HORRIFIC service and completion times. My car has been in the shop over one month to fix and I was promised much shorter times frames. Once again, I have been told that they will need more time to complete, pushing into yet another week. I was initially promised that they would expedite my car since I could pay out of pocket if my insurance did not pay, yet this was not done. I worked with George at PAB for some repairs that were needed for my boss's Maserati GT a few weeks ago. We had to go through insurance and the whole thing was quite a hassle. George was well educated in Maserati and dealing with the stubborn insurance company, above and beyond helpful to me and my boss, very kind during the whole process which was a little stressful and all in all, PAB was very efficient in getting the repairs done. On top of the regular repairs needed, George went above and beyond and not only took off decals that my boss no longer wanted on his car for no charge (including heating them up and buffing the paint) but also noticed once of the Maserati symbols was broken and fixed that without even asking. I'm a very picky person, especially when it comes to who repairs my high end cars. After researching Precision Auto Body, I chose them to repair my BMW 535i over several other repair shops in my area even though their estimated completion time was much higher than the others. It's evident that they are extremely busy which was also a good sign (for me). Their front office and shop is very clean, neat and well kept. Everyone I spoke to was nice and courteous. When I dropped off my car, I was expecting to Uber back home but one of their employees gave me a ride home which I was not expecting from an auto body shop and also, I don't live close to their location either. George was assigned my case and he originally told me my car would be done on a specific date and it was. Although 2 weeks in there was hope it would be done sooner but in the end they were right on time. I'm very happy with the end results and am glad I went with PAB. read more

PLEASE READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND SEARCH THE INTERNET. AVOID THIS COMPANY. I had an absolutely horrid experience several years ago. This company is one you should avoid at all cost. I went here on the recommendation of my dealer and they were very friendly until they got a hold of the car and then turned nasty. In short, they were 350% off on their estimate and 7 weeks late. They refused to return phone calls and the manager told bold face lies about having to rent frame straightening equipment when they owned the equipment under another shell corporation and charged it back to just to make more money. It took a significant amount of effort to get them to refund the dishonest charges. I had to go to the dealers and threaten to expose them all to the media before they responded. The one unfortunate thing for them is that the internet and social media make it harder for them to cover up their sleazy practices. They now spend all their time trying to hide their tracks. Note how many reviews have been 'filtered' or removed for violations. The truth is out there. Make sure you do a thorough search on the internet and filtered reviews of this company. Long story, but here's the short version. Front end of my Porsche Cayenne GTS was hit and towed to Precision Auto on May 22 because State Farm recommended them. Estimated damage was about $11K but some parts needed to be ordered from Germany. Granted there were a couple of holidays but it took 7 weeks and 1 day to get my car back! I was constantly following up requesting updates as the original estimate was 3-4 weeks. Needless to say my car rental coverage was completely exhausted well before the car was fixed. But, that's not the worst of it. I received an email from them stating the car would be ready July 7th. I showed up on the 8th and was shocked to see paint drips and poor masking that hadn't even been cleaned up. They asked me to give them an hour to buff it all out but I was already late and said I'd be back the next day. So, the next day I returned my rental in Burbank rode my bike to my office in Studio City and took a cab to Reseda in the afternoon to pick up the car. The service guy (he's lucky I don't mention his name) was surprised that my car wasn't in the lot and found out his manager instructed the crew to remove and respray the bumper! Nobody had the courtesy to tell me and he wasn't even apologetic about it!! They drove me up to Enterprise nearby and got me a Mini. After multiple emails from me, they said it would be ready after 4:00 on Friday. Never a sorry from the manager, never a sorry from the service rep. So I picked it up Monday because who goes to Reseda on a Friday night. Sorry, but this story just gets worse. About a week later I emailed them because the steering felt very loose and there was water inside the light on the side they fixed. They blamed the steering issue on the Auto Gallery, who they had aligned it but when I told him I didn't think it was an alignment issue they told me to bring it in for the manager to inspect. I was going to but it was so bad that I decided to take it to the Speed Gallery because they were closer. Dan (this guy is great) immediately realized there was way too much "play" in the steering where you could move the wheel almost 2 inches before the tires would turn! He said it wasn't safe to drive so we called State Farm to send an adjuster to meet him. A couple of days later the adjuster gave Dan the ok to put it on the rack and tear down the suspension to see what the issue was because the adjuster agreed it wasn't safe enough for me to drive all the way out to Precision Auto Body again. A couple days later Dan called to let me know that Precision did order the right parts but whoever put it back together didn't tighten it all up. He said it was as if they put everything in place but didn't do the final steps. Also, the camber was completely off from Porsche specs which would only help to worsen the steering issues. Would I go back to Precision? Never. Would I recommend them? Not if you want things done right and care about your safety. They get a lot of high end cars in there. I saw Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Bentley and Maseratis but cannot imagine this was a one time mistake. They lacked professionalism and the quality of their work was horrible. After my son had his car accident, I recommended Precision Auto Body to my ex-wife, thinking that this place was reputable and professional. After going back and forth with my ex-wife, I was able to convince her to go with this body shop. This being said, my experience was the complete opposite. They were extremely unprofessional, dishonest and completely unethical. I do not think it is uncommon for a divorced parent who is paying half of the bill to request an itemized statement of what the insurance paid, what the deductible is and proof of payment from both parties. When I requested this it was not provided to me. I was told that they can only provide me with the receipt of my payment. This is unacceptable. I have a right to supporting documentation that both parties have paid their obligated amounts. Precision Auto Body's practice of doing business is, unacceptable, unprofessional, unethical and in my opinion illegal. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Precision repaired my Acura in the 90's, and did a great Job, so when I needed work done in September 2011 on my 2008 750LI, I considered going back. My BMW dealer also referred me to them and noted that it is the only shop that meets the high expectations of their customers as well as BMW's requirements. They added that Precision invests a lot of money in tooling and training and that they are the only shop that actually has the proper tools to repair BMW frames to factory specs and precise tolerances. A lot of time passed since they last worked on my car, so I went to look at their work and facilities. As remembered, the body shop still looked unlike any other. It is simply immaculate and unmatched in cleanliness and organization. I met with David Mosso and he wrote up the estimate which he e mailed to me that same day. I am very much a perfectionist, and I went with my gut instinct and decided that this is the place that will repair my Car in a way that will meet my expectations. I figured that there is no way that this place would still be in business repairing luxury cars if they were dishonest, did not provide customer service, and did not do an exceptional Job. I dropped my car off on Monday, and knew that my car was in good hands. Dave and another technician processed the car and noted every aspect of the condition of the car and outlined exactly what they would be repairing and the process involved. Dave also explained how they will be matching the color and the texture of the original factory paint job, so that the repair will not be noticeable. I then asked him if they could also repair a ding on the fender. He told me that they work with a real artist at those repairs, and that he would call him to asses the damage. I also inquired about repairing a damaged wheel. He explained that it could be done, but that the repaired wheel will only look 95% as good as the original. He realized how picky I was, and suggested that I buy a new wheel from BMW and negotiate a better price, rather then having to pay a mark-up. I took his advice and I bought the new OEM wheel from Bob Smith BMW at the same price that they sell it to Body Shops for and therefore saved a few hundred dollars. Over the next few days David dealt directly with my insurance company and kept me in the loop. My calls were always returned within the same day. David also called me to let me know that the ding, along with a second one that was on the door, could both be repaired for $125. This was fair and I gave him the go ahead. I then left on vacation for a week. When I returned I called and David explained that the car would be ready by the end of the week. I was more concerned with the quality and told him not to rush. On Friday I was in the area and I stopped by to take a look at the car. David said that they could have the car ready by the end of the day, but that he would like to have the car waxed and polished. I told him to take his time and that again I was in no rush and I just offered to pick the car up after the weekend. So, finally I came to pick up the car. All I can say is this. The car looked AS GOOD AS NEW. I went over every inch of it, and it was flawless. The paint matched EXACTLY both in color and in the texture. There were no swirl marks on the newly painted surfaces. It had been completely waxed and cleaned, and as promised, the two dings were completely gone and they even removed additional scratches. So, If you want your car repaired to factory condition there is only one choice in my opinion. Precision. There is a very good reason behind the fact that most of the luxury car dealers continue to refer customers to them. People who spend a lot of money on cars expect service and quality, and Precision delivers. I read most of the 63 positive reviews on citysearch.com and I also read the reviews alleging high prices and extended repair times and uncourteous staff expressed on yelp. As for the price, my insurance company had no problem agreeing to the estimates, and I received a detailed explanation for every dollar that was charged and was not charged a cent more. As for the amount of time it took, quality work takes time. If you want your repair rushed and don't care about the quality, then maybe Precision is not for you. But if you want quality work from professionals that are perfectionists, and from technicians that are properly trained, then do yourself a favor, and go to Precision and take a look at their work and facilities before you make a decision. As for the staff, all I can say is that from the moment I dropped my car off, to the time that they delivered the car back to me, all I experienced was nothing short of professionalism. Hope this helps some of you that are a bit confused about the differences in experiences expressed on yelp. Mercedes Benz of Calabasas recommended these guys and went with it. Once everything was finished I had to point out a spot that needed to be painted on my W210 E class, not really a big deal but it was obvious and was not dealt with until I mentioned it. Then after I get home, I notice that when they removed my rear passenger door window, they put it on something rough and totally tore up the window tint on my window. When I called Lou to complain I got the major run around with no resolve. Would NEVER take a car of mine for repair work there. They shouldn't be recommended by MBZ at all. read more

