More recently, I took my car for an alignment, unfortunately my car needed urgent TLC they showed me what it was needed and were honest and recommended me some services ( the same dealership's recommendations) the only difference: the price !! I drove nearly 40 minutes in traffic and arrived exactly on time for my confirmed appointment, only to be told instantly that I would not be seen because a walk-in customer--who happened to be spending more money--would be taken first. Your staff openly stated that the other customer was spending around $800 while my Groupon appointment was "only about $40," and therefore I was effectively pushed aside and told to come back another day. Hearing this said so casually was astonishing. This behavior was not just unprofessional -- it was completely irrational. My service was a simple 15-minute oil change. Any business with even a basic understanding of operations would have completed the quick job first, kept both customers, and protected both profits. Instead, you chose the one option that shows a complete lack of logic and loses on every front. The decision-making displayed today was so fundamentally flawed that it raises serious concerns about the overall competence and standards of this shop. If such obvious, common-sense judgment is missing at the front desk, it is impossible to trust that more complicated work in the shop could be handled safely, responsibly, or intelligently. They claimed in the invoice that they replaced a part that was damaged and charged $300+ for a new part and labor. Sensors started going off after 2 days on/off. While taking it to a different shop, my car stalled and turned off. When the mechanics inspected my car and asked for the invoice, they noticed the part had not been replaced or changed. Now I have to pay $2500 to fix my car plus an additional $600. read more

Brought my car in for an oil change and my car requires a particular type of oil, when I called, the guy who answered the phone (Jerry) said yes they have that type of oil. I called Alpha State Auto Repair to schedule an alignment, and the experience was so ridiculous that I felt obligated to warn people. I asked for an appointment and was told they only take them "in the morning." Fine. Then that suddenly changed to only "8am" because, according to the guy on the phone, they "don't do afternoons." When I pointed out that there are other morning times besides 8am, the manager actually told me I should be grateful if he makes time for me. He went on about how he might have "thousand dollar jobs" later in the afternoon, so he can't make time for me unless it's at 8am. Yes, according to this guy, anything later than 8am is already the afternoon. When I pushed a little and asked if there was any other time in the morning, he finally admitted that 10am was possible, but only if no higher-paying customer shows up. If someone else walks in needing a more expensive repair, I would have to leave and come back another time. I asked him what the point of making an appointment is if they don't actually honor it, and he literally said, "Yo, just take it somewhere else, bro." This was one of the most unprofessional conversations I've ever had with a repair shop. The attitude, the disrespect, and the complete lack of basic courtesy were unbelievable. Saturday I was one of three cars that showed up at 8 am when Alpha State opened for business. I was met by Jerry, he ushered me and the other cars to move to the parking area behind the block wall. They had to move their mobile equipment blocking their three service bays and to set up the exterior waiting area in front of the block wall. A few minutes later, I was motioned to move the car to the end bay. So, last year I was ready to do the AC preventative maintenance but I said that my AC was working great and cold on the drive to their location in the valley. Jerry saved me from spending moolah on a Groupon of his. Kudos to him for being an honest business owner. This time around I wanted the AC inspected. Jerry told me his same philosophy as last year... If it ain't broke why fix it. The initial diagnosis came back good, the temp was running about 48°. The tech (Jose?) also checked my cabin air filter. He took it out and motioned it needed to be cleaned as it's a K&N washable filter. I told him I have the cleaner and will wash it at home. It seemed as if he wanted to complete the service and get my car out of there. I'm giving you guys 4 stars (B) for being in too much of a hurry. I was expecting a thorough AC service with the machine to evacuate freon and a pressure test but I did not even get an invoice describing the work that was done and what they found. I very much appreciate 100% transparency and thoroughness from any service business. I like things on a computer generated print out. I don't think this is their way. I was given a clip board when I arrived, filled out my info but that's as far as that went. I showed my Groupon voucher and the phone screen was swiped right away to mark it as redeemed. I hope Jerry will take this review as a critique to improve his service. I truly believe going the extra mile with his business practices will elevate him to 5 stars. I will definitely return for their Groupon deal on car's preventative AC maintenance needs though. I support small businesses. read more

Had a terrible experience here, I took my car in to get rear brakes done, I wasn't sure if rotors needed to be resurfaced or replace so the mechanic said that he would check it out and let me know. Mechanic called back about an hour later saying that the rotors need to be resurfaced and new brake pads, it would cost me $225 out the door. So I said ok let's do it! Well since having my car back all I hear is squeaking from back brakes and gradually getting worse, because of that, I took the car back. Another mechanic looked at the car and said that my rotor should have never been resurface in the first place that they needed to be replaced and to be quite honest I don't even think that they resurfaced my rotors based off how the car is braking. I asked for a refund for the "resurfacing job" they did(not for brakes and I was very rudely denied. The mechanic I took my car back too was very understanding, but the owner with the long hair is extremely unprofessional, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Used to be nice, quick service with reasonably cheap charges. Now they are completely opposite: overcharge a lot for extra oil, awfully long (1.5 hour for oil change, and that with appointment), and most importantly the owner (or manager?) is rude. We all got stress and the last thing we need is extra stress from a rude person. I didn't want to waste my time any further writing this review but his attitude is just something I despise. Also, when I got oil change over there a couple of years ago, they scraped my car on the ramp, but I let it slide (even gave five-star review) since the service was cheap, fast, and they were nice to me that time. Were they nice just because they were afraid of my claim for damage?! They did an overall check and told me I needed a transmission fluid change and showed me the oil color on his hand. I didn't have time to do this that day, so I brought the car home. I checked under the hood when I got home and found a funnel in the place where the engine oil is supposed to go in, and fluid splatter marks all over my dirty engine cover. Update: had to get my car repaired not even a month after because I noticed the oil leaking out. First of all, and all of this was told to me by PROFESSIONAL mechanics, they used the wrong oil pan for my car and 2 the hot glue or whatever they used to "seal" it obviously didn't work. Ended up paying almost triple just to repair what they were supposed to "fix". Although they charged me a great price at first, don't come unless u wanna end up having to get their mistakes repaired anyways. Tried to file a dispute on my card as well, but never got a receipt from them so the bank wouldn't refund me because they needed more proof. Stay safe y'all read more
