Disappointed. Been coming here for years for oil change without issue. However my latest oil change resulted in an attempted up charge to pay for the filter separately. They also now upcharge for disposal fee, which I think is reasonable. In all the years I have had an oil change, the filter is always included in the price. Very disappointing as now my trust is gone. Need to find a new spot. read more

O.R. usually has 4-5 mechanics constantly working so if the phone isn't answered just know they are slammed. Decided to come here to get a high milage oil change cause I found a great deal on Groupon and the raving reviews. I was able to schedule a same day appointment which was very convenient. While I was waiting the guy working on my car came to ask me if he could show me something. I followed him out to my car where he showed me how low my breaks are and told me how long I have until they need to be replaced. This is the first time anyone, in any of the shops I've been too, has shown me the issue without pressuring to get it done now and I really loved that. These guys have been doing my monthly oil changes for a while now. Always friendly, never have to wait too long. Last time I was there, I asked them about a gas smell inside my car. A repair technician was able to locate the source of the smell, a leaking bottle of fuel injector that had fallen into my spare tire cavity. He even cleaned it out for me. They told me they will call me back with an update to see how much it would cost. I called the next two days to check the status and was told they'll call me right back with an update but never did. As a woman, it's rare to see other women in the auto industry so speaking with Erika is a fantastic surprise. Not only was she polite and considerate, she explained everything to me and was very honest about pricing, giving me the full parameters of the cost of service. In addition, she was very knowledgeable and said she would do an assessment of the vehicle first before there was any service so that we could determine whether or not we really needed it. As someone relatively new to vehicle maintenance (having lived without one for the majority of my life), it is very nice to have an auto shop you can trust especially when the dealers gouge you all the time and try to oversell you. FYI, I found out through this auto shop through Neighborhood Promotions, and spoke with Austin about a One-Year Maintenance Package, and he was very helpful on the telephone. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I really wanted to trust this place. Not only is the receptionist Erika very kind and helpful but the shop is located super close to my home! Unfortunately, I had 2 separate NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCES at this shop that will prevent me from ever returning. I don't think I've ever even left a negative review in my life either but people should be aware of the DANGERS of this shop. First I came in months ago due to a faulty starter or alternator (don't remember). They did some work and I drove my car back home, only to find out that the GAS was on a 2 SECOND DELAY from when I hit the pedal!!!!!! To understand the severity of this, imagine turning left on a busy intersection and you have to wait 2 seconds for your car to realize you have pressed the gas - congratulations you've just been T-BONED. I'm so grateful and blessed to not have been severely injured. Fortunately they fixed the issue when I took it back in, but call me crazy: I don't think anyone should ever be in that incredibly dangerous position. Well anyway I decided I'd give them another shot because Erika was kind and they seemed to have fair prices. I went back to O R a couple of days ago for a Check Engine light. I dropped my car off at 9 AM Wednesday, and didn't hear from anyone until I called back MYSELF at 5 PM. Erika informed me the parts haven't come in yet and told me I could pick my car up and bring it in next morning - ok no problem. I make my way over and my car is being worked on, and I am told to come back at 6 PM - ok fine I live close (although if I didn't live walking distance this would be infuriating). I do come back at 6 PM and my car is ready! At least, that was the hope. I sit down in my car for a single second when I realize that the mechanics have simply NOT fully attached the plastic panel under the steering wheel.... I could just see wires between the panel and the wheel. WTF? How could you miss this? I take another second to look around because my trust has fully deteriorated at this point and I find out the mechanics have simply removed the floor of my center console, and there are now exposed holes there. WTF???? To make matters worse, one of the mechanics took an entire MINUTE to GASLIGHT ME and convince me I removed that piece and forgot where it was!!!!!!! Pal, you need to understand I would never remove that piece because I didn't even know it existed. And if I did, I would not remove it- that would be idiotic. But that was really something, the mechanic taking an important piece out of my car and then telling me I lost it. I nearly totally lost my composure there. For what it's worth, the whole time Erika has been very empathetic to all my grievances and losses, and reached out to make sure the center console part eventually gets smoothed over. As I write this, I am still missing that piece, but it is reassuring to have one person on your side as the rest of the shop seems to **** up my car every chance they get. Erika, I really recommend you have a thorough sit-down with your staff and talk to them about the importance of attention to detail in automotive work, particularly on delivery of the finished product. And I think you need another sit-down with the staff to make sure they never try to gaslight or trick their customers. Maybe they just simply aren't qualified enough to deal with clients directly, and you should inform them to always redirect clients to yourself, Erika. read more