Ok. Here's the real deal about this place. We were recommended by MB of calabasas after we got massively rear ended by a truck. I would recommend this place ONLY if the other person's insurance is paying for it. After 3 1/2 MONTHS and over 16k charged, we got our car back and it looked perfect so I must say that they did an awesome job with the repair. Although I think they intially told the other guys insurance that it was 6k then it just kept going up and up. I think had they said 16k up front, they would have totaled the car cause it's not even worth that much! Still, it's the best repair job I've seen. read more

I have dealt with this company in the past and had slow, but nice, work done on two cars. Since they were on the dealer list and insurance company list, I figured if they screwed up, insurer would make them do it right. Because of that history, in the past two weeks I've been by their facility a couple of times trying to get an estimate for painting a couple of motorcycle saddlebag covers and a top box cover. All three would be removed and ready for prep and painting. Noone could help, and the manager William (Bill) Lawyer was not there. On a third occasion, I called and he was not there. I left a message asking him to return my call. No callback. Finally, today I reached him by phone. I was put on hold and hung up on. By the time I called back I was pretty done with them, but thought the manager should know about the lack of callback, etc.. I discussed what I needed and he quoted 1500-1750 because he alleged motorcycle painting is so involved. What involved??? Three plastic pieces removed from the bike? One brand new, and the other two with tiny scrapes on them. I will leave it to you to think of adjectives for this kind of person. If he doesn't have the skill or will to do the job, just say so. Don't make up arbitrary gouging prices. My other quote from a motorcycle repair shop was for $250. That's right; one-sixth of what this crook stated! read more
