    Buyer beware! I took my car in for a 10am appintment, got a call at 5pm that tgey hadnt finished the car. It was for my headlights were out. Kind enough to give me a loaner so I dudnt have to drive my car hone at night with no head lights. Finally finished the car the next day, 180 bucks for the diagnostic to find the bulbs were blown out. But then they proceeded to yell me about all the reccomended repairs. They all seemed WAAAY to pricey but the one that stuck out was replacenent of the Mass Air Flow ( MAF) sensor. I actually gave changed one out myself, with a GM factory part same serial # etc etc as the original I was replacing. Got it ftom autozone for around 125.00. It took me all of 5 minutes to install with a Phillips head screw driver all of 2 screws. LITERALLY 5 minutes or less. You want to know what they quoted me??!! $489.00 for parts and labor. I called back to ask if this was a typo, I got the weirdest response. Beyond Shady!!! Actually kinda grimey! They are really glitzy and glamorous for a mechanic shop. Service under-writers, shuttle to and from the shop, on line appointment booking capability, free waters and sodas in the waiting area, loaner cars, super duper clean shop! But wow the HARD upselling, and then the pricing is quite honestly borderlibe extortion. Id rather to to a greese monkey shop, honest hard working spot that i can trust. Im new to the neighborhood so went off of yelp revies and that they are AAA certified. Plus they had a little 20% off coupon for first time customers to I gave them a go. So disappointed and quite honestly angry. Id stay away, especialky if you dont know your stuff, they just might take you to the cleaners like they tried to do me. Im quite sure this will get deleted so Ill cut and paste to Yelp. Good luck to all you hard working honest people who dont have tons of extra cash to throw away, lije me who is a Special Education Teacher. Obviously every penny counts when ur living off of a teachers budget. Happy hunting folks hope this might save someone out there valuable time and or $$!!!!!

    The price and the "discount" that they were so proud to give me

    Brought my car in for antifreeze leak and an oil leak. Was initially quoted $1800 to fix it (which already felt like I was being over charged) then as soon as I left the car for the To repair they called back and said it was gonna be 2500 to fix after finding another broken part. Alright now that's $700 more than the initial quote. Even though I felt like this was a strong arm sales tactic (since they pretend to give discounts, though the labor charges say otherwise) I agreed to the fix because I wanted my car fixed immediately. I got a call saying my car is ready, but I would have to bring it back and pay $350 to flush out the antifreeze system because there's oil in it. I paid them $2500 to fix a leak and they have the audacity to not finish the job I paid them for, gave my car back which is still leaking PLUS my low coolant light is back on not even 24hrs later. I definitely feel scammed. Never again, Please avoid this place at all costs.

    I had to take my infinity to get it serviced before a road trip. My regular mechanic was not able to do infinity cars. So I searched on Yelp and read the reviews because I'm aware that some automatic mechanics can be untrustworthy. The autoshoo place was very clean. I was greeted by Kyle who was very courteous and patient. They sent a whole assessment of the car's health. I'm impressed with the evaluation done with Pictures to show the issues at hand. Being an 8-year-old car, some issues needed to be addressed. KYLE spent time prioritizing what needed to be done And the price was accurately estimated and what could wait. He was patient and explaining different car parts and the functions of them. Car was ready at the time promised And the price was accurately estimated

    This place does good work and good service - a shuttle car that will take you around while your car is there. Their diagnostics is not free but for me it made sense - the problem was identified. The prices here are on the higher end, possibly due to extra level of service. Something to keep in mind - make sure you understand that they mark the price of parts up and then add a margin on top. They will charge you extra for parts vs what you would pay online. If you understand what their markup is and you are happy with it - no problem. I was charged $350 for the part that costed them $155. Also the reviews here are likely skewed because they call you and explain how bad reviews affect their business.

    Remember to always get a second opinion. I did not have a good experience here when I took my Honda Accord in for a rattling/grinding noise during cold start coming from the engine that I suspect was the chain tensioner. I called ahead to make an appointment and communicate what was the issue. The reason I give a 2 star is because the mechanic scratch my ceramic coated car near the driver handle, didn't put back the engine cover back on properly, left fingerprints smudges on the hood and driver door area, dirty the driver side floor with footprints, the communication with the advisor Efrian was not good, they tried to get me to leave my car over the weekend and loan me a free car I wasn't comfortable in (check pictures) with ripped up leather seats, told me the cabin AC filter was bad even though I changed it myself last month and the reason just didn't make sense especially when I checked it myself. Air filter doesn't need changing after a month and less not even 1,000 miles on it. Overall my experience here was horrible and they couldn't even pinpoint the issue after I left my car there for literally the whole day. They charge a high cost to look into the issue first and do their so called "courtesy check" which I believe is a way to sell you on certain things you don't need at almost dealership price too. The staff are friendly that's true when I interacted with them, I only came here because I saw they had great reviews on Yelp and Google but I was one of their rare customer that they dropped the ball on when they told me they take great care of people cars but I didn't experience that. They also have shuttle service here where they can drop you off. I reached out for the owner of the shop to contact me and he responded back. He agree that the communication could've been better and that they should have put things back properly but was rush since I didn't like the loaner car. He offered to clean the car and make things right by being my service advisor with a new mechanic but I don't trust the shop so I decline it. This is why I give a 2 star instead of 1. So if you come here, take before pictures of your car for your own proof and always get a second opinion. My car needs a new timing belt, I took it to another shop that was highly recommended and they did the inspection for free. Dealership will overcharge you but it's because it's the dealer and the shop is doing it for half the dealership price. The shop I'm using to do the job also have great reviews on Yelp, Google and Carfax.

