They are not even registered as a business with the BBB which should speak for itself, and the fact that there was cement shavings left in her throat when she came home and coughing because of it, is something I have never heard of a dental practice being able to get away with. When asked if she could at least compensate for the poor service and quality of work, the general manager, with no name, decided to hang up. If we could get more people to speak up about this kind of treatment and get them shut down that would be fabulous.

The dentist and hygienist are thorough and took the time to explain everything, from my exam results to treatment options. Also the front desk staff is awesome and accommodating with different appointments times and super friendly! Overall such a great experience!

They talked me into a procedure that I was really against because I knew it would be expensive. They gave me a quote and I reluctantly agreed. I thought that would be the last i heard from this place. Nope. I have not heard from them in months until this week. I just received a bill in the mail from them for unknown charges, with interest. She was consistently rude, dismissive, argumentative, and unprofessional. Every interaction felt confrontational from the start, and there was never any attempt to apologize or handle concerns respectfully. Instead of helping resolve issues, she came across as defensive, disrespectful, and completely unwilling to take accountability. What made matters worse was her apparent lack of understanding of their own billing system. Dates, times, and amounts owed were repeatedly exaggerated or inconsistent, and our account was overcharged with no clear explanation and no supporting documentation provided. When questioned, there were no answers, no transparency, and no effort to correct the situation professionally, instead she hung up on me. Patients should not have to argue just to get accurate billing information or basic respect. I am still waiting for someone in upper management to return my calls and address these concerns, which only adds to the frustration and speaks volumes about how this office handles customer complaints. I would strongly encourage others to carefully review every charge and document every interaction if dealing with this office.

Please don't come here if you need any kind of cosmetic work, ie crowns, veneers, implants.. It's…read moremy hope that in reading this review and seeing my pictures, you'll go elsewhere. Here's what happened. I had a dental bridge that cracked on me and I needed two implants as the next best option. Two things to know about this office is that they don't have the equipment to make crowns in their office as I've seen the 'dental ovens' in other offices and second, they outsource to Sophia Dental Studio way the heck out in Mesa.( This will mean several trips here for color matching, crown sizing ect...) Anyways, there's big communication issues on color matching, sizing of crowns, and opacity. I had several delays and many trips back and forth to the lab, literally weeks of delay. And they still didn't get it right. Before they seeded my implant crowns, I had asked Jewel the dental assistant who appears to be in charge of what gets fixed and what doesn't, to please fix the sizes of my crowns BEFORE they were put in. All I got was lip service, "I'll look into it". I assumed my issues were fixed. Check out my pictures. You be the judge. After getting a second opinion, all my doubts and dis-satisfaction were confirmed. The sizing, color, opacity and angle of one tooth jutting out is wrong. I pleaded with J. Philipp to fix the issues. They refused and stopped returning my phone calls. I tried to have the charge of 3,250.00 for the two crowns reversed on my credit card and lost solely because I got teeth.. aesthetics aside. Now, I have to pay again the 3,200 or so to get them fixed. I'm so embarrassed of my smile, I really did have have faith and trust in this office. That's why this hurts even more. Also, please know that the front desk asks everyone to write reviews for them. They really are friendly. But friendly does not mean quality work. They also charge 16$ for mouthwash they tell you you cant buy in stores. I just found out you can buy it online. It's called Parodontex. Ridiculous. They are 'nice' until they no longer want to work with you. Anyways, best of luck if you're reading this! Let my pictures speak for themselves. In response to your rebuttal: I never would have signed off on crowns like this if I knew they would look like this. The lab got the color and size wrong to begin with, so I HAD to go back. I don't even recall signing off and any 'papers'.. why would I sign off on something that's horrible?! Also, I was in tears on the phone with jewel and she told me that the only thing your office was willing to do was to refer me out for gum grafting. Guess what? I got a second opinion and never once was gum grafting mentioned. My new dentist said she would adjust the sizing, opacity and angle of that crown that juts out. She said she could make a taller crown that doesn't look like a drawf tooth and that gum grafting was unnecessary!!! If you doubt this, contact me and I'll give you the office number and you can call them yourselves to get her professional opinion. Now, I have to pay again for crowns that actually match my teeth... unless now, are you saying your office is willing to fix them?? As for the pictures, you made me take photos! I literally asked for the issues to be fixed before the crowns were seeded. That was a gross exaggeration. Shame on you for not explaining what I was signing off on. Otherwise I never would have signed for what I got.