Super fast service, and very nice workers. They are very busy but they have enough workers to get things done quickly and efficiently. I came her for a break job (pads and shoes) and they had it done in 3 hours, and with a price tag of $350 was steller compared to other places where they charge me $395 for just the pads in the front! It's easier to get in from the ally I feel, because if you're looking for it from Sherman Way you'll fly right past it. Only thing was that they have a check in to save 50% off of a break check, but they check the breaks for free... so why advertise saving 50% off? Silly I know, but they knocked $30 off the total which was ok to me. I'll be bringing my other cars here (hopefully later rather than sooner)! Enjoy! read more

I first learned of OR Auto Repair when they came to the house offering a laminated sheet worth $200 of typical auto repairs for a mere $20. Obviously I was intrigued so I bought one and used all the services. During those services they treated me, my wife and our vehicles so well that we naturally adopted them as our neighborhood mechanic. It has been so convenient to have these experts within walking distance so I can just drop off and stroll home. They have always finished on the same day regardless of the repair, they let me just walk in and drop off for whatever I need, from new brakes, a tune up or a $20 oil change. They have always gone the extra mile with my cars by checking everything, even what I haven't asked for, thoroughly and making gentle recommendations for my car's needs without any pressure. I've been bringing my cars here for 5 years now and Erica and co. treat me like family, extending me every courtesy with competence and professionalism. They've even joyfully watched my son grow up. I researched and read reviews before entrusting my 2011 dodger challenger se into their capable hands. I needed my oil filter adaptor replaced so I ordered the part online and had it delivered to my house and the dealership wanted to charge me way to much so I called OR general and Rosa the lady behind the counter was so helpful, she knows about cars. She gave me window during the day since it wasn't that busy and I brought the car in for an estimate. As I said before, I had the part so they charged me labor and an oil change at a decent price. Within 4 hours my car was complete and I was on the road again. Quick side not my phone died and Rosa let me charge my phone to call an Uber and when Uber arrived my phone died at the exact moment during pick up so I ended up losing the initial ride which Uber charged me for and since I rarely use the app, rose showed me how to cancel the ride and Uber refunded my money and I ordered another ride shortly after. WORST SHOP EVER!!!! So what good is to make an appointment or make online reservation and numerous text that went back-and-forth from the shop to myself? I specifically told him ( he said he's Chris) what type of oil ( 0W-16 ) I need for the oil change. We even talked about the brand of the oil. He even said he has Mobil 1 at higher price but the brand Everest that he has is good enough. Made an appointment week before. Got there 15 minutes early and the mechanic and so-called receptionist and a daughter to the business owner, Erika, had no idea about the appointment. She kept on saying the text conversation was with autoshop network? if somebody was representing my business I want to know what the hell is going on. Don't act like it's by somebody else. She kept on saying she's been in the business for 40 years and she knows the difference between synthetic oil and regular oil change. My car is 2020 Toyota Camry hybrid. According to the manual and by the dealership my full synthetic oil change is good for 10,000 miles. Erika is saying it's only good for 5000 miles. These days wherever you go price of a synthetic oil change is about the same. ($75-$125) Only reason I chose a shop over a dealership is because they're less busy than a dealership and I could get out faster. why would I pay the same price to have a oil change duration go from 10,000 to 5000 miles? We had said this in the text conversation already but Erika is saying she or has nothing to do with her shop. WTF??? Why even set out a special sale on Facebook and say it's a special price for $54.99 & after the jobs done she's asking for $75. And when I asked for a warranty for the work her response was this is an all change it's just maintenance we don't warranty on that type of work. WTF? DO NOT GOTO THIS SHOP!!! unless you need your blood pressure PUMPED UP. read more

First place gave an estimate of $373. Second place was $284. Finally tried one more place which ended up being OR. The bill was $40. The only thing wrong was a clamp that broke on a radiator hose. Later on I found out that several co workers unbeknownst to one another also bring their vehicles here (and we work with mechanics so that says a lot). Yes this is cliche but being a woman it's hard to trust auto shops. But I needed my AC fixed so there I went. Erica was who I was referred to and I'll say the reviews on here are right.
