me. I just want to start off by saying that I never write yelp reviews, like ever. But i felt the need to write one today. I was in need for a new dentist after leaving my pediatric dentist. My mom, dad, and brother all go to Creative Smiles and have all told me great things, so naturally, I make an appointment. I also haven't been to the dentist in a few years (i know i know, gross. but life gets in the way sometimes). Anyways I get there and the receptionist is nice and I get taken back after about 5 minutes of waiting. I had to get x-rays taken because I was a new patient and let me tell you, I usually don't mind getting x-rays taken, but this was agonizing. They took 20+ X-rays and I felt like the tech was taking her sweet time while I had this huge, uncomfortable, painful tool in my mouth. Then it was time for me to see Dr. Chen, who was super sweet and I have nothing bad to say about her. After that I was taken over to the hygienist and she introduced herself and leaned me back. She forgot to put the "bib" on me while i was still upright so she said "lift up your head" so she could put it on. no please or thank you. super rude. I open my mouth and after about 10 seconds of her looking in my mouth she starts talking badly about my teeth, saying that there's a lot of buildup and such. I'm sure there was a lot of buildup since i haven't been in a while but i still brush my teeth and take care of my mouth so it couldn't have been that bad. or she could have said it in a nicer manner. she drilled at my teeth for about 15 minutes and then she starts to brush my teeth, a few minutes in, she gets toothpaste in my eye. I told her that there's toothpaste in my eye and my eye is burning and she says "sorry" and keeps going. meanwhile my eye is burning and watering so she finally gives me a cloth to clean my eye out with. I was finally done with my appointment after being there for about an hour and a half (which is a long time if you ask me). Overall, I would not recommend this office. The doctor was nice but other than that, I wasn't impressed with anything else. I don't know if maybe I have bad luck since I have 3 people in my household who love this place and so do other people given the amount of 5 star reviews. read more

Ultimately the worst, FIRST appointment at a new office, experience I've ever had. First, as they begin to walk me back to the exam room... they tell me the dentist I'm scheduled to see no longer works there and I'm seeing someone new... wait what?? I liked Dr Chen!! (Thanks for letting me know ahead of time that my chosen and highly researched dentist was no longer there) Next a tech/hygienist spends 20+ minutes trying to figure out how to use the dental x-ray machine. She can't figure out how to swivel it around the chair and can't figure out how to place the piece inside my mouth, actually tried to push hard and twist it in forcefully.