I had my money up front from saving which made it much easier for them to break down my options, knowing my financial limits. There was No pushing, or pressure. I really dont get what other reviewer's are saying there, unless they just dont know how to say "no thx". I can see they might be put off by the direct approach of the dentist, but otherwise, I don't get it. I had a lot of work done, and I am still having work done. I put up pics of my process that started in Jan. 2019. The pics are embarrassing, but Dr. Phillips & team deserve more credit than these poor reviews from folks that just didn't hear what they wanted, dont understand pricing of "surgery" or the value of your oral health. Society considers dental work unnecessary, YET dental health and ur smile appearance affects ur every day life constantly. Your teeth effect u mentally&physically everyday. All dentists are expensive. I consulted 5 dentists in person on my condition & sent xrays to 3 in Mexico. I communicated to assess how much it would cost for everything in my mouth. Which was a lot! Mex. was still cheaper by 35% But it worked out to be more w/ the travel expenses, planning, someone to be with me, risk if anything becomes a problem, and the dentist Warrantying the work is not close by. I have the most basic Military Dental plan, that only picks up 2k a year. That 2k is pennies when u need dental work. It has to go towards EVERYTHING! After getting several opinions that ranged from $30k-60k, I ended up choosing him. I was very forward w/ what I wanted & told them exactly how much I had to spend.I know this isn't possible for everyone, but being in pain & watching my teeth fall apart made me prioritize funds that were set aside ONLY for dental work. I wont post what I paid but you can PM-me and I can give you more info. I also knew what I was willing to accept couldn't be fixed, what would be a temp-fix, and what would last. So far, I am so happy to be able to smile again. When I started seeing the change in my mouth,I wanted to create a "before and after" log. I needed a "starting" pic for it, and I didnt realize how little I smiled so others couldn't see my teeth, until I was trying to find a pic showing my teeth. I just didn't smile w/ teeth. I attended an event this last week w/Friends that haven't seen me in a year, & all of them made a comment on my teeth!! Even w/ me still missing 3 of my upper teeth in view, The rest of my teeth looked so nice, they didn't notice the missing ones. They all said the same thing and asked for my dentists name. "They look Great! I Would love to have teeth that white and straight!" I am still in the process of getting 3 implants in the remaining upper spaces plus Got 3 more fillings. This office has been amazing to work with me. A few things if you read other reviews and are skeptical: -Going to the dentist is embarrassing /scary for the majority of people. You're not special. Everybody feels embarrassed about it! If you're going to the dentist to be coddled about how your teeth are in poor condition, just DONT. Bring ur mom to hold your hand and reassure you every time someone doesn't give u a sympathetic hand-pat. If you're truly going to rate a dentist on there reaction (or lack there of) to your need for emotional support, then be willing to pay for it. Its an exchange of goods & services that relates to your everyday appearance & overall health that results in "Surgery" by a "doctor" in an area of your body that intakes nutrients, is seen everyday, and also can result in a type of pain that effects your daily life. Plz, Consider all that into your "pricing complaints". It's not an insignificant body part. It's a very important one. -If you think prices aren't "Reasonable", then you haven't done your homework. They all are relatively the same, his are even a bit on the low side for a Cosmetic dentist. -if you think a lot of steps are not necessary or costly, then do your homework. Instead of putting fault on an office due to sticker shock, just ask the office to explain or say u will call them after you look into it. The ofc gals are great & understanding. They will take the time for u. -remember!! Dental work always takes time, & healing. Expect a financial commitment. AND mentally prepare for it being a process, its not a quick fix. Most of the time bad reviews of dentists are from folks not hearing what they want price-wise or didn't get enough coddling. I love this office personally and really appreciate the options they made available to me. I can't wait to post final pics after I get my implants throughout the year.