I requested a brake inspection, which was really quick, turned out I had to get my rear brakes changed. They offered to do it the same day for a very reasonable price and less than 3 hours later, my car was ready. Joe has worked on my car for small items like brakes and oil changes all the way up to getting some check engine light issues fixed. Pricing is always great. Brought my car here for a diagnostic thinking the issue was one thing only to find out "no, you don't need that," and saved me a bunch of money I would have likely spent elsewhere. He didn't push me to fix anything that didn't need fixing and pointed out a few things that were old that I might want replaced so I just took all his suggestions because it's a very old car and it needed some extra care. I went in for transmission fluid change earlier in February in my Toyota Camry 2018. I bought OEM Toyota transmission fluid and asked Joe to help do drain and fill.The drain and fill was completed. After that there was a rough driving issues started. I went back to show my car to joe and he drove the car he told me he don't see any issues. I wanted him to check transmission fluid port on if there is low transmission fluid he didn't agree and told me I might be overthinking. I went to different mechanic in April and he checked. I paid $100 to reopen the port for transmission fluid and what we saw was no fluid came out from the primary port. He added 0.5 quarters left. The issues I have had for rough idle and need to have higher RPM on slope went away completely.According to him you have to keep the car running when you drain the fluid and you need to have it at the right temperature he said the drain and fill wasn't done correctly that's why there was still room for fluid. The viscosity of the fluid makes a difference in how much you can fill and drain. He double checked for leakage and there were no leaks either. When I went to joe and asked about don't you have to keep car warm to see if temperature is right? He said you only do it when there is a leak. I don't think Joe knew enough about mechanics of New car. I wasn't overthinking when I went to ask Joe for help and asked to recheck the transmission fluid. I paid $260 for labor only( $160 to Joe and $100 to another mechanic) for same job. It's really absurd. Overall this could have damaged my transmission. I think for future the customer advise should be taken seriously. I know my car well so I know when it's not acting good. I have been driving it from 10 years.

    chris, you should be seeking professional help to deal with your misconceptions of reality. chuck,…read morethanks for your reply. i did 'seek help". i originally asked you for a second opinion. my car sat idle while we put transmission fluid in - was not smoking. when you dropped off your car, you said you were going to out of town for a week.no.when i came in you asked me to come back later, 4 days, then my car sat there not looked at for 5 more days to which i ask, "should i pick it up", i'm going on vacation for a week. i was told it's best to leave it. i originally came to ag automotive a year+ as second opinion. an oil change mechanic thought i needed a new engine because of smoking that stopped within a minute of turning it on, especially in the morning. no driving issues, i just didn't like the smoke. i called and asked what you would charge to replace a head gasket or engine. you said it's best to bring it in so you could determine if it's possibly something else. which i agreed & did. where after testing it was determined i needed a new fuel pump. the car's tailpipe was not smoking at all that time & i didn't have the stalling issues. so, i said let's do that and since it's been a while, please add new spark plugs. i picked up my car and drove away. it seemed to drive the same as before, didn't notice too much of a difference except now it would occasionally bog out going from the 101s to 405n turnpike, which it did not do in the past. i then bought a new car... didn't drive this car, but eventually decided i would sell it. i gave it a fresh oil change and added lucas oil 10278 engine oil stop leak because yes there was a small leak on my driveway. i also added lucas oil transmission fix and k-seal pour and go head gasket sealer. it did have heating issues which stopped after adding. where you wasted months has nothing to do with us. if you ask me, you''ve probably wasted abit mire than a few months of your life. the first thing i told you was "this thing needs an engine" you assured me the smoke billowing out of the tailpipe "stops in a few minutes." it did stop in a few minutes. it was not smoking when i brought it to you. you brought your mazda in stating "the fuel pump you put in last year is no good. i said, it's bogging out sometimes and the last thing i had done was the 'fuel pump and spark plugs'. i did not say 'faulty fuel pump'. it starts, runs, but if you turn it off and let it sit, it will not restart." this part is true. i would drive somewhere and let it sit for an hour and it would have trouble starting. we checked the fuel pressure and noticed that it would drop after 10 min. we removed the injector rail and visually confirmed fuel dripping from three out of the four injectors. since we were already at the fuel pump checking pressure i ordered a new pump and spent 10 min installing it. as if on cue, when i told you about the injectors, you said "it's the fuel pump just replaced." i saved an hour long debate with you when i explained how we had just replaced the pump, which we did under warranty at no charge to you. remember, we had dealt with you before.. dealt with me? we had noticed that your spark plugs were fouled and one coil was not firing. the spark plugs were not even a year old. they were replaced at the same time as the fuel pump. we also noted the compression was normal. once again i brought up the excessive smoking. again you, said "it only happens after it sits and quickly goes away". when did you 'once again bring up excessive smoke?at this point we had no reason to think you were being dishonest. because i'm not. i explained it could be that the leaking injector were washing the rings, causing the excessive smoke. so we fixed the injectors with your approval. yes. once again, the shop was filled with smoke. i have no idea why. i called you down to the shop, since your version of the smoking did not make any sense.i called several times in a week to get answers and was finally told over the phone that it was the injectors and if i replace them it will "run like a brand new car... when i got back from my trip, i again had trouble getting answers and was told to come in... showing up, i did not in the least bit recognize the amount of unfettered smoke coming out of the tail pipe of my car in my life before this day. i was told the car's oil was emptied and replaced with a "thicker oil".. even though i had just had an oil change with added lucas oil stop leak before bringing it in. after showing you the smoke, you pulled the classic "it wasn't doing that before" it wasn't. now i knew you were lying. i told you i would install your old injectors and you could take the car. before re-installing the plugs i noticed liquid in # 3 cylinder. we blew it out, and we were able to watch the cylinder fill up. i also noticed that the fluid had an orange tint. i didn't care about paying for the injectors and i was telling the truth. new injectors stayed in by the way. cont'd in photo:

When my car overheated and was losing coolant, Ray quickly diagnosed a leaking hose and repaired it the very same day, getting me safely back on the road at a fair price. Another time, when the check engine light came on, he identified that it was simply the battery and replaced it efficiently. What I appreciate most is his honesty. Just yesterday, my check engine light came on again, and after running diagnostics, Ray explained that the system was detecting vapor from the refueling area and that I likely just needed to tighten my gas cap. He could have easily charged me for unnecessary work, but instead, he gave me the correct guidance--and didn't charge me a thing. He has even helped me with small things, like replacing the battery in my key fob, at no cost. Ray is the kind of mechanic everyone hopes to find--skilled, fair, honest, and genuinely committed to taking care of his customers. When you leave his shop, you feel confident and secure knowing your vehicle was serviced correctly. In Los Angeles, the driving capital of the world, there isn't a shortage of mechanics and body shops but not all are created equally. JoJo's Auto Body is top notch! My dad has been a client of Manar and JoJo's Auto Body for various projects and of course recommended him highly. My dad is of a certain generation where nothing less than perfection is acceptable, so I knew he'd done his due diligence. JoJo's had done some significant work on two of my parents' cars. Of course, then, I contact Manar. Unfortunately, parked right in front of our home, my driver's side view mirror was clipped by a passing car that had drifted. I happened to be inside the car and the car drifted right, hit the mirror and sped off. Immediately after, I contacted Manar. We scheduled an intake. He was punctual, professional, and transparent about options and cost. He provided me with the necessary information and I felt absolutely no pressure to make a decision immediately. He had one of his technicians tape up the remnants of the rear view mirror to cover it while we decided. A few weeks passed and we decided to have the entire mirror replaced. We asked Manar to let us know when the mirror would arrive and we could just come in and have it taken care of quickly. He contacted me on a Monday to say the mirror replacement was at the shop. We scheduled a time for me to take the car on Wednesday and within 35 minutes of arriving the work was done. In addition to his professionalism, quality of work, and honesty, Jojo's is a well managed and kept body shop. I mean no one really wants to sit around a body shop but if ever you need to, JoJo's is immaculate. There is plenty of parking, clear signage, and a welcome reception and office manager. Each visit I was asked if I needed anything to drink, including water or coffee. There is clear management signage about their policies and pricing No one ever wants to deal with body work but if you have to, please do yourself a favor and go to JoJo's Auto Body! That was the exact reasoning given. This was not about warranty. It was not about saving me money. I was fully prepared to pay for an inspection or any necessary correction. I was simply asking for a professional second opinion. If a shop refuses work because they're concerned a customer might "get upset," that raises serious questions about confidence in their own work. A reputable shop stands behind its skills and diagnoses issues regardless of who previously touched the vehicle. Changing the explanation publicly after the fact does not reflect well. I stand by what I said. I had a very disappointing experience at Automotive Instincts in Northridge. I called and spoke with Steve about looking at my car after another shop had worked on it, and he basically told me they didn't want to touch it because another shop already did the work. His reasoning was that he didn't want me to "get upset at them too." That makes absolutely no sense. As a customer, I'm simply looking for a professional second opinion or proper correction if something wasn't done right. Refusing to even inspect the vehicle just because another shop previously worked on it feels unprofessional and dismissive. Cars get worked on by multiple shops all the time -- that's normal. Turning someone away out of fear of a bad review instead of standing behind your own skills says a lot. Very disappointing customer service. I expected more professionalism and confidence from a shop with such high ratings.
